    Honey mustard

I'd like to do this review in the style of Fleetwood Mac's song, "Little Lies". Don't let those stripes fool you, it is not a good representation of the brand. Basically, they are telling lies and they aren't sweet little lies (cue back-up singer, " tell me lies"). Portillo's in Springfield you can't disguise, no you can't disguise that your food was in the freezer too long. I ordered your kid's meal of a 4-piece chicken strips, fries, and an apple juice. I was promised non-stale fries and a kid's prize (cue back-up singer, "kid's prize"). There you go again, and I can't close my, close my, close my eyes. Where's was my prize (cue back-up singer, "my prize")? Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies because there was no prize...it was paper hat. The worst and we are breaking up too. P.S. why is your honey mustard an icky color?

I will say the restaurant is very big and loud. As soon as you walk in, there's typically two lines and you just pick which line to go in. This app was very friendly and took our order promptly. Then they yell it into the microphone and that's how your order is made. They have a grab and go section for cakes you can get a large one or even a slice. We had the Chicago style hotdog, which is great and a cheeseburger as well. Both were very delicious. I don't feel like the hotdog was very big and I really don't feel like there was anything that special about it. My Husband very much enjoyed the cheeseburger.

    I'm door dining area.

We wanted in because it was kind of late and we wanted something fast. We were pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were yummy, good size, and the French fries salty which is what you want. Pleasantly surprised! Four stars for the food.

Italian beef, sweet peppers, Portillo's style (drenched in au jus)

Springfield location of the iconic Chicago staple, which we had to try as we passed through. Nice restaurant with vintage signs and accents, reminiscent of a 50's diner. Awesome menu with some new items including bowls, which are essentially bowls of meat, perfect for keto!! Italian Roast Beef with sweet peppers was spot on, Portillo's style, which is drenched in au jus. Chicago dogs were perfect..and we tried the salted Carmel shake...soooo good. For 7 of us the bill ran just at C note, but we ate like kings. A roast beef with peppers runs about $9 (peppers are an essential add), so add in a drink and fries/rings and this is a much better value than your typical fast food. They do offer burgers, which we have never had, plus Italian sausage, and a variety of salads too. We love Portillo's and we're definitely glad this extension of the franchise did not disappoint!! If there is an issue..it's identifying food within orders. We had 4 different beef sandwiches and had to open each and pass them around to get the correct one...maybe an identifying sticker would be nice?? Also, from the reviews they may have drive through issues...we are inside, so we can't comment on that, but insides was great!

Look for great dogs and Italian beef sandwiches?? This is the place to go! They are doing a great job here in bringing the Chicago classics!

Our entire road trip was planned around a stop at Portillo's. I've heard good things from so many people. I decided I had to check it out for myself. They have the roadside diner theme down to an art. The place is full of Route 66 memorabilia. There are booths and tables for almost any size party. In true fast food style, they offer counter service. You order at the counter, choose your seat, and they call your number. There are options for just about everyone. Burgers, Italian beef, chicken, fish, salads, hot dogs, and polish sausage. We went with the beef dip sandwich with extra gravy. The beef was a little on the dry side for my taste. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly crisp and tender. The best part hands down were the milkshakes. We went with traditional chocolate and strawberry. We had to try the strawberry lemon cake. This shake is as delicious as it sounds. If your travels take you out this way, definitely give them a try!

Overall 3.75 Stars…read more If you need a healthy alternative to heavy laden carbs or fried / rich foods, then this place is for you. After spending a day at a theme park and eating their options, it was nice to "clean" your body out with a good and healthy salad. Located on Sand Lake road near Publix and multiple eateries, this place has a wide selection of salads, sandwiches, and a limited selection of soups. Ambiance: 3.5 Stars The place was clean and has plentiful seating. Ranging from bar style or bench and tables. It is Deli style when ordering. Go to the back and select the type of salads, rice / couscous, soups, or sandwiches. There are pre-fixed options or you can build your own bowl. The eatery was clean, open and airy. Natural lighting was pleasant with the large front windows. It would have been a higher star rating for the ambiance, but the bathrooms needed some work. Though it was clean and roomy, there was no soap and limited toilet paper. Staff: 3.5 Stars Deli The employees were friendly and professional. Our server assisted us with questions and our selections. However, with the middle Eastern dialect and his ability to speak at a rate of the sound barrier, he had to repeat a few times for us to understand. Note: His patience was much appreciated. Food: 3.75 Stars We all chose several different salads. Three were pre-fixed and one was customized. 1. Shanghai Chicken Salad - 3.5 Stars Roasted chicken, edamame, scallions, almonds, cilantro, red cabbage, romaine perfectly paired with miso sesame vinaigrette Contains: Nuts, Soy I chosen the chopped romaine leaves as the base. It was light and flavorful from the dressing. However the chicken was a little bit overcooked and dry. The condiments were plentiful and fresh. Though it was good and had protein, I felt somewhat satisfied. I could eaten another bowl. 2. Chicken Shawarma - 4 Stars Blackened diced chicken thigh, kale, hummus, baba ghanoush, pickles, Israeli salad with Greek yogurt and tahini dressing. The based options are rice melody or couscous. I chose the rice melody. This bowl was more satisfying than the Shanghai Chicken Salad. The chicken tasted juicy, tender and flavorful. Choosing a thigh instead of breast brings the umami flavor of the chicken. The fresh veggies and tahini dressing was a perfect match for this option. 3. Santa Fe Salad - 3.5 Stars avocado, corn, local jack & cheddar, grape tomatoes, onions, tortilla chips, local kale, romaine, perfectly paired with chipotle-lime vinaigrette with a fresh lime squeeze. My sister added chicken thigh and avocado Chimichurri dressing. She said it was tasty. 4. South Beach - 3 Stars craisins, walnuts, green apples, blue cheese, local mesclun, romaine, perfectly paired with balsamic vinaigrette. My wife added chicken and swapped the walnuts for pumpkin seeds. The diced breast chicken was slightly dry and seasoning was lacking. The salad itself was good but wasn't too satisfying. 5. Customized Salad - 3.25 Stars My niece chose to customize her salad bowl. She chose chicken, romaine lettuces, shaved Parmesan cheese, cucumbers, edamame, and other veggie ingredients. She chose the avocado Chimichurri dressing which she liked. NOTE: they offer breakfast items and coffee. Selection of various drinks are from a deli refrigerator and they carry some Kombucha options too. Enjoy!

