It was a hot day so we opted to sit outside under the right red umbrellas and enjoy a lunch big enough to share. The chicken tender was piping hot, very spicy Cajun, yummy. The french fries were OK, and had a Cajun seasoning as well. The chicken slider was big! It was served on a tender bun, medium spicy hot chicken, served with a little cup of delicious dipping sauce . Omg finally from all the reviews and tiktoks I've seen with Dave's Hot chicken i finally got to taste it too and let me tell you it was NOT disappointing at all!!! I Freeeeaking Loved it! I asked for the Hot sliders and Hot honey dipping and it was delicious with the delicious crunchy fries omg & with my very cold Orange Fanta it was a perfect meal (mouth watering while typing) I definitely recommend hear if you are looking for a spicy chicken to eat. The chicken was cooked well, but moist throughout. The Medium spice is about as spicy as I'll ever order. I kinda like to taste the actual chicken. Service was prompt. I even ordered a small thing of macaroni and cheese just to see what that was like. The fries were ok. They are your standard chicken-place fries with some seasoning on it, arguably the best part of the meal. The Mac n Cheese was the worst mac n cheese I had ever tasted. I don't know how you could botch something like that, but it just tasted bland. No flavor whatsoever. The pickles on the side are...pickles. Neat addition, I guess. And now the sliders. The bun, sauce, and kale slaw were good additions to what I can only describe as: "a cayenne pepper-battered slab of dry meat." It was all spice, with little flavor or substance. The only flavor present was in the lightly drizzled sauce on it that got easily overshadowed by the pungent capsaicin that does nothing but settle into your mouth for the next 10 minutes and override any sense of taste and smell And the worst part of all of this? It was our first (and definitely last) visit. I ordered (3) two-piece tender meals. One with no spice for my daughter, another mild for my son, and a hot spice for myself. When we sat down, my chicken (hot) looked the same dark red as my son's mild but it was our first time and we just started eating. His chicken was incredibly spicy--clearly not what we ordered. I politely took it back to the counter and explained the mix-up. Instead of remaking the order, they handed me a basket with just one tender and a piece of bread--no fries or second tender. The kitchen staff (specifically a lady with a yellow bandana working the kitchen window) said, "The box you gave us was all ate up, so I'm just giving you back what you gave us." He had only taken a couple bites to realize it was wrong (enough to know it was way too hot) and maybe a few fries--the plate was far from "eaten up." The dark red tenders we returned didn't even resemble the mild one they gave back, so the error should have been obvious. This kind of dismissive customer service is unacceptable. The sliders are big enough to be a sandwich, and we split this meal just fine. The fries are crinkle cut, and covered in tons of overly salty chemical tasting seasoning, that I definitely could've done without. My son got a single chicken slider, no spice, with just Dave's sauce for $6.70. He said it has zero flavor, so I tried it, and correct, no flavor at all. I'm confused why no spice needs to equal no flavor... he wouldn't eat it. The guy who took our order was sweet and did well. The rest of the staff were not the friendliest. Many employees standing around, yet all the tables were filthy, and no one cleaning them. We had to get a Clorox wipe and wipe them ourselves. The food was "for here", yet they give everyone their food in bags and boxes, with no trays. Not my favorite. And makes it hard to share any food. Also no drive thru In case someone needed to know that info. But they do have a pick up window for online orders. We won't be back. Not great. Golden brown delicious at the Commons has a better fried chicken sandwich. And if you're ever around a BurgferFi (GA, AL, FL I believe) try their spicy chicken sandwich and taste the difference in quality. And I'm sure many other places. Not only was it a weird texture because it was so powdery, but it also smelled weird. The actual meat was nice and tender, but we couldn't eat it because of the coating. The fries weren't good, they somehow were seasoned but still super bland. The bread, slaw, pickles, and sauce were all good, but since the main thing you taste is the chicken, we ended up having to throw it away and go elsewhere. It had been a while since I've had it last, so it was like trying them for the first time again. The chicken was just what I wanted! Crispy and hot. My boyfriend and I went opening day, so there was a line outside, but the workers were accommodating and made sure everyone was ok and gave out water cups. The line went by fast and we ordered a tender and slider with the spice level "hot" (we overheard one of the workers saying the "reaper" spice level was extremely hot and they even make you sign a waiver before you order). I love spicy foods, but not that spicy! The building is a decent size and there is also outdoor seating. The workers are also very friendly. I always see the same person in the front whenever i go and he is super helpful with not only explaining the menu when i want to pick something new.
