Immediately I knew this was a special place for my son. And our experience here with school and summer camp have far surpassed what we had hoped for. Their school motto of "grow confidently"- really illustrates the transformation my son went through from a 2.5 year old toddler to a 5 year old boy who is confident and loves to learn now. The teachers are outstanding- they really love kids and love teaching kids to embrace and enjoy learning. The administrative staff ( Ms. Kerri & Ms. Janine) are amazing and make you feel at ease and that we were part of their family . We will forever love and be a huge advocate for this school !!

There were multiple incidents of bullying and/or kids just misbehaving and the school not handling those situations properly. I had no false hope that every kid would act like an angel 100% of the time and believe I was realistic in hoping that if and when a child would not behave well, the teachers would know how to handle it- boy, was I wrong! My daughter was scratched, pushed, hit, had her leg stood on by a boy (to which the teacher just told the other kid not to do it bc my daughter didn't like it.... Because so many people would) The straw that broke the camels back was: my husband arrived to pick up my daughter and noticed a bump/bruise on her head. He asked the 3 teachers at the door what happened. They all said they didn't know. Our daughter told us that a boy (who had done other things to her in the past and sounded to be an overall behavioral issue), hit her in the head with a stick on the playground. I asked if a teacher saw. She said no. She said she told a teacher and that teacher put the kid in timeout. Ok, fine. BUT, she happened to be one of the teachers at the door that said she didn't know what happened to my daughter.... In all the time my daughter went yo the school, we felt they operated in the dark. We never received an email about any incidents and when we brought it to her teachers attention, he said he would look into it and get back to me. Never did. After this last incident, they also said they were going to investigate and interview the teachers and get back to me with their findings. They never did. It became very obvious to me that this school was all about collecting $$, but not providing even the basic service of safety, not to mention an education. I am not an unreasonable individual, and if they had just communicated when things happened and told me how they remedied it, I would have been ok. Send your child elsewhere..... there are plenty of good schools out there. This is not one of them.

In the infant room, each teacher is assigned to the same 4 infants daily. I was very impressed with this as each teacher learns their assigned infants, rather than the infants being passed around and cared for by different people every day. My daughter had horrible eczema as an infant and her teacher was EXTREMELY helpful in getting it under control by following the skin care regimen the pediatrician recommended. My daughter was always clean, happy and healthy. I never had to worry that my baby wasn't being cared for. The piece of mind alone was invaluable. My daughter is now getting ready to enter the school's pre-k program. She has learned so much throughout the years at Laurel tree and I am confident that she will be prepared, if not over prepared, for kindergarten next year. I am always impressed at the creative and hands-on ways the children are educated. I will forever be indebted to Laurel Tree Academy, their owners, teachers and other staff. Thank you for being my daughter's home away from home!

Due to relocation, we have…read moretried out quite a few daycares in the PA/NJ area, but none have compared to the care, dedication and attention that both our pre-school-aged child and infant receive at Primrose. The staff and teachers are truly a part of our "village," and have helped both our children flourish and grow. The facilities are also great. The amount of outdoor space available for varying age groups is like nothing I have seen before. Plus, they provide breakfast, lunch and snack. I love not having to worry about packing food each day - one less thing on my to-do list!

My husband and I made the difficult decision to immediately withdraw our children after what I personally witnessed inside the facility while employed there. From a parent perspective, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding illnesses, injuries, and incidents occurring throughout the day. I observed staff using personal phones while supervising children, including FaceTime calls during classroom hours, and I frequently saw curriculum expectations ignored entirely. The building itself appeared disorganized, understaffed, and lacking the level of professionalism and structure families are led to expect from a school charging premium tuition. From an employee perspective, I witnessed behavior from certain staff members that I found deeply concerning and inappropriate for childcare. This included yelling at children, speaking to them harshly, calling children names such as "dirtballs," threatening them, and physically handling children in ways that made me uncomfortable as both an educator and a mother. I also observed repeated issues involving supervision, classroom management, sanitation, and accountability that did not appear to be properly addressed when brought to administration's attention. I want to make it clear that there are genuinely kind, loving, hardworking teachers within this building who truly care about the children and deserve recognition for their dedication. Unfortunately, in my experience, the overall management and culture of the facility overshadowed the positive efforts of those individuals. Due to the seriousness of what I observed, I formally reported my concerns to the State of New Jersey and the child abuse hotline for investigation. No parent should ever feel uneasy leaving their child somewhere they are supposed to trust completely, and after seeing the environment from the inside, I could no longer confidently do so myself. I do not write this lightly. I was once excited to join this school as both a parent and employee because I believed in what Primrose represented. Sadly, my firsthand experiences did not reflect the safe, transparent, child-centered environment that families are promised. This institution is far more concerned with lining the pockets of the owners than the safety and well-being of the children attending. If you'd like to subject your children to abuse at the hands of staff, unreported illnesses, bites, and injury, this is the place for you!
