Over a month ago, Classic Cleaners returned the wrong shirt to me. They then picked up the other customer's shirt from me, but never found my correct shirt. I called Penny several times and also visited the store. They repeatedLu asked for the shirt's description, which I told them was a Ralph Louren button down tattersall size large. The shirt cost over $100 and was relatively new. They still haven't found the shirt nor offered and compensation for the loss. Penny doesn't seemed to care, so I'm warning my neighbors and friends to stay far away from this "establishment." read more

I needed to dry clean my suit last Thursday for a wedding on Saturday. I am well aware that I forgot, should've done it sooner, and it's tough for places to expedite stuff if they don't have the bandwidth. I called around and not only was Classic Deluxe the only cleaner that said they could have it done for me by Friday morning, but they said even later that evening if I can pick it up! Great service and great price as well! I will definitely be coming here in the future to get my shirts done. I even offered to pay an extra fee to expedite it since I thought that would be the norm but the nice woman on the phone just asked if I could bring the suit in now for them to get started on it that that would be great. There's a lot of dry cleaners in Stamford and lots of options but classic deluxe great job and customer service definitely earned me as a customer (even though this is 10 minute drive from me and I live right next ti another cleaner lol!) I felt so welcomed and felt that any questions and/or concerns about my dress where met. The day of the wedding I felt beautiful and gorgeous thanks to Penny. Now, I don't normally don't use dry cleaning but the bridesmaids dress that sat of my closet with some stains (chocolate, alcohol) for the past two months were completely gone!!! I was shock!!! My go-to place to get things tailored! I had my best friends wedding AND my sisters wedding one week apart from each other. Both the dresses were very elaborate and required a ton of altering (I'm petite!). Penny was SO accommodating. They did an amazing job! I tried on one of the dresses when I got home and realized it was a little to big still. I called Penny and she got me in ASAP to fix it. 10/10 alternations. 10/10 customer service. They were gracious and understanding when I scheduled a pickup and forgot to leave it for them. I am furious!! I paid over 400 for a dress preservation box Because they said it would be sealed completely to stop air, light, etc from Damaging the dress over the time. That is completely the point. I finally took a look at the box - it's not even sealed!!!! You can completely open it and touch the dress! Of course air is going to get in there! I could have stuffed my dress in a box and taped it shut myself. I didn't need to pay for something like that! Nothing about it is "preserved"! On top of that, the "window" that she promised would look so nice is blue- and the dress is crooked inside. It looks like crap! Why the hell did I pay money for an unsealed box with my dress just stuffed in there. Would never recommend this place. What a scam! On top of that I called the owner to let her know it's not acceptable and I should be getting a refund, she kept putting me on hold instead of talking to me and was extremely rude! Refused to give me a refund for this crap box that she claims is "preserving" my dress when you can just open it and touch the dress easily by that's not preserving anything!! I'm furious! It's a normal box there's nothing special about it. She said "the cleaning is the preserving." What the hell? I didn't pay for just a cleaning! The owner also refused to explain how the dress is being preserved in this box. She kept saying the "cleaning is the preserving." I asked her how the Box is preserving the dress, not the cleaning. And she wouldn't give me an answer!!! She didn't know what to say and hung up on me instead of taking responsibility or even given a scientific explanation of how the box works, it seems she doesn't know how it works.. .So she had no answer as to how the Box that you Pay for is actually preserving the dress. She had no clue! Just repeated about the cleaning, but didn't explain how the box actually preserves it. Her husband is a liar as well as the first time I spoke to him he said it would be in an air tight sealed box. To block light and air. These people are scam artists. Brides stay away. read more

The WORST experience I've ever had getting a dress tailored. I picked the dress up 5 days before my sister's wedding without trying it on- stupid on my part. Upon getting the dress home, I saw the terrible mess that the tailor had created. Please see uploaded pictures- the dress had HUGE, GAPS of fabric and the top was crooked. The bottom had been cut and was also not done correctly. (The same length all the way around- not the way to hem a formal evening gown) I had to bring the dress elsewhere to be taken apart and fixed. The tailor said she could "try to fix it", but she just thought it was the dress design that was the problem. INSANE! Yes, I am petite and the dress was HUGE, but that is typically how bridesmaids dresses work- they have to be ordered WAY TOO BIG. I tried to call Penny 5+ times and stopped by to have a refund issued/show Penny the pictures- NO RESPONSE. I submitted a request via their website- NO RESPONSE. They were only willing to issue me a $15 refund- I paid $75 AND had to get it fixed elsewhere. I tried to call Penny numerous times to discuss and was told she would speak with the tailor and call me back- which never happened. 6 weeks later, I'm still waiting for the call. I hate to be negative about a local business, but I'm disgusted with the way they handle business. DO NOT GET ANYTHING TAILORED THERE. read more

Honestly the worst tailor in town!!! We brought my fiancés engagement photo dress there to be shortened, they proceeded to cut it way to short and ultimately ruin the dress! The stitching on the hem was uneven and poorly done. When we went back to have them fix it, they refused and said the reason it was too short was because of her body, not because they measured wrong!!!! The back is now shorter than the front and is crooked. If it was hemmed correctly it would not have been too short! We will never go back and NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They would not take responsibility for ruining the dress, they wouldn't even refund us our money. Poor customer service, rude and very bad onsite tailor! Don't go here! read more

Amazing cleaners, came from nj for a week to go to a wedding. After buying a new dress and having altered at the department store I bought it from I never tried it I'm after alterations thinking it would be fine. Thank god 2 days before wedding I tried my dress on. Everything was done wrong I immediately panicked and called my friend, which lives in Conn., she told me to bring it to classic cleaners and ask for Penny, she said she would accommodate me in my time crunch. When I arrived there, not only did they handle my alterations with precision but they were so nice and told me not to worry that my dress would be ready that evening. They actually put everything aside to handle "my emergency". I received so many compliments at the wedding about my dress and of course the way it fit me perfectly. I told everyone about classic. Affordable, clean, friendly, and accommodating . Penny if your reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart your cleaners is the best one out there!!!!
