Damn this Popeyes sucks! The chicken sandwich was awesome when it first came out. Now it's always a tiny piece of chewy chicken cold and just nasty. The workers seem like they don't care whatsoever and the drive-thru is a disaster. The last three times I've come here they were out of spicy chicken, lemonade, sweet heat sauce, etc. I normally just decided, because a spicy chicken breast as a snack or small meal, is the best thing on the menu to just order this and nothing else. Last time they were completely out of spicy chicken. The time before it was a 12 minute wait. How does this place seriously make enough profit to stay open? I'm so bummed how much the " chicken sandwich " has fallen. This is actually one of the best fast food places when it's done right but this place is a disaster and hopefully the current owner sells it to someone who gives a crap. read more

Decided to try the new popeye's over on the Northwest side of town. Drive-through was very very slow. Wife had asked for dark meat and only got like one piece of dark meat the rest was white my blackened chicken sandwich 1 of them looked like half the meat was taken off. Was not what I expected only reason I gave them a 4 instead of 3 was because there was only 3 ladies hustling in there to do their best.. Was feeling very lazy and decided to get some chicken from Popeyes instead of heading home and making dinner for myself. I ordered an eight piece meal with Mac+Cheese. Now, the Mac+Cheese was decent, and so were the biscuits, but the chicken? Oh boy... first, it was overdone or had been sitting in the warming tray a bit too long, because by the time I got it home (less than five minutes from Popeyes) the chicken was dry and had that "I've been sitting under a heat lamp for too long" feel to it. In addition, when you order an eight piece, you expect to get two pieces of each type (leg, thigh, breast, and wing)... nope, not this time... they decided to substitute a wing for one of the legs, which sucks because they basically did a substitution with one of the poorest pieces you can get in a collection like this. I was willing to give this location a second shot after my first attempt, as the first time I went it was shortly after they had opened and I figured they were still going through some opening pains at that point, but it has now been over a year since they opened, and it has not gotten any better (perhaps even worse). Deep breath... exhale slowly... on a Saturday at 2pm, there is no reason that employees should be outside in their phone, while patrons are waiting for 30 minutes for 3 tenders and a sandwich... c'mon! That doesn't include the lack of ice in the machine or the lack of anything to drink other than sweet/unsweet tea. I'm a very patient person, but I also know when I'm being taken advantage of. Also, if you say something will be ready in 2 minutes, 4 times, stop saying 2 minutes... say 10, say 15, but don't just keep pushing it off, be honest up front. My toddler would appreciate that. Arrived shortly after opening. Never addressed when we came in. Associate working register already sitting down eating her lunch. Asked another associate to take our order. Associates said they were busy. She reluctantly came to take our order. Asked for a 3 piece white, got 2 dark, 1 white. Red beans & rice luke warm. Stomach upset since eating there. Last time we came they had no napkins or paper towels anywhere in the restaurant. This is a direct reflection on management. Poor customer service & food safety protocols not being followed. Sometimes you just get a craving that can only be satisfied by a Popeyes chicken sandwich. I stopped at this Popeyes location in north Gainesville after going to the Walmart nearby. The drive-thru was fast, the workers were pleasant, and my spicy chicken sandwich was hot, ready, and delicious. You cannot ask for more from any Popeyes. This location of Popeyes sucks. Slowest drive through line in America. Food quality is just like any other Popeye's location, but you will age about 10 years in the drive-thru line. I went there today. Order some spicy chicken. They did not have any legs or thighs, just breast So when I got my order, they gave me my chicken breast.They forgot my mashed potatoes,and red beans and rice and one biscuit spent thirty seven dollars in all. I order my food and as soon as I got to the window and paid for my meal, I was asked to move up. It took 25 minutes from when I placed my order to receive it (I went to the drive-thru). Went here with my wife tonight. Saw the tremendous line in the drive thru. Decided to walk inside to order, stand at the cash register ready to order for about 3mins. Manager yells, "Lobby is closed! If you want to get served go through the drive thru..." We ask what time do you all close? He said 10, but the lobby is closed and I'm under-manned. Piss poor planning on your part doesn't justify attitude towards your customers. Long story short, food here is alright if you want to wait atleast 15-20mins on it. I waited over 15 minutes to order while staff was cleaning up after the 12pm rush and doing other tasks. They were also favoring the drive-thru, as so many restaurants do these days. I went out in the rain to get a chicken sandwich. Myself and 3 other customers walked out as the manager and another employee kept saying they would take my order and kept doing tasks. I am not even hungry any more and will not be going back to this location. The manager was apologetic, however customer service has gotten ridiculous. I don't know what's going on with this Popeyes but they're so slow with service, their organization is not there and they do not possess any professional skills. The working staffs, where their pants falling off of their butt and showing their underwear. That is disgusting and should be a food hazard. Barely anybody is wearing personal protective equipment while serving food to the public. If someone could manage cooking the chicken at an efficient time and tighten up how the staff address the customers, wear PPE, and wear the uniform properly this Popeyes could take off in a better way. read more

I can certainly understand the one and a half star rating. The owner of this so called restaurant wasted their money. Went there and ordered Surf and Turf and was told they had no shrimp. While waiting another customer comes in and orders the Tackle Box which is pop corn shrimp. Don't know why the manager didn't mention it. Then there was confusion over which chicken we wanted spicy and which we wanted mild. If not for the worker paying attention the chicken fiasco would have taken longer to straighten out. Finally we were told order was ready so as we double checked we found out our four apple pies were not in the order.
