AL post 196 was a great spot for the car show because it has rest rooms, bar, restaurant, outdoor grills and outdoor seating and a covered outdoor seating space for those hot summer days. WOW this was a very good car show with a great diversity of vehicles from the super old to today's vehicles. They had everything from drag cars, race cars, antiques, restomods, restored, good condition, clones, stree rods etc etc. I really enjoyed walking the grounds and looking at all the cars as a car collector person my self. It's really cool looking at everyone's cars because everyone's taste is different so you get to see some really cool cars from so many manufacturers in one spot. The Uber app platter came with a huge pretzel, cheese, sausage bites, bacon schmear, and fresh cheese curds. They were not kidding when they said the amount is good for 3-4 people. Everything on this platter was spot on, especially the giant pretzel! The hofbrau is a 9-inch chicken bratwurst with bacon schmear, sweet relish, and diced red onions. The menu hasn't changed much and they do have some things posted on their website (though some pricing is a tad off). It's always exciting to see what they have on tap at each location though. The staff were extremely friendly and quick to get our beers poured and our pretzel ready. They had music playing and some communal games available (bags, giant jenga, etc) on the lawn. It was a little tricky to see which end of the park this was at as there wasn't any guidance online. They mentioned a picnic area 3A on the signage in the park but we couldn't figure out how to get there at first. It would help if they have some of this info online so those unfamiliar with the area can find them a bit easier. Otherwise, always a great space with decent prices and excellent staff. If you bring your own pint glass, you can get the refill price ($7). Or, you can get a new 2025 glass and fill for just $9.

My husband isn't a fan of IPAs or sours so that limits things a bit. Plus, they don't show prices online or in-person. Didn't know until after I got my receipt that our 2 beers cost $7.50 and $6.50 respectively. Not the worst, but you can get more options elsewhere for the same or less at other beer gardens. The garden is right next to a play area and sand volleyball so it got noisy quick with all of the kids running around. Lots of people brought their own food but they also have 1 food truck there with a schedule listed on the website. The waffle cones looked good but we just weren't digging the vibe so skipped. Would definitely get the smores cone sometime. If you're looking for a family friendly beer garden, this is your place.

Unfortunately there were no food trucks for the people that came less prepared. We happened to be dog sitting and Aspen enjoyed the great weather with us! They also have live music Friday-Sunday.
