We ate breakfast basically every morning at the hotel and we enjoyed everything from the pancakes, granola, oat, avocado toast, teas, and coffees. For lunch and dinner we ate at Mezzanine, casa Maria, and also went outside of the national park down by the hotel zone. The massage was great, we booked ahead of time for the couples massage and really liked it. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Mi Amor, we felt safe and enjoyed our time there.

It's like a 5-10 minute walk downtown but downtown is pretty loud. This was close enough but just far away to be calm. ***ATMOSPHERE*** The inside is insane! It really feels like a 5 star resort. There are saunas, hot tubs, cold tubs, a zero entry beach-like pool that curves around surrounded by plants. There is a huge space downstairs that is covered and has a kitchen area, seating and hanging chairs. They have a pool on the roof and other amenities. The inside is so nicely decorated and the stairwells have an opening to outside and it's overall just super nice. Inside of the rooms is amazing! We were 3 in a 6 person suite so we paid like 28 USD each per night but had we been 6, the price would have been 14 USD a night per person over a holiday weekend! The room included keypad entry with code, then you open the front door to two more doors directly. One led to a bedroom with full bath and fridge and everything, the other led to a living room with pull out couch, with dining table, couch, full kitchen, a balcony with a private hot tub, bikes, and a half bath, and then off of that room there was a big bedroom with full bath. ***STAFF*** The staff was friendly and they helped us get in right away and everything was very smooth and instructions were simple. ***CONCLUSION*** Will definitely be back next time I'm in Tulum!

You do get charged fully upon check in which was interesting. Nonetheless, they were able to upgrade our room and we were able to check in early. The room was nice. We had great water pressure, room was extremely clean and we were given complimentary water. We headed up to the rooftop pool to grab a bite but they were out of most of food items and the drinks were way too sugary. That was disappointing and so was the view by the pool. The WiFi was also very spotty in the room. For dinner, we drove into the main strip aka downtown Tulum to dine at Parole Tulum and the experience in the downtown area was not fun. There were so many people and the amount of police and National guards that were around was so terrifying. It took us over 40 minutes to get back to Aloft because the police closed the main road and we had to use a different way that had the most pot holes I've ever seen. After a quick reflection, we decided to check out early of Aloft and leave Tulum all together. My spirit wasn't sitting right with the experience and it was time to go. Aloft accommodated the early departure which I truly appreciated.

We stayed well past dark. The architecture alone is worth the trip.. there is this wild underground-but-above-ground tunnel situation you really just have to see for yourself. I didn't make it to the restaurant (Kin Toh) this time, but it is at the top of my list for the next trip. Tip: get there early for the best seats.

When I got to the entrance, the woman working there (Joanna) was unbelievably rude. I explained that we already had reservations and just needed five minutes to see where to set up the surprise. She flat-out refused and said I'd have to pay 8,000 pesos just to look. I asked for a manager, but she said the manager agreed I couldn't go up. She said the place is like the pictures online and I could decide from that. After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, she finally let me in -- and I was in and out in under 3 minutes. Thankfully, Juno upstairs was wonderful and actually helpful (the only positive part of this whole story). Fast-forward to the night of the proposal: Joanna, who knew it was supposed to be a surprise, asked in front of everyone, "Is this for the engagement party?" -- completely ruining it. Her apology didn't even sound genuine. The service after that was awful. We asked for the ahumador contra mosquitos they use at the tables, and no one brought it until we asked again and they brought it as we were closing out. The wait staff basically disappeared once they realized we weren't ordering food. We still met the minimum spend and even bought bottles, but it was the worst "special occasion" experience I've ever had. The place is gorgeous in photos -- but don't let that fool you. Between rude staff, bad energy, and zero hospitality, it's just not worth it.

Their property couldn't be any more charming and into natural beauty and healing. I visited both swimming pools. Very relaxing. One has hammocks over the pool. I stayed in the female only shared dorms. Very comfortable. Everyone is there trying to improve themselves and learn new techniques to move forward in life. Everyone on their staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part is you don't have to spend a fortune to help yourself in numerous ways. I highly recommend this place. The…read morehotel is nestled in a construction zone and makes it sort of difficult to find as the entrance is now only an exit and cannot find on google maps. We were able to put the entrance of the archeological zone in the gps and go through that way. Once we found it once we were able to easily go in and out. We had a car rental which I highly recommend. As soon as we got to the hotel we were warmly greeted and checked in. We got much needed welcome drinks and shown to our hut. We loved our little hut, we had three of us comfortably in the two double bed hut. The AC is only from 6pm to 9am but can text the staff on what's app to turn on outside of that window. The AC was very cooling at night but wasn't much of a benefit while getting ready around 5pm. We were there in May 2023 and ended up putting our hair up and wearing minimal makeup. The hotel itself didn't have a ton going on since it was low season but we didn't mind, it was nice and quiet most of the time. The beach front restaurant was a great first night meal. We ordered the whole fish that was flavorful but full of bones. The guacamole was delicious. All of the staff is amazing and super responsive. I've never stayed anywhere where the staff was that responsive to everything we needed. They were also super helpful in getting us set up for the things we wanted to do. We went over to the sister hotel Ahau for yoga and a beach day which was so amazing. The seaweed is a huge issue here and the beach in front of the Pescadores was not swimmable. But we rented bikes and rode over to Ahau where it was definitely swimmable and had a great time. We were only woken up by the construction one morning and able to take naps later that day. This hotel is off the beaten path and you definitely need a car to get around as the taxi prices are outrageous. There are some really cool restaurants within walking distance too and we walked along the beach on our way back. Overall this was such a great place with amazing staff, Alex took great care of us. The price in my opinion was great and I would highly recommend. And they deliver you coffee to your porch in the morning! Doesn't get better!

