I just reviewed and paid my final invoice after installation of a Victron 900 Ah capacity battery system and extensive re-work of the electrical system on my 45' vintage sailboat. Although the final amount was higher than their initial estimate, this was completely expected and acceptable because every add-on job was discussed with and approved by me in advance. Labor was recorded not by the job as-a-whole, but by each day separately, in order. Each entry noted that date, exact time spent, and a highly detailed description of that day's work. The time matched what I would have expected for the work. It was clear that time was recorded daily rather than hindsight reconstructed by memory when drafting the invoice, long after the work was done. Additionally, each part included the brand name, description, and model number. Wire and other parts were listed by size/type rather than collectively. Moreover, there were no time (labor) entries for a handful of phone calls, in-person on-boat pre-work examination and post-work instruction on equipment and systems, with Q & A. After working with the public my entire career, I've learned that you can't teach people how to care. Paul and Andrew absolutely do. Plus, they're just great guys. I'm thrilled with the quality of Heritage Marine Electric's work and would enthusiastically recommend them, regardless of how small--or large--the job. Took about one week to serve the entity, i text keith 4 times with zero response as to me getting said proof of service. Last time i asked by text was October 15th. He filled proof on the 16th. I asked why it took a month to file it, just 4 days before court date. and he responded with, does it matter? I then asked for a copy, he said he had to dig it up and would send via email to me. That he did do... but then he got nasty about it.. not professional at all. I was being polite up till then i had to block him as his messages got worse towards me. Never again.

This is my feedback on this project: - I'm not 110% satisfied. - Jim was a fantastic salesperson who helped me articulate what I wanted for the sign. - I am disappointed in the handoff from Jim to the production process. I didn't get proactive communication about the project plan, timeline, and status. I had to send follow up emails several times to check in on the process because I didn't get any proactive communication from the project engineer. - I'm very disappointed with the thickness of the backing for the neon. The production / project engineer team knew it was going to be flimsy. I would have wanted their recommendation to use a thicker backing to give the sign a more sturdy base. I expected better advice since they are an expert in designing and building neon signs. On their website they out that they have over 25 years of experience and I expected that to come through when I choose them as a partner to design and produce this sign. It felt like I was working with a team that was designing signs for the first time. Not that I'm at the end of this project. I would have chosen to work with a different company. My issue is still unresolved.

I would not recommend using this process server. My experience was extremely stressful and…read moreunprofessional during an already difficult time involving a harassment case. There were repeated delays in attempting service, and communication was inconsistent throughout. At one point, the server shared personal issues that were affecting her ability to complete the job, which should NOT impact a client's case. I have documentation where she told me she would send service via social media, however, when I confirmed if it was done, as stated, it was not. I was told that multiple service attempts had been made; however, when I asked a simple question about whether the residence had a Ring camera, which would confirm those attempts), there was hesitation and an incorrect response. I knew they had a ring doorbell; and, 3 Police Officers who were attempting service also confirmed they had a ring doorbell camera. This raised serious concerns and validated my suspicions whether service attempts were actually being made; they weren't. Additionally, there was a lack of transparency when her contact information changed (her number charged) and I was not informed. Required service updates were also not filed with the court in a timely manner. Overall, this experience caused unnecessary ADDITIONAL stress and delays in a time-sensitive legal matter. I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before hiring. I have a lot of documentation and instead of filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office and Better Business Bureau, I'm starting with a review through Yelp. Given the lack of timely service, communication issues, and overall experience, I believe a refund is warranted.
