They drew me with that couture frock in the display window. It's a strapless number, with my favorite construction in fashion: the bustle. If I had a spare chunk of change, it would be in my closet right now. There isn't much to this end at Posh, though. Think more along the lines of labels that have clothes made in China (I know, I know... it's a lost cause to complain). That said, if you can get past this, they have a well-arranged delightful array of clothing to suit just about any style, with a concentration on young and trendy... and a leaning towards slightly conservative (nothing that I'd call head turners, besides that piece in the window). Perfect stuff for work, too. Then there's the shoes and accessories. I could easily spend an hour in here. Also, I have to mention that the sales staff is incredibly nice! One guy even complimented me on my style (nice to hear on a day when you feel like you look kind of meh). Another star for the sales. Head to the back and be prepared to have your mind blown a bit with the sheer volume of items. Just did a quick walkthrough of this place, while I didn't buy anything the place itself is really cool and has it's fair share of higher end clothing. The place has a cool vibe to it, including a pretty sweet display of CDs in the corner (see photos). The stock the usual selection of high end jeans and I specifically noticed some Diesel jeans running around the $250 mark so definitely not the cheapest of places to buy clothing. My sister was impressed with their selection of clothing and I can imagine her spending more time there than we allowed her to spend today :) If I was in the neighborhood again and felt like splurging on clothes I'd definitely check this place out. read more

Posh Shoes is a hip little shoe store located in Hillsboro village. It is a small little shop but they display all their shoes and bags lovingly. They have a good selection of shoe brands! Some include Oh Dear!, Jeffery Campbell, and Frye brand shoes. They also have a pretty good rotation of shoes, you can always find something good in the sale section if the season is changing. They have sale items all year, but go when they are switching seasons and you will find several styles marked down. They have a good selection of men's sneakers, boots, and casual shoes. They carry Puma, and Lacoste styles in addition to a few others. The men's styles can get marked down quit a bit as the season moves, I once bought a pair of boots for my hubby that were about 70% off the original price. That is always exciting to get a great deal. And you can actually get something you would want at Posh shoes. Posh shoes has a nice sofa lounge in the front of the store with a sexy looking sofa where you can sit and try to decide which pair of shoes to buy. The Posh shoe store is located next door to their sister store Posh Clothing, but I really prefer the shoe store. I can never seem to find anything I actually want to buy at Posh clothing, it is all overpriced, and not very exciting. I feel better paying money for a good pair of shoes because I will always get more use out of them than an overpriced smock. read more

I'm visiting Nashville for the first time in 15 years. I had an important dinner meeting and this was the only place I had time to shop at prior to the meeting. From the moment I walked in I felt degraded. The staff just stared at me like I didn't belong there. One woman physically followed me around in the store for nearly 45 minutes. She asked me to let her hold my belongings every few minutes. I'd go to pick up an item and she'd stand behind me looking over my shoulder. The other employees laughed and encouraged her. I had about $1500 worth of clothing I wanted to buy. But I put everything back and only left with the essentials because I couldn't bring myself to spend excess money at an establishment that racially profiled customers. Still, after spending $500 I feel terrible about my purchase because anytime I reach for the items I think about this dehumanizing experience. Their customer service is just as outdated as their clothes. Don't shop here. read more

Prissy pretentious overpriced designer boutique. Ya, the clothes and shoes are nice, but they're nothing I can't find somewhere else with a wider selection of that brand and for cheaper. The service was poor as well. The employees were pretty occupied chatting with friends who had come into the store and were otherwise disinterested in greeting customers. Seems like a place where the employees work there there so that they can spend their paycheck on a flashy Posh wardrobe There did appear to be an extensive sale room in the back worth digging through if you have the time and patience. read more

