Our waitress had a trainee helping her and they both went above and beyond to be sure we had a great meal. The smoked and grilled bologna sandwich was yummy, and the portion was huge. I decided on the Cuban Reuben and fries. I like that there are a variety of potato/side options. I do wish they had mashed potatoes but that's a personal preference. The sandwich was soo good! This is a regular stopping ground to have great fresh food, plenty of tv 's to watch games. Each night always has something going on. Hurricane Helene hit us a few days ago and Rueben's stepped to take care of their customers. Set up their food truck out front since there is no power. Great food and friendly staff. read more

We absolutely loved it! ... I had the smoked turkey reuben sandwich and my son had the wings - Both were delicious. The wait staff was great, and the unexpectedly fun part... They were having live "Juke Box Bingo" while we're were there. for a couple of bucks, we got bingo cards that had different song titles as the squares, and whatever song was played you got to cross off until some got Bingo. we had so much fun! read more

I had gotten the Reuben American burger, delicious the best tasting burger I've had in a long time . My husband had gotten the ribeye steak , he said it was good. I was really impressed with the side salad . I looked amazing, tasted amazing just an all around great salad . A friend of ours swears by this place... so we had to try it out! My wife had the fried grouper sandwich and I had 12 buffalo hot wings. The grouper sandwich was pretty good. Being from Florida we're used to fresh fish. The wings were very tasty. 2 things to note: If you use a credit card, the upcharge is 3%. Second, the price for 12 wings on the menu was around $12.00 but the actual price when the bill came was $16 and some change. I realize there is some type of poultry shortage and I'm ok with the upcharge, but at least be transparent and put the correct price on the menu. I would have given Rubens 5 stars if we were aware of the price change before the bill. We will return! read more

Well, I scratched this itch. I drive past Reubens every Clemson game day and then frequently other times back and forth (3 current students) and have always wanted to stop. Also, I have been on a quest to find the best Reuben sandwich in Greenville area. Current champion is Bacon Brothers, but it is a default since The Cafe at Williams Hardware in TR closed and abdicated the top spot to Bacon Brothers. Which, if you have not surmised, Reubens Reuben did not make the cut to the top. The restaurant is clean and it is really a sports "dive bar" atmosphere with at least 10 large flat screen TV's positioned throughout. There is a large bar area that blends into a restaurant seating area, so it is a mix of sports bar/restaurant and there also is a small stage in the corner, I presume live music is on tap some nights. As others noted, the service is good and the staff is polite and attentive. So, three stars for the Reuben and crinkle fries. Three stars means OK. The fries were standard frozen and thrown in a fryer and then let them sit for a while, so they were dry and a little stale. Edible, but just OK. The Reuben was a hot mess. Marbled rye, smoked corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese. I prefer Russian dressing, but that is also OK. There was a generous portion of dressing, probably too much. The downfall of most Reuben sandwiches was present, the soggy bottom bread. Also with such a sandwich, ratios of ingredients is important. This one was dominated by the thick sliced corned beef and dressing and a bit light on the cheese and sauerkraut. I wound up eating one half of it with a fork and just eating the insides. Reubens is 8 miles from my work. I made a special trip to finally try their sandwich. It was OK, but I don't plan on another trip here unless I am just passing by and the mood strikes me. Otherwise, itch scratched. Moving on. read more

Our house hunting adventures brought us to Piedmont, SC. If you are looking for a family friendly place to eat with great BBQ and friendly service you'll have to stop here. They have inside and outdoor dining (it was raining so we chose inside) I had the Cuban Ruben and my wife had the Smoky Bbq Plate. Both dishes were fantastic. We would suggest the honey mustard bbq sauce. See if you get them to get you a Sind of extra hush puppies, they are scrumptious! We split the banana pudding for dessert it came in a 12 oz Ball jar! Smelled stale and was very warm inside (the heat I'm assuming was because it's been so cold, and today happened to be warm). The smell not sure. Just old and musty. The service: Amazing! Our server (it says Angela G on the receipt) was so friendly. Not overly, just right. She kept our drinks full and our table cleared. The girl that was running the bar was also super nice. As the restaurant got busier she came out and helped our server busy tables, clean up, take orders etc. The food: The salad bar is amazing! You can add it to an entree for $3.99. Do it. It's so worth it. Everything was crisp and super fresh. The server and bartender kept checking it repeatedly. I had the smoked Reuben sandwich $8.50 with house made chips. The chips were delicious. The sandwich wasn't the best. The bread was buttery and toasty but the corned beef was tough and stringy and it just lacked flavor all together. Our new favorite spot, Reubens is a great local spot with a sports bar feel but is still laid back and family friendly. Nice TVs all around the restaurant for watching any games that are on. Have tried the BBQ, hamburgers, and chicken tenders and everything has been great! Most meals come with a trip to the salad bar, which is well stocked.
