The town celebration is perfect for families, couples, friends, seniors, locals or visitors. There is something for everyone. I imagine when there is not a virus looming, this little town really bustles. On this Friday there were many people enjoying themselves, without a scary crowd. We were able to stroll, have a coffee, shop, dine and finish with a cocktail & live music at a tiny bed and breakfast without ever having to get too close to anyone. There's a ton of shops that line the street offering anything you can imagine. There is jewelry, clothing, gifts, home goods and yard decor just to name a few. You could visit one of the Five Festive Friday Eves and stay a few more days to see everything. I watched families with wagons, walk along putting out lights in bags that line the beautiful main street. Free trolley rides are available.The Rivoli Theater offers classic holiday movies. The Shops At Cedar Creek Settlement gave a way goodies & tote bags, there was a raffle and was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The Cedarburg Art Museum created an Enchanted Garden with holiday lights and a bonfire. Mr. & Mrs. Claus even have a small home built with a mailbox for letters to Santa. Just down the road is Herman A Zeunert Park. You can drive through and experience their holiday lights. A donation as you enter is very much appreciated. In addition to all this excitement, there are a ton of restaurants and pubs. I did not go in but peeked in the windows. They all seemed to have the crowds nicely spaced out. There are so many choices. There is American fare, Mexican, pizza, crepes and even a nice steakhouse. Checking out the wineries, local breweries and even a moonshiery that offers moonshine and whiskey is a must on a later visit. I fell in love with this adorable town and cannot sing it's praises enough. Five Festive Friday Eves embodies everything a small town stands for - family, fun and the holiday spirit!

My first-degree was a fine arts degree from Mount Mary college so I love this event! There is something for everyone here at this art show. There's so many unique artists with everything imaginable for indoor or outdoor spaces. There's also amazing jewelry you can buy along with homemade bags and purses. Programming at the Planetarium tends to be great for people of all ages including children. The event was well attended, and two free planetarium shows were offered. The stargazing show was about 30 mins and very informative. We both learned something new about the night sky and left excited to try to spot some new constellations on our next camping trip up north. After the stargazing show, we were able to head up to the rooftop of the Planetarium to check out Jupiter and Saturn on the mega-telescope. Seeing the planets was a treat and worth the wait - there were a lot of students there for extra credit, so we had to wait maybe 30 mins to be able to scope out both planets. There is a suggested donation of $5 when you visit and they also ask for you to "sign-in" so they can track where visitors come in from, etc. It was a worthwhile visit. Something off the beaten path, low-key and educational.

They cover a variety of Genres of music. The winery sells glasses and bottles of wine for you to drink, share or take home. Don't forget to stop in the shops along the streets. The food and beverages are always a reflection of the festival (Strawberry or Harvest), and they're tasty. There are several cash stations and banks nearby, but always best to bring cash. Great for families and adults to have fun. It ends at 6pm on Saturdays and 5pm on Sundays.

They have a beautiful little pond with a creek. They even have a bunch of farm equipment throughout the farm with information on what it is and how it's used on a farm. Really cool! I was lucky to run into some neighbors from Brown deer who said they were going to meet at the brick yard. I said you mean the Brick from Tim Wren on Green Bay ave. They said it's new. By the new library, mind you I've been absent for about a year and nine months so giving me directions to a new place that popped up less than a year ago it's not helping so I followed them down to Brown Deer Rd in the old section close to the electric power wires and the oak park bike trail across the street from the Audi dealership to the south side of Brown deer Road. They had a musician on a small stage located inside of a small container box previously used for shipping also re-purposed was the main bar area that had flip up windows all around it that was made with two storage containers stuck together the restrooms are basically a bunch of Porta potty's and conveniently placed throughout the whole area are Handwashing and hand sanitizing stations with probably the strongest alcohol levels I've ever had put on my hands without burning my skin off. Location has plenty of picnic tables lots of open space with access for bikers and community. Music and food rotate. so it's constantly changing. the service on Thursday night was perfect.
