I didn't try the fish as the whole place smelled fishy and was super busy. The cole slaw tasted like grocery store slop- bland, kinda sour, gross. The macaroni was bland but had good creamy texture and nice scalded top crust. The giant $5 slice of multilayered chocolate cake was gorgeous but likely the worst cake I have ever had. I almost gagged and that it something I've never done eating sweets before. The whipped cream was even stale- how do you let whipped cream get hard and get a nasty milky flavor to it???! The cake itself between the chocolate mousse layers was dry and hard and inedible. I tried every layer and then had to throw 75% of the disgusting dessert out. It was so incredibly foul. read more

The fish was too salty, the fries were not fresh and were flavorless, hush puppy was dry and the coleslaw was nothing special. I wouldn't go back. Not to mention one of the cashiers was complaining, being loud about how someone told her not to check her phone in front of customers. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love fish. It doesn't smell fishy so you can tell it's fresh and they fry it firm which I love. The parking is tight maybe 10 spots out front but if nothing just park on the side street. They also have security out front to help with traffic. Sharks is straight take out so your best bet is to call in your order and pick up. This saves you so much time because everything is made fresh . Sharks has become my go to spot when I want fried fish. I LOVE the perch and have ordered it many times. I also like their catfish, but I'd definitely recommend that you request it be fried hard for a crispier finish. While I don't personally like tilapia, my Mom had some dental surgery and it was soft enough for her to eat and she enjoyed it. I actually had to go back the next day and buy her another dinner because she enjoyed it so much. They are also reasonably priced and the service is pretty fast. On a busy day parking can suck but there's always a security guard on duty and a lot of times he'll direct the traffic. read more

Normally the dinners are plentiful, but I ordered a perch dinner and the pieces of fish were just a small sliver of fish and a ton of hard crunchy breading. I'm pretty sure the cooks had to realize how tiny the fish was when they breaded it. I called the restaurant and told them about it and they said I should bring the food back. Now, we all know that we're starving when we get our food in the first place, so it's ridiculous to tell us to return it. I work right around the corner and I love seafood. I tried this place four years ago. I think I got the perch but I what I ended up with was a piece of fish and one piece of something that ended up being fried cornmeal. That was then, so I decided to try them again today. I phoned my order in and I order the red snapper with no fries and extra coleslaw for 9.99. What I got was way too many horrible soggy fries, no coleslaw and the smallest snapper I have ever seen in my life, which makes me believe that it wasn't really snapper. The service is great - super friendly folks. There's a T.V. so you can sit and watch the game while you wait (carry-out, only folks). I always get the fried jumbo shrimp with a different side ... I'll be honest, the fries are almost always soaky due to the fried seafood inside. Sides include green beans, mac and cheese, etc. The fried fish is good too but I highly recommend the jumbo shrimp! We kept driving down Lee Rd and seeing this place called Sharks with a parking lot that was perennially packed. We had no idea what was inside, but figuring that everyone else was in on this place we decided we should be too. Boy are we glad we did (though our hearts might not be).
