Wow. Shocked by how delicious this place was. I wouldn't call it fast food, the drive-thru certainly took a long time. But you could tell how good this place is by the fact that there was a line down the street at 3pm on a Sunday. I got the turkey burger, and before you say "fake burger!", let me tell you it was the best turkey burger I've ever had. And to me, it was better than the regular beef burger (which was still good). We came after a long day of running around doing errands to get some dinner little did we know they don't stick to their hours. We didn't know they closed at 6.. but besides that we were there at 5:57 kids in the car and was told they were closed. The BEST burger I've had in the area!!!!! I enjoyed the casual atmosphere by being able to order in my car, wait for it to be cooked and picking up on other side! What a fantastic experience, you have the option of drive thru or park and order at a walk up window. Bevs keeps the traditional burger joint experience and I appreciate that so much. The burgers are very typical to a "smash burger" which is our family's favorite kind of burger. The meat was fresh, flavor was on point, the grilled cheese is made with a bun and cheese, exactly what you would expect and hit the spot perfectly. Their fried okra is flavorful and has the right amount of crispiness. Their french fries were salted perfectly. Sweet potato fries amazing. What a total hidden gem this place is! It's about a mile off the highway and a very unassuming - dual drive-through window building... This place is amazing - togo, it only has outdoor seating in a potentially questionable area which is located next to Main St., Alachua but still with only outdoor seating I recommend a quick pitstop... I have so much more to write but I have to continue driving home and this place is certainly one of my favorite spots right off the highway on the way to South Florida! Went kayaking on the river to see all the springs and this was the perfect little spot to stop at on the way back. You can drive through or there's a little covered patio area you can order at the window. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Cheese was melted. It has been a long while since I have been to Bev's. I used to come here all the time a couple of years ago, but lately my travels have not been taking me up to Alachua, so it has sort of fallen to the wayside. However, I got to stop by recently, and really nothing has changed. Similar to other burger places in the area, this is a good old burger stand that takes care of its customers. Lots of different offerings are available, and if the line of cars is ever an indication of just how good they are, well... the line of cars when I pulled into the parking lot was out into the street and causing a bit of a traffic jam. The folks inside haven't really changed in the ten years that I have been going here. They know what they are doing, get the food out is a reasonable amount of time considering everything is made to order, and the food is always tasty. Fries cooked crisp on the outside and steamy and pillowy inside. Salted just right. Classic thin, flavor-packed burger, brioche bun. They serve the rootbeer with crushed ice- the only way to go. . Fried okra, corn nuggets, and onion rings are probably amazing but it's just me- so I'll have to pass. . . On the way to the Springs we saw another one. Both of them have constant lines of cars around the building waiting for drive-through service. It's not super quick but it's super good and worth the wait. It's quick enough. Had the opportunity to eat at the second of the 3 Bev's Better Burgers and this one is as good as the other one I have been to. I love Bev's and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to stop for a quick burger and fries. I am not a huge fan of the sweet tea, but everything else is awesome. I think what is setting Bev's apart is the freshness of the ingredients they put into the food. I love the burgers and they say they cook them fresh. I love the toppings and think they are all fresh as well. I overall love everything Bev's Better Burgers serves up! I also think the fries are super yummy. I think they are salted wonderfully. I would highly recommend they you do stop at any of these awesome locations when in the High Springs or Alachua area.
