Ordering was mostly easy, though there was a brief language barrier when I asked for a chicken thigh but the staff kept saying no side. There was some confusion at first, but another staff member stepped in and helped, and everything worked out. The chicken came out quickly, was flavorful, and definitely spicy. The food is always well prepared, but almost every time we visit this location, they shirt us on pieces of chicken or do not provide the appropriate pieces of chicken in the order. Today, we ordered the largest family meal they had, I believe it was 16 pieces , spicy with three sides. We ordered it Spicy. When we arrived home , we discovered that we had only ONE breast in the ENTIRE meal, it should Al least come with two..and what was basically a box full of wings. Poor customer service. 7-20-25 ordered 5 piece, fries, coleslaw, lemonade, 3 peppers and apple pie. Had to wait about 5-7 minutes for them to prepare. I went in to get food because it was taking too long. Got home and bigger pieces of chicken were burnt. The fries were cold, biscuits were hard and I didn't get peppers. So I called to let them know and the lady answered listened to complaint then passed the phone to the man that took my order. He kept screaming that the chicken was fresh. I explained it was hot but either the grease was old or grease wasn't hot enough and they let the chicken site. He kept saying bring it back and I explained that I just got off a plane and I wasn't coming back but wanted them to be aware of the poor service that I received. He just kept yelling. By far the worst experience we've ever had in a drive thru. We ordered online so we could just pick it up and not have to wait in line. They closed the inside so you can't pick it up. You have to go through the drive through which took 45 minutes because they are wanting to stall time to avoid more customers. The low rating is for Popeyes employees. The store was disgusting. Crumbs and nastiness all over the tables. Napkins not being refilled. Bathroom paper towels not filled. Now I get they're "busy" with the chicken sandwich hysteria but it appeared to me that there were ample employees who could've taken the time to clean the dining area. And true to all the media, we witnessed an employee and customer cursing and yelling at each other over who knows what. EVERYTIME I come to location they get my order incorrect. I went through the drive thru and said my order 4 times to 2 different employees. Even went in the store because I didn't think it was correct and get home to mild chicken. I had to get ask for one of my large sides that they forgot and the lady had an attitude and then gave me a few small sides instead of a large one. The sign states new management but it's still the same issues and terrible customer service. This location needs to be trained properly. It wasn't even put in a plastic bag, but it was put in a small paper bag that the side items are normally placed and it was scrunched up @the ends by the person in the window. Not to mention the person taking my order was rude, and he didn't even tell me my total when he took my payment. To make matters worse when he handed me my receipt I noticed it said mild instead of spicy like I ordered so I brought it to his attention. I accidentally placed an order for another popeyes, and after showing them the order, I was unable to get a refund or the food I ordered from this location because of "inventory concerns". I was told there was nothing they could do to help me , despite looking at the 6 pans of chicken they had in the back. They laughed in the kitchen and just looked at me like I was stupid. Absolutely terrible and disrespectful. Apparently, the customer is not always right. Who takes inventory of already cooked food? I can see why this place has such low ratings. I usually don't expect much from fast food drive thru but this was one of the worst! It wasn't even a a busy afternoon yet, the workers constantly put every car on hold. And by the time I got to the speaker to order, a dude told me to hold on. And so I waited. I put in a mobile order for the location @ Katy fwy feeder near Mason Rd. When I ordered it said notify within 5 minutes of arrival. I did that as i was less than 5 mins of arrival. The app told me to go inside and they would call my name. Inside there was a sign for mobile pickup. I stood there 6' away from counter. While standing there i notice the young teen filling orders keep taking his mask down. When he put it back up he kept it below his nose. I asked the young man to wear the mask all the time and wear it properly. His Manager told me it was very warm and couldn't breathe. I told her that it does no good to lower it especially take it off while he was in food prep, or in the store. She ignored that so I got my phone out tio take a picture, at the same time I noticed she had hers below her nose She noticed and ordered me to stand on other side where people were ordering with the 6' rule. I said the sign showed that I pick up mobile orders on that side. She ignored me again. While on other side i was no longer in view of prep area. Unfortunately this pic is out of focus and doesn't show details. While waiting, this was after 10 minutes a few people came in and ordered their food, paid and walked out with their food. Now there were a few standing in mobile order line. I finally walked up and asked her (Manager) if the Mobile Order was ready. She kept saying she couldn't understand or hear me. I kept repeating until I was yelling, finally getting my order. While customer service was a negative 10, the real reason for this post was to advise everyone to stay away due to safety procedures were not being followed for prevention of Coronavirus flu. read more

Service was terrible because all of the employees were walking around speaking Spanish to each other and not taking my order. One of the employees had her kids there and all of the attention was on them making sure they were fed and had drinks. Meanwhile, I was waiting on my food while the 3 or 4 lady cooks were in the back giggling and laughing having a great time. Finally, I received my food but they forgot my Dr. Pepper and my chicken tenders. So, I went back up there again, this time they were giggling with a Spanish speaking customer sharing dabs and continuing to handle the food without washing hands after outside contact with a customer. Once I finally received my food and beverage, I noticed they gave me a Coke and not Dr. Pepper, my biscuit was harder than hockey puck and the popcorn shrimp were 90% breading. A handfulof which I opened didn't even have shrimp in it. After I noticed all of the issues with my food, I walked back up to the counter to ask for napkins and ketchup, which were completely absent in the lobby, while I stood there waiting, another Spanish speaking customer came in for a to go order, and literally 4 employees helped her while the managers were switching cash tills and messing with their iPhone. I then noticed an employee walk from behind the register back to the two employees kids, who screamed the entire time yelling at each other, and wipe their mouths while I stood and listened to the customer and the employees giggle and talk. I understand it is fast food and that you shouldn't set your expectations high but, WTH, at least pretend you care. That's probably why Chick Fil-A is destroying the fast food market. read more

Out of all KFC, Church's and ever other Popeyes locations, this one is by far my favorite! I have been going there for 6 years, about once-twice a month and I never ever had any problems with them. Atmosphere: This place is always clean, some Popeyes location can be sketchy but not this one. Even their restroom is clean Food: Food is always food, I've tried Popeyes chicken from other locations and Yukk, it was nasty. But this one is always fresh, always hot, tastes good. They don't even charge extra if you want extra sauces like other locations Customer service: I enjoy the customer service other there. Honestly it's not usual for popeyes but this location is different. They greet you when you come in, and thank you on your way out. Always on top of their stuff. We are all humans that make mistakes, so if they give me the wrong order they always fix it for me right away with no issue. If you are around this area, or ever if you have another Popeyes closer to you than this one, I definitely recommend this particular Popeyes. 3 Strikes and you're out!!!! This USED to be my favorite Popeyes location in the Katy area. I've given them several opportunities to "get it right" and they just can't seem to get it together. They are always "out" of something... Pepsi, fries, CHICKEN! On multiple occasions they've shut down the kitchen an hour before closing time i.e. only serving chicken strips. Now on to the customer service or lack there of... never a smile or thank you..EVER!
