I just can't say enough good things about this local business located here in Sarasota off of Beneva and Gulf Gate Dr. From my first time coming in the establishment is open, clean; and up front. The first time ordering I ordered a Grilled Scottish Salmon filet, with Citrus Glaze Israeli Couscous and Chef's Vegetables. When I say the Couscous was some of the best I've had ina while I really mean it. Of course, I really had to come back the next week to get some delicious Grilled Shrimp and Scallop Skewers over Basmati Rice, which also came with vegetables. Excellent. Other dishes I would end up getting throughout the weeks included Vegetarian Meatloaf, Grilled Corvina, Vegetarian Lasagna, and many more to come. I always look forward to the next weeks menu! They also offer amazing catering services as well! Overall, I give this place 5 stars. Definitely, definitely worth stopping in and taking advantage of their convienant grab and go food service. Zildjan Catering reasonably priced, excellent service, delicious dishes and an amazing sandwiches. I've used her two years in a row for catering the Sarasota Polo Club event. Everyone had something good to say about the chicken and turkey sandwiches. I ordered a few vegetarian, hummus wraps, and people were raving about how delicious they tasted. The salad that she makes is fresh and dressing is one of the best balsamic dressings I've ever had. The chocolate chips melt in your mouth and leaves you wanting more. Ate here for the first time tonight. I had the Mediterranean Chicken and my wife had the Meatloaf. Both dishes were great . Portions were a tad small for the price of takeout but the flavors made up for it. We had the the apricot bars which also were good. Will definitely try them again. read more

I work close by and have been trying different places at lunch time. This didn't look very promising when I walked in, the lobby was messy, the floor was dirty but the food in the cooler looked good and the cooler was clean. I decided to try the Cuban sandwich since it seems the easiest and quickest thing to get. Bad idea. Who puts salami in a Cuban sandwich? I truly regret having tried this place out. The messy lobby should have been my hint. The sandwich was a huge disappointment. Over priced for what I got. Not a Good Cuban sandwich. Not even a good whatever sandwich. I've used Zildjian Catering several times for fundraising events. Working with Alyson was a professional experience. She offered fresh ideas but was flexible enough to give us what we wanted all while staying in the budget. The food was prepared as expected and delicious. Her servers were engaging but not overbearing. I have also attending several cooking classes offered by Zildjian. What a fun time we had at those! We not only learned new prep techniques but also recipes that were affordable and easy to cook. We have used Zildjian Catering for many events over the past 8 years - Bat Mitzvah parties, Graduation parties and Birthday parties. The food is always fresh and delicious, everyone raves about it during and after the party. Alyson is flexible to work with, and very creative with her menus and presentation. She provides very personalized service to make sure every detail is considered. For example, in preparation for a wine pairing party, Alyson and I sampled cheeses and wines and chocolates together so that we could pick just the right pairing.
