The chicken is really good! Very fast, very hot & fresh & very crispy! Reheats nicely at home too! I got sauces on side to try several, the ones I didn't love were the creamy spicy & the tiger sauce. The basics were all good - Sweet chili, gochujang & bulgogi. French fries were fresh & real potatoes so....good! Korean dogs are good, just small so more of a little snack. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was quiet and not too hectic. The food was shockingly better than expected. I give this a 3 star because I was expecting Korean fried chicken, instead it was giving Raising Cane's chicken tenders with Korean sauces (I tried the soy and gochujang). Not a favorite. I first visited in November when they were newly opened, and I immediately became obsessed with this place! I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I settled on the guilty pleasure. The guilty please has a base of golden fries, and is topped with chopped up fried chicken tenders, thinly sliced onions, special sauce and sweet chili. I can honestly say I have never had anything like it before! The combination of all the flavors will leave you wanting more after each bite! This place has become a mandatory stop during my visits to Topeka in the last few months. I can totally see them opening up a second location near the downtown area. I have tasked myself with continually exploring the menu, and I have not been disappointed once! Service is always fast and I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for food. Great chicken that comes with a wide array of dipping sauces that are so much more unique than the standard drive through fair. Everything is made to order and is burn the roof of your mouth hot! So nice to have a local spot that cares about the quality of food they serve. Dining room is bright and clean if not a little austere. The west side of Topeka is dominated by chain restaurants with nearly a dozen fast food burger joints along the Wanamaker corridor alone. So when I heard about this little LOCAL Asian fusion wing place that opened among the wing giants like Jefferson's and BWW that are like wing restaurant bookends on Wanamaker, I had to check it out. I went with a friend of mine a few weeks ago. I'd heard it was pretty good, but I wanted to decide for myself. I ordered the wing combo, which came with 6 wings, 2 dipping sauces, and a side of fries. My food arrived hot and fresh, and I have to say the breading was phenomenal. Crispy and well seasoned, and not too greasy or salty. I am not sure if the sauces are made in-house or not, but they were great as well. I got the buttered pepper and tiger sauces. If you like chicken fingers this spot makes em' good. I was surprised by the large size of these "fingers". They offer a few different sauces, even super hot but I settled for the Bulgogi, a home run. The fried potatoes were "ok" but nothing special. Crispy & Co is a simple concept executed extremely well. Fried chicken and potatoes make up the bulk of their menu. I tried the 3 tender meal with barbecue dry rub and tater tots. The tots were crispy and the chicken was generously portioned and flavored well. I took my order to go, but the restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful. They explained some Asian fusion flavors to the customers ahead of me and even offered a sample of the bulgogi. Also tried a new sauce which was the Bulgogi, very good as well as my go to favorite the Tiger sauce. I prefer the tenders served with sauce on side so they don't get soggy and they accommodate this. I downloaded Yelp just to review this place. Delicious food! I ordered through Doordash so unfortunately we couldn't experience the service and have no comment on the ambiance. BUT the food was marvelous! we got the "Guilty Pleasure" and Korean Chicken in small (8pc) doused in Gochujang sauce, with a side of sweet potato fries. The Guilty pleasure is definitely named correctly because after one bite I wanted to eat the WHOLE thing to myself. The GP was sauced up but not soggy! delicious bits of chicken tenders, sliced onions, fries laid at the bottom. Everything tasted fresh and warm, flavored perfectly, and not one dry spot. We moved on to try the sweet potato fries and WOW, probably the best sweet fries i've ever tried and usually needs a sauce, but these surely did not! These fries were waffle shaped and seasoned perfectly with salt, not stale but gave a slight crunch! and they gave us a large amount, when we looked at the food the box of fries were overflowing!!!. Last, we tried the Chicken with Gochujang sauce, not too hot and not too sweet just perfect. Chicken was packed with juicy goodness and great quality chicken, nothing like these fast food restaurants. Everything tasted fresh and great quality! Another side note, for my order to be coming from Doordash i was expecting at least an hour long wait but for my food to come under that.. ! The GOOD. Generous portions of food. Bulgogi that I would buy in bottles if available. The BAD. The chicken would probably be OK, but I think ours was under the heat lamp for an hour or so. Made the crust rock hard and the chicken dry as lint. Those generous potions were compressed into a carry out box that was way too small. Food was stuck together and came out of box like a solid block. Gave up trying to separate my tater tot block and tossed 'em out. Almost forgot, tossed out the limp sweet potato fries too. The UGLY. The sign showed 3 tenders with a side for $9.99. Was charged an extra $1 for each side. Pointed that out to the cashier and he said he the best he could was remove the sides. Just change the $&^( sign or have the cashiers point that out when ordering. Lame way to make an extra buck. The FACT. Won't go back. Two stars may be generous. Large portions don't mean anything when the food is best avoided. read more
