I'm going to say this, the guy up front. His name is Rico and there is a young lady who works in the back. She has dreads, they are the 2 most awesome people in that whole store. They bust their behinds to help everybody. And the orders are coming left and right to be honest, I didn't know that many people ate Popeyes in Rincon. If I love one place I do love Popeyes I will agree I love the food, but the service here is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! This is probably my fifth time coming to this Popeyes and not even being able to order food because of how incredibly long it takes... I thought this was fast food. It's unethical for there to be a line around the entire building while the employees are sitting inside on their phones...I left the line drove to KFC waited in their line and in their parking lot for my food and drove back past Popeyes and the same people were wrapped around the building still waiting in line... I will from now on be going to KFC if I want some chicken..Thank you KFC. Popeyes doesn't even deserve to be to be placed there anymore it should be changed to a different place. What's the problem? Service is bad. Often have to wait 20+ minutes for food to be cooked. Not very clean. Need new management.

5 cars in line, my car is #3, 1 passed the window, 1 at the window, then myself. 15 minutes waiting. A car 2 back exits the line and leaves. 20 minutes waiting and the car at the window gets their order and leaves. I pull up to the window and see the young ladies inside dancing. No one opens the window to take my payment for 5 minutes. She quotes the wrong order, I correct her. She finds my order and reads it back to me and takes payment. 25 minutes waiting and the lady parked in front still waiting for her order finally gets out of her car to go inside to get her order. 3 minutes later she comes back to her car with her order cussing. 3 minutes later my order arrives. The young lady quotes my order including the dipping sauce. I get home and find the order is wrong and missing dipping sauce. This is typical of this site. Slow, inaccurate and unapologetic. By far the worst store in town without any sense of urgency. Take a pass here since it would be quicker to cook your own at home. read more

This location is not always the fastest (usually order thru the drive thru) but the chicken sandwich is consistently DELICIOUS!

When the spicy chicken sandwich first came out it was to die for. Now every time I go back the quality is decreased and the price is increased! The piece of chicken was half the usual thickness and didn't even cover the bun. I sure wish management would improve the quality. I'm afraid to go back and be disappointed again. My favorite fried chicken chain is a disaster in Rincon. I went up to the counter and ordered food to take home for 4 people. It took over 45 mins. The people before me ordered, got a ton of food, ate it all, cleaned up and left, and I still waited for a half hour more. At least 4 drivers for gig food delivery companies came in, and waited forever too. They kept asking each other how they could cancel their orders. This one lady came in after going through the drive thru, to get something corrected, and I swear she almost got jumped by the girl working the counter and the guy working the window with the headset on. "I didn't tell you that! I know what I said!" he told her. "I know what you said too!" And the lady at the counter just kept getting in the customer's face. Then, after she left, and the employees are having a loud post-game wrap up, or whatever, the annoyed cashier lady sees me still standing there, and yells to me, "what are YOU still waiting for?!" "My whole $75 order." Oh s--- she says, and started working on it finally. It took another 15 mins. I had also ordered some crispy party wings without sauce, and they wanted to give me some that were sauced with some weird flavor and they had been sitting in the window for over 45 mins. They had a large argument with each other over the fact that there were ..."wings in the window- just give him those." "He said he don't WANT the sauce!" " Why NOT?! Well then, he's gonna wait 15 minutes for more of he's got to have em! ... As if I hadn't already waited THIRTY mins! I should have left, but I kept hoping I was about to get our food. My family kept texting me how hungry they were. If I walked out, we would have had to decide on a new place to eat, decide what we wanted, order, and wait again. Meanwhile, the food window was loaded up with chicken that looked and smelled fantastic. I just couldn't get any of it. When I tried to get them to remove the wings from my order or change it so I could finally get out of there, the girl, who was doing nothing else, told me, "well, THAT'S gonna take a long time for us to do that!" We ordered 2 , 2 piece dark meals and it's my fault for it checking the food. Once I got home about 30 mins away the Order was wrong and the side a fries literally had 7 fries in them lol. Man I love Popeyes chicken and I was really glad when we got one here in Rincon. Started strong, sorta, and now they have become a Church's chicken as far as customer service goes. Went last night really wanting chicken. It was 5pm and they were out of cooked dark meat. That's fine. That happens. The guy said "we aren't going to prepare anymore either." I passed on this place So today I stopped by. The wait for service has always been long. I decided to time it today for shiggles. Waited 4 minutes and 45 seconds before I was acknowledged on the drive through. Figured they were busy but still seemed long. I pull around and there was no one in front of me. I restarted my timer and it took 2 minutes and 38 seconds before anyone acknowledged me and took my money. The lady didn't say hi or smile or anything. She gives me my change and before she makes sure it is in my hand she turns away and walks off causing all but .25 of my .97 in coins to fall on the ground. She goes to hand me a drink and I asked if that was a large. She said I only see a medium ordered. I said I asked for it and whomever took my order verified I wanted a large. Didn't seem to care a bit. This place is going down hill. I'm don't. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the food is so damn good. I'm not going back to this location. I believe that when you spend your money on a meal , it should be to your liking or at the very least include everything you ordered. Service is always terrible every time I go there. Never have food that is asked for. When I go there I do not ask for much, I ask for a 2 piece dark combo. They almost never have dark meat and if they do it's mixed, and they usually DONT MIX IT. Terrible customer service. The drive-through was so long I went in. The lobby stood in line for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment. Then when I asked the manager if someone could take my order, he told me to give him a minute and another 10 minutes past meanwhile online orders are steadily coming through. Employees having conversation, but there is no service for customers. Management nonchalant attitude did not help. After 22 minutes at the counter, without being able to order, decided to leave. read more

