The property is absolutely lovely, peaceful, and is just a "vibe" once you enter. You are greeted by such warm, friendly people, and as you walk to your room, you are surrounded by unparalleled, peaceful beauty. This was our 2nd stay, and they were both magnificent. The rooms are thoughtfully curated with beautiful local art, and lots nice touches. We were there for our anniversary and were greeted with a bottle of champagne, glasses, and a sweet card - what a nice surprise! There is a gratis, made to order breakfast that is such a great way to start the day and an awesome bonus for guests. The pool area is amazing...it's very clean and well maintained, as is the entire property. We LOVE watching the tortoises in their habitat, and watching the birds is quite nice as well! Our room was located on the backside of the building. Street noise was minimal, but yes the roosters will wake you up in the early morning hours. The Westwinds Inn provides a nice breakfast option of bagels, muffins, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee/hot tea and juice. This year they added a poolside Happy Hour on Wednesday - Friday from 3-4:30pm with beer, wine and some canned cocktails. It was a nice social time to meet others in the late afternoon. I hope they continue to have this for guests. The property is well maintained and our room was clean. The housekeeping staff made up the room everyday while we were out and provided fresh towels. The bathroom was nicely renovated with a blow dryer in the drawer and small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The room itself is pretty tiny with a very small amount of walking room along one side of the bed. It made it slightly difficult to use the cabinet for your clothes on that side of the room. If you are a larger person or have mobility issues then this room is not for you. Resting in bed and looking out to watch the tops of the palm trees sway in the breeze was a lovely view. Again, we rented bikes from Eaton bikes (on the corner) which is convenient. Westwinds also has a large bike rack in the property to use.

The closet fixture light didn't work. The outlet next to the bed was not screwed into the electrical box and had no outlet cover. The room was very dark due to insufficient lighting. Their attentiveness to housekeeping was horrible. I needed extra towels so I called the front desk ( after seeing him enter the office from my window). No answer and got voicemail, no reply to our request. Finally asked him in person and finally got my towels after day 3, but old towels were not removed nor was the room serviced. I felt like I wasn't welcomed and the staff was not happy. Would NOT recommend!

***Buyer Beware*** This hotel is a scam. They advertise…read morerooms with queen size beds that are clearly full size at best. I actually measured the bed and it was far smaller. On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

Each room comes with actual keys to get into the front door of the guest house and into your actual room. There's cameras located in the common area. There's patio areas to hangout and the home is on Duval street. The prime bars and food spots were 5-10 min walk. The beach (Fort Zachary) was a 20 min walk The rooms were not super modern, but it was comfortable. It came with a tv, iron, mini fridge, and fresh towels. You don't hear the actual noise on Duval street from the bar. I heard more noise from guest moving around and slamming doors. I would definitely recommend packing eat plus if you're a light sleeper. Especially if you're on the main floor near the front door. They provide a small continental breakfast including boiled eggs, freshly baked pastries from a local spot, cereal, oatmeal packets, milk, juices, and coffee. There's also a donut and coffee shop next door with THE BEST donuts EVER!!! It's called Glazed. The service was great! Foster is the main go to guy for questions and needs. He was super kind and helpful. He gave us really good recommendations for places to see, eat at, drink at, etc.... Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It's a prime location, clean, affordable, and good service. If you book directly through their website you save 10%.

We arrived late on Thursday night and was prepared for the late check in by the friendly office staff. It was a breeze getting our key and getting settled in. There was a spot right in front of our cottage that was free parking! (I was afraid we weren't going to find a spot but there was plenty and soo close!!) First walking into the cottage it was a lot nicer and bigger than we expected. There is so much storage and room to put all of your belongings. They provide an ironing board and iron, vacuum, some dishes, coffee with condiments, towels, a safe, plenty of pillows, and soaps! The cottage was very clean! The front porch was so nice to spend our mornings and nights on! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating! This cottage is in a perfect location and close to everything you want or need! We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay! Very close to CVS, laundry mat, scooter/bicycle rentals, coffee, Duval St and much much more! Also, the pool is a nice, quiet, relaxing area where clothing is optional! We would definitely recommend staying here when you go to Key West!

The office host was kind enough to let us check the room out before we booked it. The rooms are cool, clean, the bed was beyond comfortable (I'm actually still laying down haha) cute courtyard, friendly staff, parking, close to all the downtown Key West attractions but none of the noise! Lots of great little touches to the property as well, each of the guest houses run by the Key West Inns management has it's own personality. There are bikes available for rent right at the office too, so you don't have to try to track a rental down. Super big thank you to Andrea for being so accommodating, friendly and making great recommendations for the beach and restaurants. The icing on the already glorious cake is, the price!!! Completely reasonable and affordable. It is practically a steal. I'm certainly going to book this guesthouse again when I come back!