Sooo is anyone really not going to mention the fact that these guys seriously have one of the worst dressing rooms in town? Really?! Not only is it poorly lit, hot, and cave-like...they have NO MIRRORS IN THEM. Yes, no mirrors, whatsoever. Just one or two communal ones, which makes every dress trying-on experience pretty uncomfortable. Beyond the silly dressing rooms, the place is a bit pricey for a the quality of clothes they have--I have on more than one occasion tried on something that's already stained and/or had a broken zipper. They also carry almost nothing in a large, which if you have boobs can be kinda a deal breaker... Two big perks of the place I will admit though is their big ol' sales section (!) and they have super cute accessories that aren't so overpriced. read more

So apparently I visited Posh on the wrong day because there were not $9 suede boots like the ones Caitlin D snagged...lucky gal. I didn't happen to snag any shoes, but that's probably because I didn't save any room in my suitcase for yet another pair of shoes...even shoes as cool and funky as the ones at Posh. So my band played a little in-store fashion/rock show at Posh on Saturday, and I now feel moved to review the store based on my experience. I can go ahead and tell you that, had my band not played there, I probably would never have set foot in Posh. It just ain't my scene. Regardless, Posh seemed to have an enormous selection, at least when it comes to women's clothes. As far as men's, I couldn't really find anything that I'd be interested in purchasing. The men's jeans I did see that were somewhat intriguing tended to be well over $100, which (though it may be perfectly common) strikes me as perfectly absurd. The store itself is pretty cool, and if Saturday was any sign of the type of events they have on a regular basis, I'm pretty impressed. Though there wasn't a huge turnout for the music/models, Posh offered free food and margaritas (!) as well as discounts for all the bands that played. I thought it was a pretty neat event, even if it was a strange intersection of rock and fashion (not exactly my cup of tea). Anyhow, if I was a female I bet I'd shop at Posh all the time. They have lots and lots of clothes, and I'm sure there are some bargains in there somewhere. Oh! And I nearly forgot...the coolest aspect of Posh is the little atrium out back. I'm not sure if everyone gets access to it or just employees/musicians/models, but it was an extremely cool little area to hang out and enjoy the weather. After leaving Pangaea, I spotted Posh and headed right in! I love the layout of the store: newer clothes are in front with a huge clearance room in back. The clothes are on-trend and, for the most part, affordable. I purchased a blouse for $59 (my "splurge" purchase in Nashville). I'm all in when it comes to perfect fits, quality fabric and bright colors. 3-4 other items caught my eye, but like other boutiques, sizes were limited and I didn't have the opportunity to try on as many items as I liked. That's probably a good thing though, I don't think my husband would've been thrilled that I blew our vacation budget in one afternoon. There's also a large sofa in the shoe/accessory area. This is a great spot for men to lounge and check the sports scores. The employees were also really nice and not at all stuffy like others mentioned. I think I was a bit intimidated by their stylishness and confidence, but the staff was a heck of a lot nicer than anyone I've encountered in Chicago boutiques. Overall, the style of Posh reminded me of Forever 21 but with better designers and well-made garments that won't fall apart or fit oddly. read more

The first thing to say about Posh is that it is primarily preppy casual style, you won't really find rockstar or urban in here. As was said by other reviewers, they do have GREAT sales when they do have sales. Now I speak from the perspective of shopping for men's clothing there. Posh does have a variety of brands, but many of the brands are the same as you would find in other boutiques everywhere though they can be appreciated in Nashville where it gives more choices out of those brands. They have Ben Sherman which is in several other boutiques, they do carry a lot of Modern Amusement though which I may not have noticed as much at the other boutiques. These are two brands I tend to notice a lot of there. They do run out of sizes quickly which is sort of unfortunate, I wish they would order more in certain styles. Overall though it is a great boutique if your looking for preppy clothing. read more

Come bearing large amounts of energy and a high limit credit card. Unfortunately by the time we arrived at Posh we had been shopping and walking around for hours and I was pooped. Too pooped in fact to look through rack after rack of cute designer clothes. Even too tired to try on cute shoes at the their shoe store next store- well I would have braved it if the darling shoes I saw on the clearance rack were larger than a size 6.5 or smaller than a 10. But my friends got a few things, dresses and some crazy cheap jewelry. All in all it is a nice little boutique probably like many other pricey boutiques in other cities. read more

