Coffees and other beverages out 24/7 not to mention the delicious tarts left for us on check-in. No shoes Inn, which is the same as our home so we didn't mind, but just so you are aware. I would recommend they put some stickers on a few of the windows. When we pulled in an injured dove was in the parking lot, a bloody beak so we assume she ran into a window. While having our coffee the next morning in room 3, two birds hit the front window very loudly. Heartbreaking but easy enough to fix.

The sleeping room was comfortable and well appointed. The gardens were accessible and we were encouraged to explore, the gardens/plantings, the 100+ year old buildings, and the new/renovated dayroom/greenhouse that the owners use for an office and to entertain guests. It's located just a few minutes from the town, and not too far from a pub, gas station, and small mart. The breakfast was good, though small-but we're hearty eaters. The lady of the house runs the business and the man works outside, as a master cabinet maker. They both tend the gardens.

The Begbie Room is not to be confused with the 112 Restaurant also housed in the hotel. Everything was top quality. The buffet entrees included prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, salmon, chicken, and mushroom risotto. There was a nice, delectable spread of various starters as well as various dessert samplers. Overall, a very enjoyable, comfortable, and delicious buffet style dinner here. Kate, the lady manager here greeted us at the door, helped to attentively serve the group, generally stayed on top of things, and bid us farewell as we left. Kudos and thank you to her, the chef, and the staff for a memorable evening in Revelstoke!

We all slept so well. They even have a hot buffet breakfast which my kids loved. The staff is really friendly. I asked for a travel sized tooth paste as I had run out. Unfortunately they didn't have slippers but that's okay. In the evening there was live music and a mobile candy shop. I would stay here again in future visits.

Hollandaise may have been authentic, or in the least from a good quality package brand. However, we all found the pan fries to be too small, too fried and too greasy. Our two sons enjoyed double eggs and french toast $8.50 per person, and hubby had Huevos $11.50 which he really enjoyed. You order at the counter and help yourself to teas etc then Nancy delivers your meal to your table. Quick, efficient and cheerful process thanks again to Nancy's great attitude. The cabin had ample room for all of us with a queen sized bed in the bedroom with delightfully European duvets and comfortabel but firm matress. The boys slept on the fold down futon in the living room. Kitchenette was well stocked with all the amenities except for bar sized fridge was a little disappointing. Bathroom had a shower with hot hot water! And everything was clean and well kept and wonderfully manicured and landscaped. A fairytale camping spot with all the luxuries of a hotel. The huge firepit was a hit with the boys and there was even a barbeque for grilling outside. The dogs were more than thrilled to wander the woods and meadows without a care. Hubert and Sonja the owners were a pleasure and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Our only regret was that we didn't take the oportunity to book a dinner at the main lodge to try the food. Just outside of Golden a five minute drive so access to amenities is easy. We will definitely return here next summer.

Room doesn't come with kettles and the office which has hot water only opens at 8, no microwave in room. The office is only open in random hours depending on their personal schedule so you don't have any common area to hang out in. No housekeeping unless requested and they give me a whole rant about how it's a big deal. Every request I've made, regarding basic needs like access to hot water earlier, office hours, etc. have been treated like a grandiose demand. They will push back on your requests as much as possible to do less work. They're not here to make your stay comfortable, you're here to not be a bother. This place is on one of the lower rates in town, but definitely not cheap. Yet they treat you like a guest who is staying at their place for free. The staff takes everything personally, they're unable to take feedback as a business professionally. Granted, they seem understaffed but perhaps they should consider reducing their capacity accordingly.

The owners, Lisa and Frank, were very kind and personable. We had the MacPherson room, and it was very cozy. With the weather quite hot, it was nice to arrive to an air conditioned room. The bed was comfy, and everything was immaculate. We appreciated their attention to detail, leaving chocolate mints by the bed and keeping the room stocked with DVDs. They also offer a laptop hooked up with internet, as well as wi-fi access, which is great if you're traveling far from home. The breakfast was wonderful! We had a seasonal fruit salad, along with fresh belgian waffles with berries and whipped cream. We will definitely be back to Revelstoke, so we'll be seeing Lisa and Frank again one day!
