If you like paying high prices with restrictive packaging and long wait times, come here! If not, hire a friend with a nice camera. Trust me...it's much cheaper. For 4 different poses it was $180 with tax! When we got in, we waited for 10 minutes. I had time to do a fashion show for my family and play with the legos! The photographer unfortunately didn't have very creative poses. At one point, she had me put a card in the mail for Santa. The photographer then took us through a painstakingly long process to choose which photos we liked best. They then told us that the pictures would be ready in 30 minutes. We went back 30 minutes later and the lady disappeared! We're still waiting on this women at this point. At least I'll have my pricey Santa photo at some point! The one thing I will say is that the staff members were very kind and very apologetic for the inconvenience. Our photographer loved my sense of humor and even gave me a hug as an apology. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter to have pictures done for her 1st birthday. We waited for 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment time and by that point I was pretty irritated. However, Brittany our photographer turned the whole experience around for us. She was very friendly and professional. And she was very patient and helped make my daughter feel comfortable to make sure we got some great shots. read more

I would give it Zero stars if it let me . My appointment was at 4:00 and it was close to 5 pm by the time they took us . They told us they have "play makers to get the kids to smile and then they didn't give us one. We had a 2 year old and 9 month old and I ended up having to be the "play maker" also the photographer was terrible . No personality or care in the world of the quality of pictures she took . Didn't try to get the kids to smile . In fact she didn't move at all from the floor she was sitting on or help in any way . Then when it came to pick out packages of the pics which by the way are ridiculously overpriced we weren't told that the package we selected that came with a cd could only have pictures reordered from them and I can't take them anywhere else to be printed . I had a newborn session and not only were the pictures terrible, but all the staff except 1 person was very rude and unfriendly. Picking pictures were very difficult not because they were wonderful, but because they were so terrible! I am extremely disappointed. I had an appointment today at 9:30, I checked in at 9, the photographer was running late, we didn't start until 20-30 min after my actual appointment. The pictures were of my daughter and 6 month son who was asleep by the time we were called. After the session was done I was told the pictures did not save, ( I am pretty sure they deleted them). So we take pictures for the second time.. once again change. By this time both of my kids were tired and ready to be done. No real effort was put I. By the photographer if anything the photographer was rushing. Only got 25 shots and I didn't love any of them. I purchased the package of 3 pose for 107.00. Which I felt wasn't worth it. The only reason I did was because It was the only time I was able to take the pictures and needed a single pose of both kids and one pose of them together. Had my sons 2 year pictures here and decided to pay for a canvas and calendar to be picked up a later date. Arrived to pick it up two days prior to final pickup date and they had disposed of all the items saying that they attempted to contact me prior to disposal. I called customer service only to be laughed off the phone. I would never under any circumstances recommend going here. read more

Worst photo experience ever. I will never return to this place. Had an appointment at 430 and were the only people in the building. There were two associates, Lou Lou and Justine. We didn't get started until about 5 because the girl was freaking out that she was going to be the only one working until 6. We waited to have our photo shoot while Lou Lou called around asking for other people to come into work. They seemed annoyed we were even there. Finally she called us over and didn't introduce herself or anything. My mom let her know we had a gift card and would be using $50 today on our prints and $50 in a couple weeks when we could schedule with my niece and nephew. They told us we absolutely could not do that, and the gift card was 'use it or lose it'. At this point I said that's absolutely ridiculous we paid $100 of our money to get the gift card what are they going to pocket the other $50!? The prints we wanted were not even going to be $100 that day. Lou Lou told us it's written on the form when we got the gift card. My mom had it with her and showed them the paperwork and nowhere did it say you must use it all at once. They called corporate and instead of letting us purchase prints two different times with the gift card the best they could do was to "hold" our pictures until the next time we come in. Finally we get to picture taking which was another disaster in itself. Justine just told us to go up there and stand. We all were awkwardly standing waiting for instruction on how to pose and she just started taking pictures of us. She asked if there was any other pose we would like to try and we were all baffled because isn't this HER job? We came here to have professional help! Some of us were standing too close while others further apart! Every other time I've gotten pictures, the photographer helped with posing and positioning! SO unprofessional. She acted like she didn't care and had no idea what was going on. At the end we asked if we could look at the pictures (we all had a feeling they would look horrible because of the lack of knowledge and help from the photographer) and she told us we can't even look at them since they're 'holding' the photos until the next time we come in because if she showed them to us that means she has to upload them and we would have to pay that day. But as we were walking out she had our pictures up on the giant computer screen and was looking through one by one all of our pictures she just refused to show us!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!! read more

