They did a really amazing job hosting my daughter's birthday party yesterday! Birthday parties at…read moremost event spaces are insanely expensive, but this was fairly reasonable for 12 kids. The kids loved painting their own figurines and the staff made sure they were ready to take home the same day (it's nice that you don't have to return weeks later to pick up your item). They also let me bring in my own food/snacks and I was allowed to decorate the room, too. My daughter had a blast. We've been here before just for drop in painting and we will happily be back to support them!

The Medford Arts Center was a very nice discovery! I attended a function there this week and was…read moresurprised to find a nice array of art work for sale at moderate prices. The walls displayed a nice variety of art pieces, for example, paintings, photos and artistic collages. I attended a "men's Christmas gift" event, complete with a "pop-up bar" for tasting fine bourbons and beer - super fun. There were at least 5 handmade jewelry artists displaying and discussing their work. I was pleasantly surprised to find several pieces that will make fine gifts! Stopped back with my wife last night and found the staff were preparing for another event "art walk" which included wine tasting and cheese plate. The jewelry was displayed in glass cases and an awesome array of wall art, really world-class. The local artists can be contacted to see additional work if you like their style. So nice to know this is right in downtown Medford!

I found this cool and eclectic shop while roaming around downtown Mt Holly. I've always been…read moreinterested in glass art and I decided to see what they were all about. Along with glassblowing and other art classes there is some retail here as well. A small selection of vape items, a few cases with glass pipes, art, jewelry and beer glasses, all made by local artists. There is a bit of wall art, clothing and other things that don't quite fit into other categories. Lots to look at. I had a chance to speak with the glass artisan Devin who teaches the blowing classes. He is very passionate about his craft and I think would be a great teacher to learn from. He informed me that some people come with a specific product in mind that they'd like to learn how to make. While others just want to see what the experience is like and decide what to make as they learn more. Personally, I'd like to try to make a personalized beer goblet. But h can tailor the classes to whatever the student is looking to do. While there I had a chance to speak with one of the owners, Pat. He explained that pre Covid this was a spot where local artist people would come to hangout and talk, some of those people help run the shop and the art on display is their own. He's a super kind guy and I can see coming here just to shoot the breeze. I think a broader use of this shop is the glass classes. It could be a fun date day to come here first for a class then explore the town for food and libations, both of which have solid options here. Cool find

I can not rave enough about the Pre-school at Temple Emanuel…read more I sent my daughter, who was not yet 2 at the time, to camp here. The program was 2 hours long. I was incredibly nervous, as she has never gone to day care or any such program. The staff was amazing (thank you Deb and Jeanie), and they had a handful to deal with. I was a crying fool the first 2 days. My daughter LOVED it! So much so that I signed her up for 5 days of pre-school. Lynn and Jeanie are wonderful! They truly love their job and it shows every single day. My daughters teachers, Laura, Donna, and Mindy are fantastic! My daughter is the youngest in her class, but that has not stopped her from anything. In fact, school has helped her in so many ways from speech development to social skills. She loves going to school, her teachers, and her friends. I was even nervous about adding the 2 extra days, but I truly think it was one of smartest decisions!
