I brought in the dress I wore to our daughter's wedding. It had a noticeable stain on it, but the dress was custom made and was silk, so I was very concerned that the treatment to get the stain out might result in the dress being ruined. Tenise helped guide me. The first cleaning application did not get the stain completely out. I did not want to sign a damage waiver for a more aggressive approach, so Tenise offered to try again to get the spot out without taking a more aggressive treatment. The stain came out! Thank you Tenise and Fabricare! This is not the first time Fabricare has worked its magic on a stain. A year or two ago, a bottle of red wine was knocked into my lap, and all over a white silk blouse. While I had little hope they could get the stain out, it came back as white as the day it was made - no sign of red wine anywhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I dropped off one white leather shoe that had a dye transfer. When I dropped off the shoe, they couldn't provide me with a quote, so I dropped off my shoe with a request to have a call before they treated it since my shoes are only worth about $250 and they've overcharged my family many times before. My receipt said my shoes would be available in a week. I called a week and a day later trying to figure out what was going on and the phone rang out 3 times. I went into the store to see what the deal was, and the woman let me know there was no pricing in the system and my shoe hasn't been started on yet. I told her that I would just like to have the shoe back and she told me I could pick it up another time. I'm so glad I took before pictures, the shoe has black scuffs all over and was extremely dented. If you care about your clothing, bring it somewhere else. Given all that, the woman attending the shop, Taniese was lovely and helpful. The owner/cleaner (?) Jeff will be hearing from me. read more

Since Covid started and I began working from home I have had little need for a dry cleaner. I was at a wedding recently and had 2 formal dresses that needed cleaning and asked a neighbor who she would recommend. She recommended Fabricare Cleaners, the location at 130 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT. The woman at the front with the big friendly smile is Tenise. What a warm welcome. I left my dresses and was planning on returning the following Thursday to pick them up. A couple of days later I got a call from Felix who said he had read the label on one of my dresses and it said NOT to dry clean it. I never knew you couldn't dry clean something. And I NEVER would have expected someone to read the label on the dress. He suggested 2 options and I left it up to him which to use. When I went to pick up the dresses, 1 was perfect and the one. (the one that couldn't be dry cleaned) still had a stain. Tenise said they were concerned about being too rough on the fabric. I said I couldn't wear it with the stain so even if it got ruined, they should try whatever to get the stain out. A week later I picked up the dress - - - it is perfect ! I was also told that keeping the dresses in the plastic garment bags I was using could cause moisture inside that could make stains form on the dresses. They suggested I use fabric bags. I went online looking for them and they cost over $20 each. I was happy to find out they sell them for $3.50. One of my dresses was a little too long for the bag and Tenise gave me a hanger that kept the dress hanging just a little higher so the dress fit in the bag. I think Fabricare may be the finest dry cleaner I have ever gone to. The wonderful people working there, the way they took care of my dresses, and the very fair prices. The store is very clean and the location is in a strip mall on Post Road in Fairfield with good parking. I was also surprised I got an email from Vanessa, the general manager welcoming me as a new customer and thanking me for choosing Fabricare and saying, "please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concern. " What dry cleaner or any service provider does that these days? This is a very special place and I am happy to do business with them. read more

I was a customer of Dogwood Cleaners which closed its doors this past Winter and they sold their business and customer list to Fabricare. Dogwood was amazing - the owner had a strong attention to detail and was very diligent about every item that passed through his shop. Not so for Fabricare -- I've been going here for a few months now and they've managed to do so many things wrong that I've now switched to a new cleaners. They stretched out three separate women's button down shirts to sizes that are unrecognizable and they're not fixable, so now I need to buy new shirts. On two different occasions, I walked out of the store with the person at the counter not being able to find one of my items and they had to deliver it later or on a different day. One of those times, I was the one who identified that something was missing and the person couldn't find any record of it and said -- 'I don't see anything in the system, you'll have to call the manager.' Between the damaged clothing and the terribly run service, I do not recommend. So disappointing!! read more

The BEST cleaners I have found in Fairfield County. Suits always arrive perfect, scorch free ( over pressing is a major problem with other cleaners ). Never a broken button on my shirts, as they request to be taken back to FabriCare. As an adjunct professor of Textiles at F.I.T. in NYC, I am very picky about the care of my garments. Caveat Emptor! Ask the price before you leave anything to be cleaned. I dropped off a plain sleeveless dress made of polyester and spandex, no special cleaning instructions and only worn once. Very shocked to be charged $38.50 when I picked up the dress today. Will definitely not be returning to this cleaners. read more

Always reliable, friendly, and prompt. And if something goes wrong, they'll make it right. I had a pair of trousers in for alterations and dry cleaning, they came back with these new, enormous stains. All hope was lost for these Canali babie, but they cleaned up fine. I thought It might be a good thing to try them since they are located next to my office. I dropped off 3 pair of work pants and 1 pair jeans to have the hems done. The girl at the counter could not tell me how much the seamstress would charge and she would call me later. She did. She quoted me $30.00 a pair. I told her she was to expensive and I would come back and pick up the pants. She back peddled and said $15.00 per per pair. I should have just picked them back up and taken them somewhere else. Three out of the four pairs is at least and inch to 2 inches to long. Since I pinned them up myself and dropped them off. I have no recourse. I will never do business with them again. Should have stuck to my regular place on Black Rock Turnpike. read more

Ridiculously expensive, even for the area. At least $4-5 more for suits than anywhere else and tailor cost for repairs are even worse. Close to $20 just to repair a zipper on a $40 pair of pants. read more

Though they advertise premium service, I must disagree with some of their claims. I've taken several suits there for their premium care service and had a bad experience recently. Pants got a scorched and I got the runaround from the owner. I am very disappointed and now have a $2000 suit with shiny pants. read more

I have recently starting taking my dry cleaning to Fabricare Cleaners after a break of a few years. I noticed the cleaners I was using stopped doing a good job. I have been extremely happy with Fabricare. My clothes come back cleaner and the service at the front counter is friendly and helpful. They even offered to sew on a button for free.