The customer service/hospitality was nonexistent for my visit here. I had seen a cool jacket in the window as we were passing by after eating at one of the nearby restaurants Sunday afternoon and I thought I'd drop in the next day to check it out. I know the adequateness of the price you pay for clothes is subjective and has nothing to do with this 1 star rating, but for guys who want to know the jacket in the window (Diesel-Thin/Lightweight leather jacket) was something over $700 and a pair of jeans in here will run you typically over 250 dollars (Brands: G star, Hudson, J Brand) As I entered there were about what seemed like 5 or so employees at the checkout desk, I say "seemed" because you wouldn't know that they worked by how they reacted once I came in. Not one greeting, or even a flinch. The most I remember hearing was some of them not knowing if they were hungry or not. Mind you I was the only customer in the store at the time I came in. But about two minutes later a man and a woman walk in, get the same treatment. You can't exactly know when you're being profiled or judged, but you can sure feel like it. When you're surrounded my expensive clothes and a staff that doesn't seem to care how you're doing or if you need any help, how else is that supposed to make someone feel besides bad? I can't imagine the employees were trained to not acknowledge customers, but when they all collectively do that, at a very slow time of the day, you have a major problem somewhere. Upscale store/part of Nashville or not, you can't have your business being ran like this. read more

Posh was the first place I made a clothing purchase and I was instantly hooked :) They have great clothes, shoes and accessories and even better they have a great staff (Chance is the best)!! I always mean to visit Posh more because they have a huge sale section in the back, and stock some unique items. The clothes are cute, I adore the shoes, and my main complaint would be the prices. Most of the stuff there is out of my affordable range, so I leave seeing a ton of cute stuff that i don't have the money to buy :P And sometimes I just refuse to pay THAT much for a shirt. Haha. I'm such a cheap-o. The staff today was super friendly. The guy who helped me out started a room for me and checked back to see if I needed anything in different sizes. Customer service, to me, is equally as important as what the business sells, so I appreciated that. It makes you feel better about the shopping experience when the staff is happy. I could spend a really long time in there just looking at stuff. Like I said, the sale section is huge, so go in there when you have time on your hands and are really in the mood to shop. Posh is one of those stores I often pass just because the majority of the clothing is out of my price range. But even when I'm in the mood for a splurge some of the garments are a bit too trendy for my taste. I find that a lot of the clothes are either too plain and sold just for the label, or that they are way more runway concept than real world. I like my clothes to land somewhere in between. Every once in a while though they put something in the window that makes me whimper with desire every time I pass. Last fall there was this grey dress with a yellow bag about which I still fantasize. I appreciate that Posh tries to keep Nashville fashion-forward. If I ever have the expendable income I will definitely up the frequency of my visits. read more

I think Posh is the most perfect name for this place, because like the word it has both its positive and negative attributes. On one hand it brings the more fashionable city trends to Nashville. On the pricey end, if you are looking for something different and chic this in one of the few places that offers just that. On the other hand, I find the place a little pretentious. I will say, however, that I have found some really unique and fashionable garments here that I would have bought in a second if I were in the mood to splurge. Like Robin S. said, I would give this place 3.5 stars because it has a good variety of urban forward fashion, but just does not fit my style or my wallet. read more

Posh has a good selection of cute, pretty, and interesting shoes, but they carry a lot of semi-expensive ones that are geared towards college girls going out for a night on the town, i.e. tall uncomfortable heels, or they just aren't worth the price - i.e. they have those cheap, plastic soles that are like death traps on our feet. Plus, every time I do find cute, affordable shoes with real soles, they never have my size. I have stopped shopping here because it's so frustrating, which is sad because they have a pretty wide range of styles and prices. However, they do have cute purses and one size fits all! The jewelry, though is not very thought out and not that great. For such a fun, trendy shop their lack of inspiration in the jewelry department is very disappointing and surprising. Their clothes have the same characteristics as their shoes - too dressy and trendy for me, or too expensive and cheaply made, or just too expensive period. I definitely go straight to the sale racks when I stop in, and I have found some cute stuff at good prices there. They must be doing well, though, because they're opening a new location in Green Hills. read more

