Cute but had a terrible attitude when It was…read moretime for my number to be called the speaker and tv system didn't announce it, so he called it and I went over to his desk thinking I needed to see him before going over to the window, thought it was routine, yet he stares at me when I told him that was my number, he then says "ok" and I ask him where do I go he points at the screen in a very rude and authoritarian voice "look at the screen" which I did and just walked away, once seated with the person that helped me things got way better, she was super nice and thanked me for asking how her day was, bet they don't hear that often therefore I try to be nice to all public and government officials, yet I got an entitled security who takes his job way too seriously and definitely didn't want to be there, sad but a reality when they feel they are above you because of the place they work at, hope his days are better for him and being kind and personable doesn't hurt.

Their security guard on point, alert and in great service, he called me out when I was too close to the check in, unaware, he pointed to the red sign and politely asked me to wait further back to respect the privacy of others, he would assist the elderly when they couldn't hear the muffled audible calls or see the screen. I was deeply moved by all of this, and am grateful for the security and experience. Since I came in a little late I wasn't able to complete my appeal due to consideration for closing, yet I believe her name was Betty or Becky printed out all the steps and paperwork needed, I am grateful for she have the best service due to her limitations.

I needed a replacement card for my son, and while I did have my application prepared, I didn't have the supporting documentation to get my card. Ms Mayfield, the person who was helping me was very patient, knowledgeable, and helped me get the necessary documents in order. Next time I need something Social Security related, I'm going here. And although I know it's in my file that I use TTY, workers keep spam calling me via voice call, even in response to emails I've sent specifically asking them to use TTY compatible device/service, like it really seems like some sick joke! and I complained about this to the "ADA Facilities and Public Access Coordinator" and all she said was "I am not clear exactly what the problem is at this point" and "I am not clear exactly what this issue is." The *ADA Facilities and Public Access Coordinator* is not clear what the problem is when it's in my records that I use TTY and workers keep calling me via voice, even though they know I use TTY (as they are also responding to emails specifically noting this)?? THEN GET ANOTHER JOB! I'm "not clear" how ANYONE could not understand what the problem is when county workers insist on calling via voice to someone who's noted to use TTY, let alone an ADA officer!

At the same time ask the person what you should prepare to bring with you (forms, id, other members of the family, etc etc); 2- Arrive for your appt 10 min early so you have time to get through the security check (similar to TSA at airport). There is plenty of FREE Parking there! 3- Be kind to the security check people -- they're just doing their job. 4- Have everything in hand for your appt, so when you're called to go to a Window, you're ready. They will first ask for your ID. 5- Both times I visited this office, the window agents were first rate. They answered all my questions and gave me tips on how to proceed afterwards. They have veteran services on the first floor, and vital records on the second floor. It was a little eerie walking through empty hallways with shut doors. But I made my way to the second floor and see the door for vital records. The door was closed, but the sign says to come in. The waiting room is very small with about 5 chairs. The person at the window was very helpful, took my request, accepted my payment, and came out a few minutes later with the documents. Everything took about 10 minutes in and out. They are located in Martinez, across the street from some condos. There's a parking lot, and the place reminds me of the DMV but less cars and people. Overall, a quick and easy experience.