Waited in line for 20 minutes to be told that they were out of chicken sandwiches. I called the manager and told her that they needed to put up a sign when they were out of something. She told me "Even if we put up a sign people still axe for them, some people don't read." I will never "axe" for anything in this place again because I'll never go back. Went here to get a blackened chicken sandwich. The ladie taking our order couldn't even listen to us order. She kept interrupting and not even repeating back to us the right order. They were out of pickles. She ended up putting a spicy chicken in for my order and that's not what I asked for. Got to the window and clarified that I wanted a blackened chicken sandwich not a spicy. I heard the guy at the window say make a blackened. Got my order and it was a regular chicken sandwich. Went inside to speak with someone and she says. Oh we're out of blackened chicken. Every time I have been to this Popeyes drive thru location the food was always fresh, hot and delicious! Today I decided to dine in, and the customer service and friendly staff were awesome! They all are eager to help, have smiling faces and are constantly walking around cleaning an already pristine dining room/parking lot. Would give them zero starts if I could. VERY RUDE employees and manager and super slow service. Everytime I go to this Popeyes, I swear I'll never go back but stupidly on my part, keep giving them another chance....not anymore for sure. They didn't get my mobile order right and when I brought it to their attention, they acted like I was trying to get something free...even showed them my phone where I had the order pulled up and man said he couldn't give me the sandwich I had a coupon for because "I'll get fired". When I said I'd never come back, the man at the window said "good....bye". REALLY!!! I've been in the customer service business for 20 years and would NEVER talk to a customer that way....not even a rude one!!! They need to shut this one down and start all over with new managers & employees. This Popeyes has seen the last penny from me!! Popeyes has a great chicken sandwich when they are hot. I've had several where they clearly cooked them all before I ordered at 1225 or later that I threw away rather than eat them. The chicken sandwich is not very good after they sit for a while.. You can notice how the long wait at 1150 translates into almost no wait by 1230. The rincon store also has begun to glop on the mayo, which is really unappealing on a cold chicken sandwich. Sticking the sandwich under heat lamps does not help keep the sandwich tasty. At some point, they need to make them fresh on several periods. read more

Worst service ever tonight. We placed an online order and proceeded to the restaurant about 5 miles away. Cant go in and the drive thru was very busy so pulled into the curbside service area. Called to let them know we were there and got put on "hold" which consisted of the guy laying the phone down so we could hear all the chatter going on in the restaurant. Long story short, it was almost 60 minutes, from the time we placed the order to the time we got our food, which also included 3 phone calls from the parking lot and twice the wrong order was brought out to us. Get these people trained on good customer service. One of my favorite fast food places, but it will be a cold day in heck before I go back there and spend my money! I get being busy and/or short staffed, but get it together. Either close down the online orders or the drive thru, but that is ridiculous. read more

employees were very nice and even complimented my puppy that i had with me. my girlfriend was pleased with her food but unfortunately i wasn't with mine. i was craving spicy chicken legs and i got the smallest pieces they had. i had to come home and put my cajun fries in my air fryer bc they were soggy and cold. i will give this place another try one day but definitely will try to stay away. i do not recommend getting the 2pc legs combo if you are hungry LOL read more

NOPE. Visited on Sunday afternoon, looking for a snack to get me from lunch to dinner, so I ordered 3 chicken tenders and a small drink. Came to $8.56 - huh? Seriously, 3 pieces of chicken, no sides, and a drink. When I exclaimed my surprise and repeated my order, it seems like I was charged for a medium drink, and changing it to a small "fixed it" in the eyes of the cashier, bringing the price down to $8.22. Obviously, still way too much. And for that, I got 3 pieces of "meh" chicken (I ordered spicy). Not particularly flavorful, and distinctly cold, must have sat too long. McDonalds is just down the street, where a snack is "hamburger/small fries/small coke" and it costs $3.21. I won't be back, I'm sorry to say, not a good value, nor particularly well prepared. I will not go to this restaurant until they get a new manager. Hs is rude and threaten to call the police when my husband called to complain about a wrong order because 2 employees were playing around and not listening when I placed the order. He also spoke rudely. The time before, I ordered online and had to wait for curbside pickup for over 30 minutes because the phone was busy. I went to all doors and they were locked. I saw the manager on the phone laughing. I knocked on the window to tell him I needed my order. I then called again and he answered the phone so that I could here his conversation but never responded to me. I continued to call and finally got someone to answer. We were there a couple of months ago and couldn't believe how bad the food was. The entire order was cold and the pieces of chicken and fish were tiny. Last night we decided to try again. We ordered the fish combo and the chicken tender combo. Again the pieces were tiny. I took the coating off one tender and a piece of fish. The thickness of both items were the thickness of a piece of thin bacon. There is absolutely know value at Popeyes. The prices are outrageous. I visited the new Rincon store today for lunch. Nice store, nice employees. I had a 4pc Combo (2 legs, 2 wings) with biscuit, Cajun rice, and drink. It was $10.15 after tax. And I will say the food tasted good. The problem? These were the smallest pieces of chicken I've ever seen served in a restaurant. They honestly looked like they were parts off of a pigeon. And I didn't just get a few bad pieces from a batch. I watched the lady make the box and every piece in the bin was really small pieces. I was so glad to see this new restaurant in Rincon. But, I'm so disappointed. Popeye's should be ashamed of themselves. It's not like I had a bad service experience, but, might go back again hoping for improvement. The owners have made a choice to serve (at a premium price) low grade chicken. That's what you will get. I will not go back and pay for this again. read more
