The Porch on Francis Street is Awesome! I stayed there seven nights during the Christmas holiday, and I will definitely book at the Porch on Francis Street again. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and very convenient to grocery and great restaurants. Jeff, Louise and Luba take care of you! I had my own space on the porch with rocking chairs. which is a great place to watch and meet people walking by. The Porch on Francis Street is about a 15-minute walk to the marina where all the boat tours load, about a 15-minute walk to Duval Street where everything happens and approximately a 45-minute walk to the south beaches and most southern point. I asked about crime in Key West, and I was told every now and then someone gets hit by a bike. Don't worry, be happy at the Porch on Francis Street. read more

There aren't enough wonderful things we can say about The Porch. We stayed here back in Sept 2023. Immediately after arriving, we felt like we knew Jeff forever!! Jeff welcomed us with a huge smile and got us settled immediately. We specifically reserved the room with the two rocking chairs on the porch in hopes of being able to enjoy them in the evenings, of which we did! Just perfect! The Inn was spotless, no complaints there. Located in the perfect place, a bit of a walk to the hustle and bustle, especially if it's super hot out. However, there are plenty of shops and restaurants literally right near the Inn. I felt super safe there as well! Jeff gave us local recommendations for food, accommodated us with beach towels, etc. just an overall great host. We 100% will be staying there again, soon hopefully ! Great, quiet spot in Old Town Key West. The owner, Jeff, has been renovated the 1860 house to keep all the old charm, but adding modern comforts. First and foremost, the property manager/ concierge Rider is a true delight!! She is knowledgeable of the town and can help arrange just about anything. She's an asset for your trip. Stop by the office in the morning for a cup of coffee, conversation, and adventure suggestions. Our room was spacious with a good-sized bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, and dorm fridge. The room opened onto the upstairs porch. The view was lovely, with a nice island breeze. There is an expansive porch on the ground floor as well. Both have fans and are suited for "people watching " and socializing. The location is quiet for morning coffee or evening cocktails. It is within walking distance to just about all the attractions (although a bicycle would make it even closer, lol). There is a good French restaurant across the street (Cafe Sole), and the famous 5 Brothers Sandwich Shop is a block away. There are two things to keep in mind when booking. One, there is no smoking on the property inside or outside. The second is that there is no pool. Don't worry though, Rider can steer you to some swimming spots. Beautiful place to stay, the staff was amazing and super welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable, with new bathrooms that were beautiful. i arrived at POFI and was greeted by Louise who was amazing! The Inn was beautiful and in a great location. the room I stayed in for the week was lovely and had everything I needed for a week stay or longer. Louise was super helpful, my bike order was cancelled and she immediately called Eaton Bikes, who delivered the bike an hour later. Throughout the week, Louise offered recommendations of places to go and things to do (I did this trip solo). Luba, from housekeeping was awesome, always asking if I needed anything. I met the owner, Jeff, the day before I left and he was so friendly and has done a great job with the Inn. Overall, the Inn is an awesome place to stat and I highly recommend it to anyone!! read more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Porch on Frances in June 2021. This was our first long vacation together after the lockdown, and it was a welcome relief. Our stay in Key West was only meant to be two days long, but our experience of the Inn, and the Key itself, convinced us to extend our stay. Our stay at the Porch was extremely pleasant and smooth. From our first meeting, Jeff was extremely attentive and helpful. His suggestions for the local attractions to check out were superb, and ended up being the highlights of our stay. Our rooms in the historic building on the Key were clean and comfortable. The Porch is beautifully situated on the Key within just a few minutes walk of the most lively bars and restaurants. Cafe Sole, right next door, proved to be one of our favourites. There were too many delightful items on the menu, and we need to come back to try the Angels on Horseback. One thing to watch out for is the crowing of roosters on the Key. They get started pretty early, so if you've had a late night, caveat emptor. Then again, when you're on vacation it's never too early for a hair of the dog. read more

I have some friends staying at the Inn. We were supposed to go with them but had to cancel last minute due to Covid. I wanted to have some Champagne and strawberries delivered to their room as a consolation. When I called to ask if they would except the delivery, Belinda at the front desk got in on the surprise with me. Not only did she accept the delivery, she placed the Champagne on ice, plated the strawberries and added a little note on my behalf. What an awesome customer service experience. The owner and manager were incredibly kind, funny and welcoming. We had Bloody Mary's in the courtyard while getting to know a few locals and other guests and we were treated like dear, old friends. This place is absolutely fabulous. The service is personal and attentive. It's a great bargain as well. Loved relaxing on the breezy porch in the shade after being in the sun all day. We stayed here for my husband's 50th!! One of my favorite vacations and hotels ever. Jeff, the owner, was so accommodating from the second I booked our stay. His staff called a few times prior to arrival to see if we wanted them to book us tours or restaurant reservations. He even provided my husband's favorite wine in our room for his birthday. We stayed in the king suite, with our own separate entrance. It was wonderful. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The wrap around porch was perfect for coffee in the morning and a cocktail at night. I hope to return next year for my 50th! I never write reviews....a wonderful place to stay!! read more

We made reservations almost 4 months ahead of time for the Bottle Room. We were so excited to sit on the porch outside our room! Upon arrival, we were told a 92 yr old was staying there and Jeff was concerned about him going up and down the stairs, so we were told we were being upgraded. No problem, or so we thought. Moved to a king bed instead of a queen...great! But, NO PORCH OFF OUR ROOM. Such a huge disappointment. After mentioning that this is not what we reserved he said we could move to a different room with a porch, but only for one night, then we'd have to move again. He said they were booked, but only we were being inconvenienced. Then Jeff said we could have our original room, but if the 92 yr old fell down the stairs and died "it was on us". Awful! He made us feel so guilty, we stayed in the room with NO PORCH. They was no resolve, despite sending texts asking for a slight refund. Jeff also threw his staff Rider, under the bus by saying how dumb she was and he has to continually train her. So unprofessional! Great room, just not the one we wanted. We'll never stay here again and don't recommend. Unprofessional, manipulative, and chaotic. Very disappointed. read more

We stayed here over Memorial Weekend. Room was clean and cozy! Owner was friendly and accommodating! We arrived early after a long drive from West Palm Beach and they allowed us to check in early! Really appreciated that. We will definitely stay again. Inn is close enough to walk to all the fun but not to close that can't get sleep from noise! Is a great location.
