Poppy & Peep offers delicious, beautifully crafted artisan chocolates that are as stunning as they are tasty. I snagged a Christmas gift box at 50% off after the holidays, which felt like an amazing deal! The store is small but clean, bright, and colorful, with friendly service that made the experience even better. We were even offered a free sample-- YUM. Definitely worth a visit for chocolate lovers or anyone looking for a unique treat!

This is just the cutest sweets shop! The whole neighborhood is really tucked away so you have to do a little hunting to find it but I am so glad I did. The chocolates are not only gorgeous but also delicious. I got an assortment of 6 different bon-bons to try. I couldn't even pick a favorite if I tried - they were all perfect. They stayed fresh so I could make them last a few days too - although that was pretty tough to resist eating them all at once. I love that they have seasonal flavors to have reason to go back time and time again. And bonus - you can take your box back each time to be eco-friendly and get a discount on your next bon-bon assortment!

This cute chocolate ship is so good. The moment you step in the smell is amazing. And if you are anything like me you may need help with figuring out what you want. The staff was very friendly and even gave small samples to help me figure out what I wanted. The chocolate was the perfect combination of sweet and rich. Definitely a must try for any chocolate lover!

I could blabber a ton about this place but suffice it to say, this is a business that's the epitome of five stars. The space is small and perhaps overly sunny in that some of the chocolates have to be moved to avoid their getting bleached by sunlight. That detail tickles me and adds to the charm of Poppy & Peep. When we arrived, another couple arrived so that the five of us, plus the friendly and knowledgeable man at the counter, were kinda squeezed in. No matter to us. As we perused the choices, which are a lot, given the real estate, we let the other couple pick their stuff first. While they were looking, we were all offered a sample. A whole bonbon/truffle. Now, don't expect this of the business (I won't), but I confess that I was floored by the gesture. This just meant that we'd better "do the right thing" and buy chocolates and other handmade confections. We did and got a box of truffles, in addition to some life-changing caramels. I don't think I've had better caramels, though I'll admit now that I don't usually go for caramels when in a candy/chocolate shop. The available caramel flavors included raspberry, passion fruit, vanilla, chocolate, sea salt, and cinnamon chocolate. We got everything but cinnamon, since AT detests the spice. (What is wrong with him?) We tried some shortly after leaving and were amazed by how soft and delicious they were. We saw beautiful chocolate bars, ranging from the classic to exotic, such as cookies 'n cream, everything (bagel) dark chocolate, salted toffee, bergamot and clove, and Nashville hot chicken. There were meringues, chocolate-covered dried fruits and coffee beans, and pâte de fruits--which is French for fruit paste. I had to avoid the temptation, what with me having some personal financial resolutions and whatnot. But next time, I'll budget to get more treats!

These are some of the highest quality chocolates I've ever had! They are also so visually stunning it's hard to bite into them because I just want to save them forever. My friend and I split a pack of 6 bon bons in various flavors and were really happy with all of our selections. I also got a bar of their lavender chocolate and it was amazing. The chocolate itself melted in my mouth and the lavender flavor was perfect. This is a very small little shop with semi-limited hours but it's definitely worth the trip.

I have known "Peep" (one of the owners) since high school, and I know how much work she and her father "Poppy" put into this place. She has always been an entrepreneur, and has always worked dang hard at whatever she does, so you can rest assure that whatever you put in your mouth from this place will be 10x better than you could've imagined. They have worked hard to learn from some of the best of the best in the chocolate world, and have worked their tails off to open this place and make it just so so cute, the presentation is incredible. Just look at the adorable box the chocolates come in! (See pictures) Today was my first trip there and I was so excited to try these chocolates and tell the world about them. I knew this place and the chocolates would be good, but I didn't know HOW good. I took another friend and we left just so excited! CHOCOLATES & THINGS I TRIED: - We tried the sipping chocolate which is like a mixture between hot cocoa & melted chocolate, and wow it was good (get it especially on a cold day) - I got more than this (and I'm saving them) but I tried the Birthday Cake, Espresso, and S'more! Birthday Cake is my absolute favorite!! And I love the others too. The S'More even has a graham cracker in it! So cute! If you are a fan of aesthetic (which I normally don't care much if it is or not) this is your place. Everything is just so incredibly placed. The packaging is amazing, and just so much more. OH. AND. They cater for parties, showers and things. So book them for your next party and blow every one out of the water! I could go on and on so I'll stop and say - JUST GO. RIGHT NOW!

Was lucky enough to find this business while eating in Nashville. I saw the box of 6 bon bons at a pop up location and as a chocolate lover there was no need to convince me this was something I needed to try. You will NOT be disappointed. The appearance alone is gorgeous but wait until you taste them! Absolutely recommend this place to fulfill your chocolate needs!

A box of six gorgeous bonbons is $20 and couldn't resist the white chocolate with honeycomb bar.

Between the packaging and amazing display of chocolates- these are probably the BEST tasting chocolates out there.

What a cute shop! We went on a Saturday so we could do their chocolate tour. The guy who held the…read moretour (so sorry I forgot his name!) was very knowledgeable and knew his stuff! He obviously has been in the business a while. He made the tour easy to understand and walked us through the entire process. It's really awesome they make everything from scratch and using so few ingredients. You can really taste the quality of their chocolate. Sadly, they didn't have the grinding machines with the chocolate in them because they were out of the beans! They were having shipping issues with their stock. But we were able to taste a bit of everything they sold which was really cool. We picked up their dark and milk chocolate bar at the end of the tour. Highly recommend for a bit of fun!

I've been on a bit of a chocolate binge lately and decided to stop by Olive and Sinclair Chocolate…read morewhile we were in town. Per some sources, they are the first bean to bar chocolate maker in Tennessee, and they even offer weekly factory tours, although I wasn't able to make it in time for one. Olive and Sinclair has a relatively small retail area. They have all of their products on display and more importantly, have tons of samples! I ended up trying basically everything. The chocolatier doesn't advertise where they source their cocoa from but I asked an employee and she said they switch it up all the time. Apparently the current batch is from Peru, which gives the chocolate a pretty neutral taste at the start but then transitions to a kind of sharper dried fruit taste. They also sell several types of caramels. The Ghost Pepper Caramel starts with the caramel sweetness. It's only a second or two later that some heats starts to show up. I'm not sure how much ghost pepper they actually use; the heat is a bit more than just a warmth, but isn't nearly to the point of being painful. The heat lingers for quite a while, enough that I had to wait a good five minutes before trying another caramel! Interestingly I think this one has the "cleanest" caramel taste, at least at the start before the pepper kicks in! The Duck Fat Caramel has similar sweet undertones but adds on a really savory and almost meaty element on top. The Sea Salt & Vinegar Caramel has a light vinegar scent. It starts with sweetness and a light tang, but then the vinegar gets stronger. It never gets to the point of tasting like a vinaigrette, but is quite noticeable. To be honest, I'm not a fan of any of the caramels. They are certainly unique and nice to try though! I ended up picking some of their more intriguing products - the Bourbon Nib Brittle and the Smoked Nib Brittle - for gifts. From what I tried in store, they're both exactly as the names imply: super bourbon forward sweet candy, and a surprisingly intense smoky sweet. Yum! Olive and Sinclair Chocolate is definitely a place to pick up some unique local gifts! I wish I had made it in time for one of their tours.
