Got to try the glorious hypnagogic light and tour the welcoming art studio full of magical creativity. When Placed under the meditation light called Lucia No.3., I was told to keep my eyes closed while a colorful journey flashed before my face. The noise canceling headphones played calming music, which added a special touch. I flew to an island with pink & purple sunset to diamonds falling out of the sky. I was so relaxed and found it so interesting! Hope to do it again, and was inspired as an artist to re create the colors I saw onto canvas. Ask Eric to play the glass bowls, they are beautiful. There really aren't any words to justly describe Erik's work. He is a true healer in every sense if the word, both energetically and especially structure wise, physically. I came to Erik with lower back pain and shoulder tension after helping my for dog give birth to nine puppies. My body was really feeling it afterwards and my back was really hurting. In addition to that, I am in the gym 5 to 6 days a week lifting heavy weights, practicing Pilates and on the mats training martial arts. And I am also a body worker myself that has wrist and shoulder pain from having carpal tunnel (or so I have been told, I refuse to believe that personally) So needless to say, I was a bit of a mess, and my body really needed the work. I have been getting body work for over 20 years now, and this is truly some of the best work that I have ever received. Erik is so authentic, kind, warm, friendly and welcoming that you immediately feel at ease initially. And then he intuitively goes into your body just where it needs to go and does the work. He gently (but very firmly) releases the areas of tension one area at a time, unwinding and relaxing your entire body and the nervous system. It seems as though he is listening to your body, going in and responding to what it is telling him. My back, neck and shoulders as well as my entire body felt just amazing afterwards. I was also able to get in a killer workout and do an exercise with a kettle bell that I wasn't able to do before because of my wrist pain on both my wrists... Gone now. And I am still walking on air. I can't say enough great things about him and his work that would describe his level of intuition and skill as a body worker, and even more pleasant as a person. WOW! I will say this was well worth every penny I spent. I went for the full 90min to really get the most out of it. Erik really took the time (but not too much!) to get to know me and where my body hurts. I went in wanting my shoulders and back rubbed since that's where I feel most of my pain. Erik educated me on where the stiffness is actually coming from and what we were going to do to release it. I'm a very tense person, so he introduced me to the Lucid Light therapy. It allowed me to relax my mind and made releasing all my muscular tension much easier. it's been over 2 weeks and I still feel like my shoulder and back have so much less weight and tension. Erik's massages are in another realm. I've had lots of massage in my life from practitioners around the world, and I've never had one that's come close to one of Erik's. Saw Erik when I was in Austin for work a few years ago. I was having foot pain (plantar fasciitis) and was looking for an extended foot massage session. Erik worked out that it was related to something further up in my leg and we spent a lot of time working on that area which included me applying pressure against him holding my leg (a bit hard to describe) and it worked wonders! I tell everyone I know and also everyone I DONT know to go see Erik! For anything and everything that ails them! And I am a licensed massage therapist myself- so a great many of the folks I'm sending to him are my own CLIENTS! He is a force to be reckoned with. He understands anatomy in a way that is both technical and intuitive. His powerful, playful, contagious faith in the human spirit comes through in his expert, direct, INTENSE manipulation of soft tissue and the effect is unbelievable. On more than one occasion I have had an issue with my hands, wrists or forearms that I could not explain and thought might put me out of work for a long period of time, if not permanently. Doctors do nothing on these occasions except give pain killers and/or braces. Other massages helped some but not much. On all of these occasions, most recently - had a swollen pinky finger joint that I could not move without severe pain- had been soaking and working on myself for five days- and in one session, it was healed. I was able to work the next day and all weekend long! doing massage in a busy high end spa. I wish everyone could get a session with him. I would really love to live in a world like that!!!