I am in love with the shoe store attached because today I found a pair of tall, brown suede boots for NINE dollars. Let me reiterate, $9!!!!! Amazing, no? It's because I have child sized feet and these were the last pair, had to go! So needless to say, I am a BIG fan. I hear the other reviewer's complaints about prices overall, but once on sale, this place goes cheap. The selection reminds me of my favorite shoe store on Haight street in San Fran, funky/cute/classy/crazy all together in one shop. Again--wish Yelp allowed half stars! Three and a half for Posh in Hillsboro Village. Cool shop--most things are just way overpriced. I do love walking through though, and I make sure I go about twice a month to check out their new stuff. Lots of knit stuff--which is one reason they are a little overpriced. You can find a lot of these kinds of clothes at Target for a whole lot less money. But I love the clothes anyway. And, often succomb to the pleasure of just buying something because it's fabulous, despite the practicality or price. I'm sure I'm the type of person Posh loves! Otherwise known as a sucker. Posh is very aptly named. I don't think Nashville is flashy enough for the clothes found here. Beautiful things, they are just very, very urban. They have fun shirts with a lot of flare to them, but it's not me. I'd feel kinda silly out in sequins in Nashville, but hey - to each his own! Be prepared to pay top dollar. The dresses are always short and low cut and more of club dresses, though high end. Then they have the other end of the spectrum, T-shirts and basic skirts, just add a "0" to what you think you'll pay for it, and that's the price it's marked. I had just flown in from California and realized that I didn't pack a single pair of pants and only had time to stop into one place before everything closed so I chanced it and came to Posh Boutique. I was pleasantly surprised to find my go to brand of jeans, Paige, as well as other great brands like Hudson and J Brand. The shop was very clean and everyone was wearing masks. Lindsay was so helpful and kind as I frantically rummaged through their lovely displays. She so helpfully walked me through the store and brought out plenty of suggestions. She never let me carry more than a pair or two before running them and my own personal belongings to the fitting room. The size selections were relatively slim, though during a pandemic that's to be expected. I didn't actually find a pair in my size, but ended up purchasing a larger pair, simply because the staff was so lovely. They let me wear them out and rang them up while I was wearing them. Posh is an amazing search-n-find boutique in the uber-cool Hillsboro Village of Nashville. The store caters equally to both genders and is constantly updating styles. Posh is definitely for the trend seekers who are willing to spend a little on quality pieces but take note that there are always many items on sale. As a male, I loved their jeans selection (especially the sale rack), it is rare that I can go into a store and vóila! the first pair of pants fit me! At times however, the styles can be a little much for the more classic styled shoppers and often an entire line will have the same over-arching look. All in all, Posh is a unique find in a perfect location. read more

My parents picked out and bought me the cutest dress from POSH for my birthday. The first day I wore it, the zipper broke. I took it in to see if they could fix it and they told me they had a seamstress who worked at the store and would see if she could fix it, if not, they would give me 10% back from the dress (which would be about $3...) They called me back saying their seamstress COULD fix it, but it would be a few weeks. I said that was totally fine, I'd rather have them fix it than get the $3. Five minutes later they called back and told me they wouldn't fix it for free. She kept going on and on about how I didn't have the tags or receipt and I told her I could get both from my parents, then she told me it wouldn't matter anyway. So I was kind of confused by that. I'm just really frustrated with this store. They sold my parents a dress with a faulty zipper and even though it's an easy and cheap fix, they should stand by their products so that customers can shop with confidence. I wore the dress once and had it in my possession for only a week (which they could see on the computer). They have really cute clothes, but I won't ever shop there again for fear that whatever I purchased would fall apart. read more
