The Playground looks relatively new but my main concern are the pebbles, besides the fact that you and your kids will look like they just escaped from a dust storm, teenagers are somehow attracted by some kind of dark force to break glass bottles on these pebble playgrounds which is a huge hazard for everyone. The Park staff do come once a week or additionally when you call it in to rake the pebbles and make sure there are no sharp objects in it but it's still scary if you are the first to discover the broken glass ( which happens frequently ). So I am very careful when I take my kids to the playground and usually try to keep them on the actual structures. As for the Dog Park, it's a smaller rectangle shaped enclosure with mostly responsible dog owners that I can even take my disabled dog there without him being ruffed up by some misbehaving dogs.

It's wide open expanse with segregated areas for the general dog public and the small or timid breeds. Picnic tables, covered benches, blue garbage bins pepper the park. A beautiful white spruce tree is the visual and social focal point of the park. The regulars at this park are friendly and most watch their dogs like they watch their children, unlike some parks in the Brampton area. A great place to unwind with your four legged family member. There is a dedicated parking lot at Skyvalley Crescent but it can get busy as it's one of the only ones. The issue with parking is that the neighboring suburbs do not allow for street parking, so it makes parking a little difficult. There are a lot of well maintained and wide trails that people were using for a stroll, bikes (we did see some aggressive bikers so listen for bells), and jogging. Dogs are allowed here as well, as long as they are leashed. There are "non-official" trails that can take you down to the creek - these ones are narrower and not of the brush has been cleared away. To get really close to the water you kind of have to walk through these. There is a payoff during late September and early October as you can see the salmon run! They are a little hard to spot but just wait by areas where there is some rocky elevation in the creek. Those are the choke points where they're normally charging up to make a leap!

I went during the weekday so it wasn't too busy and was pretty quiet. Apparently it gets pretty busy on the weekends though. The park also has a BBQ area but it might be by permit only since I saw a sign posted of the parties who had reserved the area by permit. This spot would be perfect for a date/picnic, especially during the warm summer months. It makes a great gathering area for family friendly activities as well!

It is contained by a 1.5 m tall chain link fence with a separate small dog area and a double-gated entry and exit area. I really appreciate the stated rules of using the park: all male dogs have to be neutered, no female dogs in heat and no children under 12 years old! The small dog area is for dogs that are under 12 lbs and it is well maintained. My dog had so much fun exploring the area which are lined with wood pieces and played with dogs that are friendly like he is!! The other area where the bigger dogs roamed is huge.... hilly and they can all run wild and explore!! I wish there are more off leash dog park like this, where dogs can enjoy the open area and socialize with others just like children!

Dogs are still able to jump on to the rocks by the entrance fence and out of the area. Water is available (lake). Wooded area for some shade in the summer. Picnic tables and benches present. Etobicoke Yacht Club has its own gate entrance from the club grounds. Area by entrance gate can be muddy after heavy rain as it is bare earth and not grassy. Frequented by many commercial dog walkers with five or more dogs with them of varying sizes and types.

This park is on the lake side and the views are so divine and breathtaking. Don't know how I missed this place before. It's so difficult to express in words how serene and beautiful this park is. Perfect place to go and relax and disconnect. You can even see Toronto Skyline from here. There is also a viewing deck, from where you can get a better overall view. This pictures don't do justice to this place. You have experience this place with your eyes. I found this park in fall and went there few times in last weeks of fall before snow. I just envy the people who live close to this place. There were few houses close by, that have balconies opening to lake view. Oh it must be so amazing to wake up everyday to this heavenly view!!
