I have asked my Miss Libby to sit for a photograph by Mr. Matthew. I wanted something spicy I could take with me out on the plains. However, Miss Libby is just too shy to sit for a picture these days. She says she don't look as fetching as she used to now that she's a Ghost. Brian and Amanda really care about their craft and will not take pictures in certain weather, if the baby isn't having a good day etc as they are true professionals who care about their craft and not just about making a dollar. It's hard to find real photographers who care as much as they do who have mastered their craft. We have some amazing photos that we will be able to cherish forever and am grateful to have found them. This is a way overdue review due to Momming for the first time! But I am so happy I made the…read moredecision to hire Kristie to photograph the birth of my son last month. Such an important moment! I actually hired her not long before my due date and she was able to accommodate me which I am so grateful for. I was really bummed because my whole birthing experience was completely opposite of what I had on my birthplan! I went 9 days past my due date and was in the hospital for 36 hours before the arrival of my son. Kristie was amazing with her communication. I felt bad since we had to keep giving her the run around about when to show up at the hospital, but she kept up with connecting with my family to ensure she was there to capture the moment. After telling Kristie multiple times to hold off heading to the hospital, my doctor ordered a C-section and the baby would arrive in less than an hour! Everything was such a blur and went by so fast, so I am SO glad I decided to get birthing photos. Kristie was able to rush over and get there just in time to capture the most beautiful, candid, poignant moments... even though I had a C-section! The pictures came out so lovely, and she even made a sweet little video which she posted pretty immediately on Facebook. Every time I look at the pictures I can't help but cry. My only regret is I didn't get to spend hardly any time getting to know her since she was busy doing her thing, but I am excited to work with Kristie again to capture some more precious photos of my son as he grows. Seriously, she is the…read morereal deal, and if you knew how photo-phobic I am, you'd know that that statement is the most ringing endorsement a photographer can get! I am a writer and my first book (a YA novel) is coming out in the fall. I didn't want to include my pic on the book, but the publisher insisted. He also insisted on a professional pic. I chose Kelly after seeing her great Yelp reviews. And she has earned all the praise, and more! Even before I met her for the photo shoot, she was awesome-- kind, responsive, helpful, warm (and sometimes it's hard to be all that just over email). We ended up meeting at Overlook Park in GT for the shoot, and she encouraged me to bring an extra outfit if I wanted to change (b/c I got 2 different poses). Not only is she just as nice, warm, kind, gracious, and attentive in person, she is incredibly skilled as well. She put me at ease SO quickly (I was SO nervous, y'all!! I'm a writer b/c I want to stay hidden in my words...i don't want pics of me!), and before I knew it, I was actually having fun!! I couldn't believe it. That is a gift Kelly has, knowing what each person needs and then being able to adapt accordingly. I'm so grateful I met her. So the shoot was great, but then I got the proof gallery with SO many shots I loved (it was hard to select just 2, much to my amazement...I had thought I'd have trouble picking one b/c I typically hate pics of myself). So that process was awesome, and then she sent me the edited shots and I marveled at her great skill as an artist. Really, she has such an eye for the art of photography at every single level. I am so happy with the pics, and my publisher is too (and I've gotten compliments on them from others on social media, etc.). Yay and thank you, Kelly! I am telling all my writer friends about you, and you will be the only photographer I will ever call. I appreciate you sharing your talent with me and making something that could have been hugely stressful for me actually fun and productive, and leaving me with a product I really LOVE. We found Kelly online by accident and are so thrilled that we did! We met with Kelly to go over budget and our vision for our pictures at the beginning of the year. Not only did Kelly work with our budget but she drove down to Houston (where we live and work like crazy) to take our engagement pictures! She helped us with our unique vision for those pictures and the results were amazing! For our wedding Kelly came early and stayed late. She put up with the heat and got every shot we wanted, all by herself. She wrangled our family and friends and was friendly but professional the whole time. She worked well with our videographer, whom she had never met. WIthin 24 hours she had sneak peeks of our pictures up- and when I say sneak peeks, I mean 160 beautiful, perfect pictures ready to go! The rest are supposed to be ready within the month. I can't wait to see what she has for us!
