First time client; giving them a shot because of the positive reviews and I haven't been happy w any of Westports DC's [specifically alterantions but also quality & customer service]. At 6:26pm on a Thursday I was able to: register as a client, drop off a tux, and confirm a 2" hem. If you didn't put that together....THEIR OPEN UNTIL 6:30PM! The gentleman -Richard- was very nice, accommodating, and focused more on service than showing me the door + locking up. They're located in the parking lot w. 'BOB'S Clothing' - if facing BOB's...to the right and in the corner. Turn around time is Wednesday (so 4 working days); felt like I could have asked for Tuesday but didn't require it. -(1) Tuxedo, dry-cleaned + pressed: $21 -(1) 2" Hem: $17 (this might have been higher than a "normal" hem cause the Tuxedo or a hem where the pants have only on material) -(1) heavily soiled shirt [sealed in my closet for a year for good measure lol]: $7.95 [normal DC + press is $2.50] Will follow up on the final product :) read more

I brought my $1000 suit to get pressed at Post Dry Cleaners. When I picked it up it was missing the Ted Baker pin. I noticed this right away while standing in the dry cleaners. I asked them where the pin went, and they tried to say that it wasn't on the suit when I brought it in. But it 100% was on the suit, I only wore the suit one time before bringing it to get dry cleaned, and the suit is always kept in a suit bag. The employee took down my phone number and had me send a photo showing what the pin looks like. I never heard back from them, so I called the next day (2/25/22). I was told that they did not find it and that next time I have to tell them if there is a "special" item on the suit. They also said that there is nothing they can do about the situation because they cannot find the pin. This is completely unacceptable! I didn't have the suit cleaned at this place, only pressed. Obviously they took the pin off to press the suit and lost it. I was told that the owner will be in NEXT Thursday and I have to wait until then for them to contact me. This place is very unprofessional and I strongly do not recommend Post Dry Cleaners. If they cannot handle a simple suit press and not loose your items, then they should not be in business. I don't understand how it is okay for a suit to be missing a pin that was dropped off with the pin on it. This isn't a cheap suit by any means, so I am very frustrated!! I would not trust this place washing a pair of socks, and advise to not use Post Dry Cleaners. I love how on there website they say "We treat our customers like family"... Clearly not because the owner never called me, and the employee said that the owner can discuss this next Thursday when they are in the store. read more

Recently, I forgot to pick up a suit before closing on the Saturday afternoon of Labor Day Weekend. I had a wedding the next day and the business was closed until Tuesday due to the holiday. I contacted Post Dry Cleaners on Yelp, and they responded to me right away. Even though it was after hours, Jennifer was very gracious and offered to meet me at the store within 15 minutes of my original message! I picked up the suit without issue and the weekend was saved. I'm done with this dry cleaner. I have been a customer for years. If a stain doesn't come out of a laundered shirt, they dry clean it and charge you for both services. I usually bring in large loads. They never offer to help you bring it to your car. They have signs now posted saying they prefer cash payments to credit card to avoid the extra fees they incur. But the final straw upon pickup today was the charge of $6.50 for a garment which turned out to be a pajama top which inadvertently got mixed in with the shirts and which I believe was charged for dry cleaning for being a special fabric. Hanes brand of pajamas. I would think after all the years of patronizing he would have been gracious enough to acknowledge this and refund me the $6.50. Nope. His response was how was he to know. He should go through his computer and see what we spend there on a given year and what we won't be now. read more

I figured I'd act like a grown up and get some of the clothes at the bottom of my closet altered. This isn't something I usually do but I'm over throwing away dresses that have been snagged at the seam or rompers with missing buttons. Post Dry Cleaners had solid reviews so I decided to give them a chance. It can be hard to find, since the place is basically hiding in plain sight. It's housed in the same building that holds a gas station mart on Fairfield's Post Road. I went during my lunch hour and was pleasantly surprised to find no other customers and a friendly woman sitting at a sewing machine. I handed over three items: a romper, a dress and a sweater. I was told the cost to alter the items would come to a total of $25. Two days later, they were back in my possession, good as new. read more

General dry cleaners practice is to staple piece of paper with identifying order number in a button hole unfortunately here they choose to write on your shirts with permanent black marker. They completely ruined 20 shirts. Priced quite high compared to other cleaners in the area. Do not recommend. read more

This a wonderful place. I lived in Fairfield for four years and moved back to Boston two years ago. I recently got a phone call from post dry cleaners saying that they had a few of my shirts for a long time. Searched for reasonably similar fabric, took it to Post Dry Cleaners where Jennifer said the alteration would be done by an expert seamstress. A few weeks ago, I stopped by Post Dry Cleaners while visiting a friend in Fairfield for his graduation, but the day before the ceremony, I realized a tear on the inseam of my pants. Where most places would not be able to accommodate such a quick turn around, I called up this place and the owner came into work for me on a Saturday!!