I'm 100% a beach person & this spot has to be in my top 5 EVER. It's really that great. The tiki cottages are the epitome of tropical paradise with all the creature comforts you could possibly need including AC. A little rustic but stylish, Bohemian chic, simplistic, yet romantic & very cool. What's even more incredible is the staff. The staff is BOMB. They are so sweet but so professional. Just totally cool, upbeat happy people that make you feel like family. Very very special staff at this place. Hanging in this drop dead gorgeous place it's impossible not to be in a good mood. It's not the kind of place that has super brand new modern floating sinks in the bath, super lux marble tile surround, chandeliers & that kind of urban upscale city stuff. It's nothing like that. If that is what you want this is not your groove. If you like a rustic tiki hut style, a natural tropical ambiance, in a romantic setting with super comfortable beds, incredible local food & the most incredible friendly staff, your paradise awaits. You can walk around this whole place barefoot in the super soft white sand. It's like your on your own little island. The sand is so WHITE, soft & luxurious! The extra touches at night like all the candlelight & the little galvanized tubs of water to wash your feet when you come & go from the restaurant are extra cool. I tried hard & racked my brain to come up with something that was bad here & the only thing I could possibly think to improve is the water pressure of the outdoor shower by the beach. And it was still not bad! Please don't stay here bc I want to be able to get reservations, often. Ha ha ha. I can't wait to return. This place is perfection.

LiveTulum is located in a great spot in Tulum, the hotel is literally 1 block away from the main road where all the restaurants, cafes, bars and chilled local spots are. Also, you can rent a bike from the hotel and make your way around town and the beach. Or take a cab like I did or do a lot of walking. There is a pool in the hotel that lights ups in the night, very fancy and enjoyable. My room was spacious and clean. Simple and joyful. Each room comes with a balcony which is lovely. There is a TV in the room but no cable...however you can bring your USB port and plug it in. They also have an AC but if you open the balcony door you can enjoy the breeze that's what I did. Also they have a mini fridge and a safety box. I'd recommend going to the Super Aki market which is a block away and get snacks from there and stack up your fridge since restaurants closes at 10PM because of Covid's curfew. I'd love to stay here again in the future. Awesome place and the folks at the front desk were really nice.

Everything was perfect: the aesthetic, location, landscaping, staff, breakfast, room cleanings, and the pool. We read reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor and were still blown away by the service! You can tell it's privately owned and cared for. Front desk is staffed all the time and employs the nicest people (sorry I can't remember the names but the morning lady and evening guy were fantastic). There is even an enthusiastic English-speaking "concierge" named Wendy who is around during breakfast and can help those who do not know Spanish find things to do around Tulum! Breakfast was hot, plentiful, and very good. Fresh tropical fruit, OJ, juices, coffee, eggs, beans, rice, pancakes, assorted breads, cereals, butter, jam....you get the picture. You also get to sit in a nice little breakfast spot among their beautiful landscaping. There are a number of different rooms styles. Daily housekeeping was FANTASTIC! Some have a kitchenette and some do not. Shower heads were a little worn but had GREAT water pressure. My fiance didn't like the shower but I liked it. Some will like the large waterfall spray-type shower and some won't. Drain was slow in our room as well. Make sure you confirm your room type. It's a little confusing on the website about what you will get. We were happy with our 3rd floor suite but wish we had a swim-up. Bottom floor rooms have a swim-up entrance from the pool. You can ask to upgrade at any time if you want if they have space. Our price for the entire stay was very fair. Make sure you tip the breakfast and cleaning staff. They wholly deserve it. As other reviews have said the hotel provides free bikes and bike locks during your trip which only requires a refundable deposit to use. The location of LiveTulum was perfect to bike down to the beaches (bike trail!) and around downtown. Very close to grocery and pharmacy stores. There was even an ATM outside for quick withdrawals before a night out. A lot of people seem to be complaining about the construction. It is true, they are building a large hotel behind the property and it got noisy during the day. Tulum is seeing a lot of growth overall and there is construction everywhere. It did get noisy during the day. However, it's not during quiet hours and why would you want to sit in your room all day anyway!?! The owner can't control the noise and we didn't feel duped or anything. It was great to see how much construction was going on, Tulum is going to be very different in a few years. We will be back!
