I have gone to posh over the years and usually have a fine experience. I got home today only to realize how unfortunate my pedicure turnt out. The lady was very nice but i specifically asked for my toes not to be cut short and right away she cut them FAR lower than wanted. At that point there was nothing I could do but I continued to explain I get ingrown on both big toes so to please be cautious as I can't have them short. When I noticed the big toe at that point there was nothing I could do and I do believe she noticed as she just kept looking up to see if I was looking. Again she was very nice but not at all what I wanted and I am rather embarrassed to have them seen. My toe is cut down so much it's already uncomfortable to have my sneaker on. Very sad to say the least as this is my local spot and she was kind. read more

Edit: manager replied. The man who did my nails did NOT inform me of an added charge for gel pedicure. I was informed of the price increase only when going up to pay. Also, $20 extra for gel on my toes?? If I had been informed beforehand I would NOT have done a gel pedicure. There are much more affordable options with a much larger selection of colors anywhere else. Save your money. Awful service, they made me pay 50$ for a GEL fill-in. People there are sneaky trying to change their prices. IT IS NOT WORTH ANYONES MONEY. read more

I have been going here for a few years and getting Acrylic nails. The nails only end up lasting one week. Why? Because there is no nail prep. They barely buff each finger. For the 65$ you pay each time you'd think there would be nail prep... Nope. Almost every time there has been little hairs under the topcoat, that starts chipping 2 days later. The people are amazing and so kind, the nail prep is not. Very nice art results, just not lasting nails. read more

Unprofessional! Every time I have an appointment with Hahn for brows, she is always answering calls and texting. Yet, when I try to make an appointment with her, I have to text her multiple times before I receive a response. Obviously, it is clear to me she doesn't want me as a customer. But, the worst thing is she cuts too much of my brow, and more recently, it has looked sparse. Many people have made comments to me on my brows at the hair salon I go to weekly and they have been telling me to go elsewhere. After this past Friday, not only was I unhappy with my brows, but the unprofessionalism. I am done with this Salon. I do not recommend this Salon as I know they are losing customers on a regular basis and now they can add me to this list. Obsessed with my yumi lash lift like seriously, where has this been all my life!? As a blonde with light, long and straight lashes, I have always been reliant on mascara every time I would leave my house! I didn't want to get lash extensions based off of some research and asking friends to hear that if you don't maintain them it can be definitely damaging to your lashes. So I stumbled upon this salon (you actually get them done at Luxe Beauty Inc) and saw the yumi lash lift and read how they use a keratin treatment which naturally lifts your lashes from the roof and doesn't use a harmful perm solution like most regular lifts do. AND it lasts around 8-10 weeks for only $150. HELLLOO!! Since my yumi lash lift, I have been so much more confident in wearing 0 makeup and just feel so happy now that Hannah (the lash gal) has given my lashes their fullest potential! *you can't get them wet for 48 hours, so no crying ladies!!!!! **i also purchased the lash primer that's around $60 I believe that I wear every day to hydrate them and make sure they lash long, while also giving them an extra UMPH! read more

I had an incredible experience today! I went to a salon a few weeks ago in hopes to get the a full set with dip - well, I got it but it was awful. My nails were heavy, thick, not manicured and poorly shaped. I just sucked it up for a week and a half and decided to try somewhere else. I decided to call Posh Nails for an appointment and I'm so happy. My nails look great not to mention natural. I absolutely recommend this place - I wish I got the woman's name that worked on me she took her time, gave me what I wanted and I left with he biggest smile on my face. Very nice and clean salon conveniently located off of Lowell Street. I received quick and thorough service for my gel manicure and I hope to go back for a much-needed pedicure soon. The price for a gel removal and new application was only $30, which is less than I normally pay but I received equally high quality service. Also, they were extremely accommodating when I did not have cash for tip, as I am visiting from out of town Overall, I think I've found my new nail salon for when I'm here in town visiting family. read more

Posh Nails is a small, unassuming nail salon down a street only locals travel - but it's worth a stop. This place is beautifully decorated and surprisingly large (6 pedicure and manicure spots) but still has that hometown feel. I upgraded from the regular spa pedicure ($30) to a (I think) deluxe pedicure ($35) and it was worth it just for the hot towels and extra leg massage. My gel manicure looks good a week later. I decided to try a new place after hearing good things about it. The place was nice and clean and they took appointment on time; however, I'm not impressed with gel manicure and won't be returning. After only two days it chipped on one nail and all nails are bumpy and have lines in the polish. I have been getting my nails done for a while and this has never happened before! Now not even a week later I have these white bumps on almost all my nails and more than half have chipped. I won't be returning. read more

I think Sarah is great she does a great job. BUT the man who owns this store is to be quite honest unprofessional and rude. I had rescheduled for 2 weeks out at the end of my last appointment. So I called and asked if I could possibly change it to a different date and time. They said that was fine so I arrived at my appointment and walked in 15 minutes early and was greeted and sat down. A few moments later they asked if I could come soak off my shellac and I stated that I got dip last time I was there. The gentleman said "you should have let us know... " And I said let you know what? And he said what you were getting done. So I had said when I rescheduled I figured you knew I was getting the same service ?? And he replied with "I can't remember ever client and what service they get".. ok I let Tha.t go whatever. Sarah started my nails , and at the end they said 45$ .. but last time had paid $40 so I asked why it was different this time when I had it done the first time. THEY CHARGE YOU TO TAKE OFF WHAT THEY PUT ON YOUR NAILS THE PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT !!! To me Tha.t is absolutely ridiculous because to take dip off they soak your nail in acetone for 5 min and wipe it off ... to me Tha.t is so shady and nowhere does it tell you Tha.t you are being charged for that Omg I died laughing when they told me. Everyone I know who goes here loves it, but every time I get my nails done here I am angry after. I have a regular salon but it's far from home and I don't always want to drive there. This place is clean and had good reviews so I figured I'd come here because it's closer. Many times I've tried and give them the benefit of the doubt, like really tried to like it here, they seem to mess up my nails every time. First time I got gel here it lasted 3 days before every nail started peeling. I went back and told them and they tried to charge me again to redo it because my "nails were weak" which is "why it didn't last" even though I've never had a problem. Next time I go in I get a simple manicure, which looked nice but they barely cleaned up my nails. Then the last time I've gone and now won't be back was to get a pedicure the girl was rude, rough, and there was still dead skin on my feet afterwards (same girl who did the manicure previously). Like I said everyone I know is pleased with their nails after and they do look good but I have not had that luck. Definitely not the place for me. read more

A friend had recommended me to try this place out. It's very nice inside but I did not receive a warm welcome at all. There was a woman doing nails who looked at me like I didn't belong there very poor customer. I've worked in the customer service industry for over ten years that's not how you treat a customer...ever! The woman who did my toes Sara did an amazing massage during my pedicure but the rest was ok nothing I would return for. My nails weren't filed even and Sara seemed like she would rather be doing anything else. To be honest even it was a great pedicure the coldness I felt is not a place I'll give my business to. While my toes were drying a customer that pulled up in a Mercedes was treated like a customer should be upon entering an establishment. I would never go here again or recommend this place to anyone. The 3 stars is ONLY for the massage! I didn't know you needed a luxury car to get good treatment here. read more
