We placed our order online at 12:22 and arrived about ten minutes later, which the team members acknowledged when we got there. Despite that, we didn't receive our food until 12:55. It wasn't that the chicken wasn't ready--they eventually just slapped it on the buns like it had been sitting there the whole time. One employee in particular stood out--not in a good way. She was moving painfully slow, wearing fur boots (which I question as ServSafe compliant or even hygienic), and showed no urgency at all despite clearly being aware of our presence. Her coworker repeatedly asked her to help with things, and it was puzzling--if she's comfortable enough with the team, why does she need to be told to do her job? To be fair, most of the crew seemed more interested in laughing and playing around than actually working. I've worked in food service and fast food, and back then, we worked. This was just another disappointing example of a growing trend--workers who don't seem to care about the job, the customers, or the standards of the business. On top of that, there was a very strong odor of marijuana coming from the employees. The fries were soggy and tasted like they came from oil that hadn't been changed in way too long. I go around to drive through sitting for over 30 min get to the speaker. Cashier says we are only taking online or door dash only. So i give her the name of the customer that door dashed food soon as i give her the name immediately " we dont have that order" without checking. I spent all that time in drive through only for her to tell me you dont have it. This is an ongoing problem at this location euclid and buckeye location as well. So this Popeyes is hiring, and for good reason. I think there were only 3 people working. This is a very busy restaurant. Oftentimes, the line is down the street. I went to this location for the first time and as I sat in the parking lot all I can see is employees taking selfies, swinging a mop around and having a good ole time like there was a party going on. After my order was placed I went to get my drink and there were no lids; I asked an employee for a lid and it took her 2mins to locate a lid, and when she did return with a lid it was the wrong size and took another few minutes to locate the right one. This review is for the Popeyes on 1878 Warrensville Center Road in South Euclid. I couldn't locate a separate Yelp page for this location. Go elsewhere, anywhere else. We went there about a month or so ago and it was perfect. The fries were hot and yummy and the sandwich was to die for. Today we went and what a nightmare. I said to my friend what are a bunch of kids working here and we found out that's exactly what is going on. The first time through the line my sandwich was at best lukewarm and the fries they were quite literally just tossed into the bag and when did a small fry become five, yes five fries. So I went and knocked on the door and at first no one would help me and then finally they did. They played games and wouldn't even open the door a crack so you could actually hear them or they could hear you. They supposedly made the food over, but the fries were now even colder and the sandwich just wasn't like it had been when we first experienced it. I went back to the door and all I got was mocked by the employees and also by some customer in line. Some kid told me (and again he wouldn't open the door so I could barely make out what he was saying) that the manager was busy counting drawers and when she finally did come to the door she was even less helpful and walked away and never came back. I also will never go back. Oh and during all of this I experienced one customer after the next who had a complaint about their order. They haven't even been open that long and this is how they're going to treat customers? When they brought the second order out the girl was so rude and it was really uncalled for. We decided to go here instead of KFC. Bad mistake! We ordered a 3 piece tender dinner and a spicy chicken sandwich. We live approximately 5 minutes from Popeyes so my food should not have been cold when we got it home. The tenders were cold , old and greasy. My biscuit was cold also. Tried to eat a couple of bites of it.. it was just bad! I tried calling and let the phone ring for literally 30 minutes and no one ever picked up. Wasted $7.99! Thankfully my husbands spicy chicken sandwich was ok. We ended up sharing it. Of course I have a problem with old, cold chicken, but it would have been okay had they answered the phone so i could let them know so that they could make sure the next time we came, we could get a replacement meal.
