Twice I was down to below an eighth of a tank and had called three days in as many days the first time. All she would say is that I was on the list. I got fuel on the sixth day. Second time I called at a quarter tank and ten days went by. Now, down to below an eighth, I called and was informed that a lot of their drivers were in quarantine and she had no idea when I would get fuel!! This after ten days!!! She told me to buy from somewhere else. I did. It turns out they were also charging me over a dollar more per gallon than any wine else I called. I did run out of fuel but the new company was going to come the next day and the owner of that company recommended I buy some deaden fuel to get my heat going again. It would've been quicker to plant a seed, have a tree grow from it, cut it down, let the wood cure and then start a fire to heat your home compared to waiting for them to respond to requests for fuel oil. read more

Porco Energy is unreliable at best. They will gladly let you spend a night in the cold rather than work a little late to deliver oil or gas to customers even when temperatures are below freezing. Their office is unbearable to deal with. They constantly fail to return phone calls or follow up as they promise. The dispatcher is unreachable most days so if you need a delivery be prepared to call and leave a message and then not get a call back. It could take 2-3days before you actually get your delivery. I just cant voice my dissatisfaction with this company enough. They truly do not VALUE their customers business at all. If you complain they simply tell you to go somewhere else. Even the BBB can't regulate their false promises. Believe me, you WILL be disappointed by these clowns in the dead of winter when you need oil or gas the most. Just try calling and ask for a same day delivery and see how they react. When they wouldn't I called 4 other places in Orange County and all said same day was no problem. Only Porco would let you freeze your buns off so they could go home at 5. Personal nomination for "Orange Counties Worst Business 2014" Also as Stephanie T.'s review mentioned there is NO NEED for a credit check when a customer is willing to pay cash. They just don't care about ALL customers, only the easy ones on auto-pay with good credit. read more

I'm here to agree with everyone who has posted recently. This company used to be good, since Superior took over it's a complete nightmare. "Auto-delivery" means the customer needs to call every time a delivery is needed. Billing is broken, I get charged twice every time I get a delivery. Use any other company you can. If you can't, it will be less frustrating to just light your money on fire in your house for warmth. read more

My issue with billing has been resolved, error with the new program. They have apologized profusely for it. Nearly a year later, no issues. It would be nice if it was easier to know when they were coming so you can plan around the bill. They expect you to ask about that, and I forgot last time I called. read more

When I moved into my home, the previous owner used them for a large tank in the back yard to heat the pool. I called them to inquire about rates and what they told me made no sense to me, so I decided not to use them. They said they'd be by to get their tank, I said that's fine, as long as I'm home, which would happen a couple of hours after my call. They disregarded me completely, criminally trespassed on my property and took their tank without contacting me nor my permission. Had I had my cameras mounted as I do now, they would be in court. This is a garbage company with garbage customer service and I hear they've been bought out with literally zero change in management practices. They were fine as a family run business but are now absolutely horrible since being taken over. Poor customer service all the way to the top with Joe and Steve. Check your bills closely for mistakes and good luck reaching them to fix errors - as lately I am not even sure they have a local secretary answering calls. Been routed to Plattsburgh where they can "E-mail my concern to the local branch." You can easily find a better company to work with and I recommend it. This is not COVID related. read more

Without question, Porco has THE worst customer service ANYWHERE...EVER. After having run out of propane in the middle of a frigid January when I was on automatic delivery, I decided to switch propane providers, and I did so on February 18. Since February 21, I've made more than a dozen attempts to contact Porco to have them pick up their tanks - through phone calls, emails, messages on their local office's contact address as well as main website address, via their Facebook page, via Facebook Messenger, and a written letter.....and have not received ONE response to any of my attempts to reach them. And the tanks are sitting in my yard 39 days after I started contacted them! I can only assume everyone is dead in the office - right?! What an absolutely DISGRACEFUL company! read more

We have been satisfied customers of Porco for many years, BUT lately Porco is basically unresponsive to our calls. We started calling Porco for a refill of our propane tank more than three weeks ago. After multiple calls & multiple promised deliveries, our tank still sits idly by. We are undergoing heating problems in our home which requires draining our radiators for an extended period while repairs are done. We rely on our fireplace insert for heat during this time of repair, and it is frustrating to have Porco repeatedly tell us we "are on the list" with no results! Don't know what's different these days, but recent attention to our requests is far from what it used to be! read more

One of the worst heating oil companies I have ever dealt with. I would give them zero stars if possible. Firstly the refuse to put me on automatic delivery. Their idea of automatic delivery is to send you a letter when the think you need a delivery. It is December and I have had no heat for 3 days. They never sent any letter. I called them the day it ran out and told them the situation. I was told "We will send someone out in the next couple of days." It is 3 days later and I still have no heat. AMAZING!!! I called this company to get fuel oil for my home. I spent 30 minutes on the phone, they insisted that they set up a credit account to deliver Kerosene to my house (even thought I wanted plain old oil which is 50 cents less a gallon). Two days later I did not hear anything from their credit department as I knew that I would be declined. I got a supervisor on the phone who told me that cannot deliver fuel oil to my house. I told them that I was planning on paying in advance or COD and they told me absolutely not did I want a list of other oil suppliers. I was shocked, I guess good old American Cash is not accepted @ Porco Energy. read more

We used to love Porco but since Superior took over, they are horrible. Twice we have ran out of fuel waiting for them to deliver. We live in a Mobile home and have a small child. It is currently 49 degrees in our home. We called this morning and was told a ticket was put in. We expressed that we were empty. Around 8:30pm after waiting all day we decided to call. The gentleman called back and left a VM stating that it could take days to respond to our ticket and that it would cost an additional $225 to do an emergency delivery, as if their fuel prices weren't already $1 more then most other companies in our area. Also, we are out of fuel. Shouldn't customers who are out of fuel be priority over those whom still have fuel? And why is this the second time since the beginning of the year that this has happened? I'm not sure what made Porco decide to become part of Superior, but it was a terrible decision. If we owed our house, we'd certainly switch companies. read more

I was pretty low on propane. I called early Monday morning and got a delivery that same day. The service person on the phone was very nice and pleasant to deal with. I'm sure they don't guarantee same day service but they really helped me out. read more

I had a poor first experience with a salesman at this company. However customer satisfaction is so important to the owner that he reached out to me, explained their desire to make me happy, and worked out a fair resolution that satisfied both his company requirements and my needs. I appreciated the fact that the owners cared enough to contact me personally. I will recommend them to family and friends. I had a service call on a Sunday, I never had such a rude, nasty, obnoxious service technician in all my days. I cant be sure that the problem was fixed, which is a big concern because it was the furnace. Since when is it ok to be rude to customers for no reason in there own home. This company is very unreliable. SO when I bought my house, I kept Porco because that's who the builder used. Even though I had excellent credit and an American Express card on file in their office, I could not be signed up for automatic fillups. When I called the office to complain, because who wants to go out in the freezing snow to check the tank levels, no one could give me an answer as to why I was not on the automatic fill program. So now that I found a great company in SOS Extreme, who also buried my tank at no cost to me, I have requested several times for Porco to come and pick up their tanks which they never come when promised. read more

My daughter ran out of propane and called and was told she had to have $300.00 cash - I phoned them and told them how absurd this was and it was an emergency they then told me well she called on Saturday - Needless to say we will not be doing business with them ever again. read more
