Our granddaughter shared a 12" Plain Medicine Wheel Pizza (NO CHEESE, DAIRY FREE) NO CHEESE, just our tomato sauce, garlic oil & herbs, add your own topping, 1/2 with added potatoes, 1/2 with pineapple and cheese. We shared a couple of Evolution Salads: local sustainably harvested, sweet leaf lettuces with celery, carrots, toasted sesame seeds, Maine sea kelp and our house made ginger-tamari vinaigrette. And shared a Vegan and Gluten-free lemon Whoopie Pies for dessert. Our family of 6 was well fed with a delicious meal.

We ordered two large pizzas, a cheese and sausage as well as a potato. Both very very good - good chew to the dough, plenty of cheese and topped appropriately. When I went to pick them up I could see the dining room hopping. There is a full bar and a slightly dark ambiance. I can see this place must be a popular spot.

I think the problem is that it's been given a pass for so long that now it's reputation is untouchable, and this unfortunately is going to be a humbling post. It was highly recommended to us by our hotel during our stay in Rockland, and we went the first night, of which they were booked out but no problem at all, it smelled so good we decided to make reservations for the subsequent night. So we did. Mind you, let me caveat and say it's also always a challenge to eat at Italian restaurants, because it means that someone has to make a sauce that's better than you can make it home, and that's normally not the case, save a few exceptions. So we came back, excited, and ready to be blown away, because of the house made pasta, because of the amazing aroma, and because of the beautiful ambience. However, all of our meals fell short. Spaghetti & meatballs, the meatballs were quite dry and somewhat crumbly, and the sauce while yes fresh still had no flavor. The pasta, which was probably most of the excitement for eating there did not taste as delightful as you know fresh noodles should taste. Pizzas were just ok, and although the eggplant Parmesan was cooked well, again the same sauce was used to flavor it and was still non descript. Our server was phenomenal in good news, checking In repeatedly, saw the uneaten meatballs, and asked if there was a problem, which I just replied they weren't quite what I expected. Also, the vibe in the restaurant was amazing. So if anything I would go for that, but food would not recommend.

We had the carbonara and the margherita pizza. Both were quite delicious. The carbonara was genuinely one of the best I've had in some time. The pizza was light and not overtly heavy or dense. Definitely great for sharing. I do recommend either getting a reservation or preparing for a wait as they were quite busy the entire time we were there. Overall though the vibe was great and I would definitely go back when in town

My husband and I visited for drinks and spent a few hours at the bar. During the first part of our visit, we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was friendly, we enjoyed meeting other patrons, including several Canadian Army veterans on a motorcycle tour, and the service from the initial bartender was excellent. We appreciated being allowed to play a complimentary game of pool. Unfortunately, the experience changed dramatically after the bartending shift change. From that point on, we felt unwelcome and believed staff chose to side with a small group of patrons during a disagreement rather than taking the time to understand the situation. Ultimately, we were asked to leave, which came as a complete surprise and left us feeling embarrassed and disappointed. What makes this especially frustrating is that we had spent a significant amount of money at the establishment and had been enjoying ourselves without issue for most of the evening. the way the situation was handled left us feeling dismissed and unfairly treated. Based on this experience, I would not return and don't recommend this establishment to other visitors.

The chowder tasted of cream, the potatoes were soft and subtle and cooked and cut properly; the clams were fresh and the amount resting the just not enough range. The clam chowder was way too thin and was a soup or broth. The butternut squash soup was underwhelming. The ambiance including decor and vibe is excellent. Fun. The service is classic Maine. Grumpy, slow and impolite with a smile. Drinks are very good. P
