I have been thoroughly pleased with the care and guidance he has received. He starts kindergarten in the fall, & I had the choice of enrolling hin an after school program that was much more affordable than theirs, but I have made those types of decisions based on money in the past, and quite frankly I've learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. The staff at kids on 12th is knowledgeable and helpful, and the energy in the place is great! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for part/full time care for their children while they work.

Steer Clear of JUDY she is a very nasty and gruff woman, and from what I have observed of her, should not be working with young children. I will preface this by saying I am not a person that overreacts and if my children are not behaving in a respectful manner they are corrected immediately. Judy seems a little unhinged, she screamed, not even yelled or raised her voice but screamed at my 4 year old son because he reached inside of her lollipop bag (the kids get to choose a lollipop when their lesson is over) before I had a chance to dry him off. She snatched the bag away from his hands and then watched him and my daughter with disdain on her face to make sure they didn't drip water in the bag of lollipops. This is one of those incidents that you kind of have to be present for to understand. Her behavior seemed unhinged. I feel awkward leaving this review because, like I said, I am not a very sensitive person and if my child is doing something wrong I would expect the appropriate measures be taken to correct their behavior. This was so far beyond that, this woman is nasty and mean. She should not be working so closely with young children, she does not have the temperament for it.

Sweet....Arden theater had "green eggs and ham" 1 day workshop to help the kids learn about character building, rhythm, and dance. I was worried that she would be shy, but it seems all the kids just jumped right in. They learned a musical number "green eggs and ham" (with piano). It really helped that the teachers were very patient and just as excited as the kids. During the workshop, the parents were not allowed to stay in the room to observe, only to return during the last 15 mins for a show by the kids ( what they learned). I had about 2 hours to kill so walked all around old city and went to a few nice boutique. Next time I will plan on a nice lunch....wish I thought of that sooner but I took too long to decide and ran out of time. I would definitely recommend this acting workshop and I will sign her up again. It's just a few hours and you can get some time to yourself.

It has been a long time since my kids attending the Creative Clubhouse, because they are older now…read more But I was just looking up the phone number as I was referring a friend, and I saw that there was only 1 review and it was 3 stars, so I wanted to give another perspective. We LOVE the Creative Clubhouse. My 4th grade son still talks with great joy and fondness about his Kindergarten Enrichment days at the Clubhouse. The program was very robust and warm and well, creative. They went on field trips to parks and museums, they crafted, they studied, they built, they cooked, they hiked, they played, they made music, they really did it all. The staff was very intelligent and caring and the kids felt like they were all family within a very short time because of how the program was run and the activities that they did. It was totally enriching and fabulous and I wish I still lived close by so that our younger child could have that same amazing experience to round out the half day kindergarten that the district provides. I highly recommend!

The teacher that was there introduced herself and made me feel at ease for being a little late. Sadly She missed a day on my account. So I am not sure if the kids got to do their exploring and make art from what they found outside, the day she was out. She didn't have anything made from using objects from outside. That was the description of the camp activity. When I picked her up on her last day, there was a second teacher there waiting there. That teacher wasn't very warming when I was there and did not introduce herself. Though this same teacher was nice when my husband was there. So I guess I can't hold It against her. It felt like more like a normal daycare then summer camp. I wasn't looking for a daycare service. Unfortunately she will not be attending again.

My oldest has been here almost 3 years and my 2nd almost 1 year, both African American. As a single mother dropping my children off has been one less worry. Even during interviewing for better opportunities and running late on public transportation sending messages through their app provided made me feel at ease. Always getting a response and a simple take your time or no rush. When picking up my children its always hard to get them to leave. As the school is not only a classroom setting but have individual spaces for free play, a library, room for movies and basically an indoor gym. I like their concept here because if my children need a couple minutes to calm their energy the teachers allow for them to go to a more intimate space to still learn but also gather themselves. When I arrive at the school the owner or teacher at the time is always graceful in how they communicate the day. I do appreciate this very much here at the school. My kids always want to go back. Even out of school and we are close by they mention their school. Oh! They provide detailed reports on your child's progress and future planning for continued success as well. All teachers are hands on. Even if a teacher works with their individual group he/she will step in to assist. Its good to see that because our children are not perfect everyday. I like to see how the teachers will respond if I am not around. I like their style here. If you want your kids busy, doing hands on projects then you are at the right place. Holiday season is my favorite. The hold a lot of potlucks where I have friended many other parents. A few who are my good friends now. We do play dates out of school. Another favorite is when I get to buy my kids art. Even if all i have is a quarter(you get the point) just a fun activity. Also bringing in guest speakers, local field trips. They are creative in getting everyone involved. If you are a introverted parent that may change. You will find yourself really opening up. Highly recommend!