predatory business. Photo packages start at over $400 and are presented so that you spend lots and lots of money without understanding what you are getting. The salespeople/photographers are trained to show what you are "giving up permanently" every time you ask for a more reasonably priced package. Whoever came up with this business model did something bad, and I feel sorry for the staff who are forced to swindle money out of vulnerable customers who just want a nice photo of their families. read more

What to say about Portrait Innovations. I could say it's a family friendly place. I could say the prices are reasonable and the employees are fantastic and care about your photo experience but if I told you all of that, well, that would be a lie. It is far from a family friendly place and they don't mention prices to you beforehand because they want you to have to sit and go over all of the collections that they have with you and they say that it's so every customer has the same experience but in reality it is all about SALES. They need to make a good sale in order to keep their job. If they didn't they wouldn't give two shits about going through the collections. But they are pretty much train you to convince people that only want a few pictures to buy a $400 package and they literally make you say "This is the LAST TIME" and what not. Oh and they will say that your pictures aren't saved in the studio but really your pictures are in fact saved on a thing called MAPS and it has every single picture that the photographer has ever took. And the regional manager goes through all of those pictures and determines who is fit to stay just by judging by the pictures. And even though customers don't want to go through 4 different backgrounds due to their kids running all over the place or not enough time, the company forces you to do 4. If you don't you get fired. You also have sheets you print off showing your sales per week and if your sales are below the line, expect to get fired. As far as your photo experience goes, the photographers don't give a shit about getting your child to smile. As long as they get their entire session done within a certain amount of time, they DO NOT CARE. They are getting timed from the minute they walk into the first camera room, to the minute they cash you out. It's not about your experience whatsoever. This is why they get so many customer complaints because many customers feel as if they are being rushed in the camera room. I would go into detail about who rushes things in the camera rooms and the amount of times I have been hit by a fellow associate when I was trying to get a kid to smile instead of taking a picture quick enough and I would go into detail about how the associates are all stuck up snotty little bitches but I won't. This company is all about $$$$$. That's it. They don't care about their workers. They don't care if the customer doesn't want to buy a $200 High Resolution fucking CD. All they care about is that at the end of the day everyone sells. If they don't they are axed. Even though every single customer you interact with loves you and says they think you are the greatest. Customer service doesn't matter to them. It's all about the big bucks. They mainly hire around the holidays and their training is bullshit. You're not even up to speed by the time you have to work their first day where they are completely booked. Your "training days" are 9 & 1/2 hours long. They make you sit in front of the computer and go through the selling process and literally tell you exactly what to say and tell you "you want them to buy the highest package that we have available regardless if they just came in for the special or not". When you get fired if you aren't selling well, they will make you sign a contract saying they will pay you for one more 40 hour workweek as long as you don't bash the company because they know DAMN WELL what they are doing. They don't care if you have 3 kids to support. They don't care if you have to pay for your mortgage. They don't care about any of that shit. All that matters to them is that you didn't sell and you're out. So all I have to say is go spend your money at a place that is more deserving of your money. Don't go to Portrait Innovations and waste $300 on a company that doesn't give a shit. The prices are ridiculous anyways. If you want 15 poses expect to pay $500. Then you have to get rid of 3 poses to keep going down. I really hope this company goes bankrupt one day. That's all I have left to say.
