I like their food but my issue with this specific location is their lack of paying attention. Check your bags folks if you are doing the drive thru because they will throw in whatever. Four months ago, I got the #1 combo with mac n cheese as my side. I didn't check the bag and when I got to work, I got a 3 piece meal and mashed potatoes. About a month ago, I got the #1 combo again, asked for mac n cheese. I checked the bag this time and again, mashed potatoes. Today, same thing but I was too hungry and in a hurry to check my bag and sure enough, they seem to hate giving people their mac n cheese. Bummer. read more

Arrived at 5:00 pm. And waited until 6:00 pm for food to finally be served. This was a takeout order as I walked inside to order to eight piece dark meat only chicken only a five piece, chicken, tender, tender, only meaning no sides, and two breast pieces of chicken, no sides and spicy they only had four employees and the one that was working in the front counter was also drive-through and drive-through is her main priority. There were five of us waiting for our food in the front counter. Two customers before me waiting one hour and ten minutes. The two girls were in the front. were so confused had no idea what they're doing. And the general manager Jose really had no care in the world for people being upset and disappointed waiting for your food for one hour is not fast food at all. What a disappointment Popeyes chicken is usually good. I would never recommend this location Until they get better and fix their issues. Went today. No buns, no rice and beans, no Dr pepper, no napkins. Felt bad for the employees.

We don't eat out frequently but did decide to treat ourselves to a Popeyes dinner. We did take home. I was disappointed that they were completely out of their hot sauce. That's just part of the Louisiana cuisine. Anyway I ordered a 12 piece chicken only. 5 of the pieces were tiny drumsticks. The chicken wasn't that great. My wife suspects the grease was well past its prime. My 2 star rating easily could have been lower. Oh, the deep pot hole at the entrance to the drive through remains. Went to Popeyes during my break and used their app to make an order online I got 5 piece for $6.99 and Mac n cheese. They had a nice line in the drive thru so I was glad I ordered ahead, however when I got to the drive thru and told them I was there to get my order I asked for dark meat and they told me they couldn't do it, then they told me they were out of Mac and cheese, this always seems to happen at this location, I was disappointed cause I put the order in early and yet, they still ran out of Mac and Cheese, they could've at least gave me the dark pieces of chicken to make up for that but they acted as if they cannot substitute pieces. It's a shame this is the only Popeyes in Topeka. read more

I waited half an hour in the drive thru with only three cars ahead of me. On line posting said drinks were included with meal, but store did not honor it. Got food and the only good thing was the chicken. The biscuits tasted old or something. Inedible. The mashed potatoes, fries and cole slaw were also horrible. So I paid $15.00 for 4 pieces of delicious chicken. I will not be going back. There was no friendly greeting and the person who took my order acted as if they would rather be somewhere else. Here's an idea...for corporate. Make your menu available without having to give my information. Maybe I just want to see what I can expect to spend. If you have a superior product, it'll stand on its own. I don't want your mailers, I don't eat your emails filling up my inbox with a bunch of spam or coupons. Went in yesterday. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with no mayo and a regular spicy chicken. After 10 minutes I go ask about my order. They had forgotten. They gave me 2 free pies. Thank you it happens. Sit down and no mayo is right but the other is a classic not a spicy. Well they're busy and mistakes happen. Go back up to the counter and explain what happened. Oops sorry keep the sandwich and here is the right one. Thank you. I return to my table and sit down looking forward to finally trying the spicy chicken sandwich. I open it up and IT'S A CLASSIC. Yes I should have checked before I left the counter but good lord I should be allowed to trust the person handling my food. Finally stopped here. Concerned all the hype might set bar too high. Ordered shrimp po boy with red beans and rice and also added jambalaya. First off, if you're looking for a po boy this is not one. It's a popcorn shrimp sandwich. That being said it was a wonderful popcorn shrimp sandwich. The red beans and rice were very good and left me wanting more. However the jambalaya left much to be desired. Spiced well but rice was overcooked and gummy. Next time I think I'll order coleslaw as the side and put it on the sandwich and order a large side of red beans and rice. read more

So disappointed! I ordered and paid for a deep fried turkey from this Topeka location. On Saturday, 11/17/18, a lady named Melissa told me they had fried turkeys in stock. The entire KC Metro area was out, so we checked with the Topeka location. Told them we'd make a special trip out there to pick it up on Monday.
