Thanks Porees's Embroidery for taking care of my son's school uniforms for St. Aug and my business shirts. I have shopped here for years.

In the lead up to Mardi Gras, there are so many bogus sites for themed clothing. I stumbled onto Poree amidst all those questionable sites. I placed my order. It did not arrive as soon as expected, so I called. And a live person answered. She explained the delay. When I opted to have my daughter (who lives in NOLA) pick it up, Poree refunded my shipping cost. The long sleeve golf shirt was good quality and true to size. Thanks, Poree! read more

I don't recommend this business. I ordered both of my son's uniforms in early July. I purchased shirts, sweaters, and fleece from another store and wanted them to put their names on them. I received a call stating that my items were ready for pickup. When I got there, my orders were wrong. On one of my son's shirts, his name was wrong. On the receipt, I made sure that the spelling was correct for both children. I gave the items back to them because the spelling was wrong. I kept calling if my order was ready. Then I went over there only to find out that they could not find any of my orders. " Me, How could you lose items that I purchased from another store.? Then, They called their location across the river to see where were my items. Ma'am, Why are you calling across the river? I placed my items on the east bank. You were only supposed to put their names correctly on the shirts and fleece. Now my son's senior year he could not wear the black fleece that he had been waiting to wear and this moment on the first day of school. It's been three weeks and still no items!! I ordered an AKA cap 2.5 weeks ago and still haven't received anything. I've followed up with three emails, no response about my merchandise or refund. I called four times with promises of a follow up call zilch. These folks are unprofessional and don't seem to care much about the term 'customer service '. Went there for the 1st time last week. Good location, friendly staff. As I looked around the store only has select few of schools (St. Aug, Karr, McMain). Ask about getting a name on a JanSport book bag. I was asked what color, font, & size I wanted for the bag. I informed the lady purple, Chancy (I think that was the name of it) & 20 size. I told her I wanted bigger bc I wanted name to go across the front pocket. She let me know it would be big. I received the bag and it was small as hell. Its pretty don't get me wrong but I wanted it bigger. Now I want to take it somewhere else to get it redone. I don't think I'll be shopping there again. The price was very reasonable, but if you state one thing then that's what I'm expecting. read more

I've been ordering from Poree's every sense they open. I order Personal, Church and Club items all was just as we ask design was awesome and just what we ordered. Ok so, I just went shopping for school supplies. Yes, I waited. Yes, I do all of my Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve too. This time it was on purpose, since today is the State Tax Free day. I brought all 4 kids to buy uniforms. After spending hundreds of dollars we went home and when I took out the receipt I noticed that they charged the full 9% tax! So, I called and very politely pointed out the error. The woman on the phone says, "Oh, we don't participate in that." What do you mean? I asked. She said, "Our computers aren't set up for that so, we just don't do it." I just got off the phone with the Revenue Dept. I can fill out a form and get the money returned from the State. This makes me a little happier but, this is an easy computer set up adjustment for the store and any cost to implement this is given back to the store by the state. If I didn't think to look on the receipt, I wouldn't have known that they didn't participate in the tax free day. If I would have known they weren't going to participate, I would have shopped somewhere else, like online, out of convenience. Think customer service, Poree. Next year, I will shop elsewhere. My kids are just beginning school too so, we are talking uniforms for four over the next 15 years. Those few dollars cost you big! read more

My overall experience was poor. I ordered a product from the website and received an email stating that my order would be processed. I never received any follow up information from that point. After waiting roughly a week, I had to search for a contact number (nothing listed or available on the website) and called. I was then told to call another number. When I finally got in touch with someone, they said they would have to call me back. When they didn't, I called again. From that point I received an email that my order was shipped; however, never received a tracking number or way to track my package. After a few days, I once again called and was told my package would be delivered on Saturday, which it was not. It is now the following Wednesday and have just received my package. Improvements need to be made to the website and customer care. If the business is not able to handle online orders, an online store feature should not be offered. I will most certainly not be using this company or referring anyone there. read more