Tons of great options if you're looking to eat some fresh and healthy. I ordered the Wok bowl and although it sounded like my cup of tea, it didn't taste like it. The bowl itself looked delicious, and the rice and chicken were both actually warm to my surprise! The rice itself however was a little hard and the chicken was a bit bland. I wish I would've asked for the sauce on the side or maybe added some sauce to my chicken to give it more flavor as all my sauce ended up on the veggies and really didn't enhance absorb the peanut sauce (which was great). I will say this bowl was packed and honestly offered a good amount of food for the price (~$14 to 15) I would definitely give this place another chance because there were definitely other items that caught my eye. I know the wok bowl definitely has potentially and wouldn't knock this place out after my first experience!

I discovered this one-of-a-kind fast casual restaurant through Yelp on a recent visit to the Historic Winter Garden area. Because of the healthier food options and great reviews, my wife and I decided to give it a try since it was just a short distance away from the historic downtown. One other plus we discovered early (because of the sign just inside the doorway): No seed oils are used in their salad dressings, only 100% extra virgin olive oil. My wife chose "Build a Bowl" and added chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, and (the very tasty) herb & parmesan mushrooms. I ordered "Build Your Own Salad", and chose the local Italian sausage as my protein, with some crisp greens and sautéed onions, and fresh lemon garlic vinaigrette on the side. We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and healthy options. We definitely would like to return. This restaurant currently is the first and only one. MISC. The concept was created by the former Miller Ale House President/COO and his family to provide a healthier option for fast casual food. He and some of his family happened to be sitting at some tables when we arrived. Also, although we didn't order these: Sandwiches and Burgers, including Impossible, are available; Soups are made from scratch; Kids Menu; Organic non-alcoholic beverages; Coke/Sprite; and Beer & Wine.

We enjoy tapas style restaurants as an opportunity to try a variety of small plates to get a feel of what the restaurant offers. We ordered the street corn, sesame steak skewers, and garlic maple chicken wings. The corn and steak skewers (so tender) were delicious, however the wings fell a bit short. They weren't bad, but there wasn't any essence of garlic or maple; more like heavy ginger and citrus. Cafe Tu Tu Tango is an enjoyable option for tourists who want something perceivably "different" than what they'd experience at home or in the surrounding area. One can argue it's still that way, but I didn't think that this place was as nice as it was! We parked at the parking garage and walked over instead of doing valet. Even at 9pm this area was very busy, including this restaurant. We had a reservation and were led to a half-table/half booth opposite the bar area which was pretty loud from the the music but we made due. The decor is very Hamptons, NY, beach house vibes. The bathrooms were nearby kinda. You had to walk down a long hall to them but once you get there they are gorgeous, spacious and clean. I got one drink, the Cucumber Elderflower (vodka, st. germain, cucumber, lemon, basil oil) and it was beautiful looking. It tasted great as well. I tried to go easy on eating but that was hard lol. I personally got the half dozen raw oysters, half east coast and half west coast. My fiance got the Crab and Shrimp Bruschetta to share ( lump crab and shrimp with sweet chili aioli on crispy ciabatta). Wow, these were so delicious and creamy, not to mention the generous portion of crab and shrimp topping. This can get messy if you don't pay attention. I had ordered the Seafood Gnocchi (pillowy asiago gnocchi with shrimp, calamari, and P.E.I. mussels in a calabrian chili tomato garlic sauce) and he got the Blackened Sea Bass ( barramundi with coconut rice, broccolini, mango salsa, and spicy mango purée ). A manager had delivered these to our table and was very excited to come back later to see what we thought about these dishes as they were fairly new. I loved my gnocchi! the sauce was not too spicy but brought the right amount of heat and kick to the dish. The seafood was fresh but cheese inside the gnocchi was the star. So good! I never thought asiago could be so dang tasty. He loved his sea bass. I tasted a little bit of it and it was cooked perfectly, seasoned, flaky, and light. I had a really good dinner here and I'll think twice about I-Drive restaurants.
