Short version: Ms Alicia Hunsaker Huggins, hair nail and pedi technician(not medical professional)…read moreleft chemical burns on my daughter's scalp. I not only sought medical attention for my child, this lady proceeded to tell me that it was just a common reaction and I should put coconut oil on it. Any idiot with basic first aid knowledge knows you don't put oil on a burn. She refuses to refund my daughter. Long version: My daughter and her friend both decided they wanted to try getting their hair done professionally. A little about myself: I've been coloring my own hair and family members for 40 years. I learned how to cut, color and perm hair , I also learned how to do acrylic and gel nails not only in school, but also worked with some very talented and knowledgeable beauticians. I always used quality products, I have always taken the upmost care. I not only had the talent, but I also have the knowledge. I also have basic first aid training, because let's face it shit happens! Unfortunately due to medical conditions I am no longer able to do everything anymore, and my daughter wanted to spoil herself a bit. Monday July 7th my daughter had an appointment at 10 am. Ms Alicia Hunsaker Huggins was her technician. Of course my daughter had an idea of what she wanted and she knew she was going to have to compromise a bit depending on the talent of the hairdresser. The bleaching process started at about 10:20 am, but the actual coloring process didn't start until 12:30 according to both of the girls. The appointment lasted 4 hours! The girls came home, both in disappointment over their hair, but they wanted to be nice. My daughter started complaining about discomfort and told me her scalp felt like it was burning. First things first, I rinsed her head in room temp water as doing so I found bleach behind her ear and I was rinsing a lot of chalky substance out of her hair. This concerned me... The cool water felt good on her scalp. I gave her Tylenol and Benadryl because that's what I was trained to do in the first aid when it comes to either chemical burns or allergies. The burning sensation in her scalp just got worse so a couple hours later I took her to the ER. There I was informed that she had a chemical burn and at that point I was livid. I waited for a few hours to calm down and contacted the technician that did my daughter's hair and let her know that we would like a refund because my daughter had chemical burns. Not only did she dismiss me. She asked for a picture My daughter has very thick very silky very beautiful hair because of how thick it is you can't see anything from the picture. I informed her that not only did I take her to a medical professional and I was informed that she had a chemical burn she dismissed me and told me it looked like a rash that my daughter just had a common reaction and that coconut oil should help. Anyone with basic first aid knowledge knows not to put oil on a burn!!! And if this were an allergic reaction oils not going to do s***....

New to town, called in to get my son's haircut. We agreed on a time. I showed up at agreed upon…read moretime. Wasn't greeted, wasn't acknowledged. When I finally got someone's attention, they gestured to a woman who appeared to be nearly finished with her client. We sat and watched as 5 other stylists finish up and huddle together clucking while we waited an additional 25 minutes. I swear, the original stylist was cutting hairs one by one. All I wanted was a 10 minute $10 haircut for a six year old, would it really so bad if another stylist took it? Needless to say, we got up and left. It was a real life lesson on poor customer service (and when to expect better) for my ankle biters.

Poor Business Practices 4 years of loyalty. $100s spent…read moreGood relationship with Stylists. Used and loved Lauren and Abby. Cuts were 65.00. Abby left. Salon referred me to Allison. No mention of that cut being $90.00 until checkout. Got home after 3 hour roundtrip and haircut was incorrect. Nicely called Salon, texted, sent pictures. Owner called and "we want you to be happy. We will refund your money and even pay another salon to fix it, or you can come back and we will refund and fix it free. Chose to comeback to Allison. Have receipt for $90.00 refund, screenshot of refund which pended in my account until he reversed it, and kept the money. Told me while she was cutting my hair that since "we can't make you happy" and he was refunding my 90.00 I was not to come back to the salon. I just saw where Allison is listed as partner and lead stylist. Haircut still not correct. Uneven, shaggy bottom. She was late for our 9:00 appointment. Not offered a beverage. She is nice and this is not a personal attack on Allison or the Salon. I simply called them and told them I wasn't happy with the haircut. Dishonest and ungrateful and abusive response to 2- 3 hour round trips (I live in Ocilla, Ga) and 4 years of loyalty and paying more money to them than other salons.

Interior of the salon has cool view bed and cozy feel. Shayla did a fab job bringing me back to a consistent color. (See prior hair review.) She chose a Fuller shampoo for my "not as thick as it used to " hair, then styled it out straight, sans a Brazilian Blowout. Reasonable pricing.lol and worth the drive for a relaxing, done-right hair treatment.
