I was driving through Modesto, on my way from the Bay Area to Clovis for work and after lunch…read moredecided to look for co-working spaces. Much to my surprise, I found Aura Office and decided to check it out for a few hours before heading south. The building was easy to find, but there aren't many signs that direct you to the best place to park or which door to use to access the suite - no problem, after a few minutes, I eventually found it. I made my way upstairs and found nobody at the reception desk. One of their tenants saw me come in and asked if I needed help - he graciously called the office manager, after which I got a quick tour of the space and then paid for a day pass ($25). If you're used to co-working spaces in larger metropolitan cities (SF, for example), the facilities here are quite dated and very limited. I'm not expecting WeWork or anything, but the space was dimly lit and the shared desks had crappy chairs and no easily accessible power plugs. It was barely a step above just hanging out at a Starbucks, which I will almost certainly do next time I'm in the area and in need of a place to do a couple hours of work. The worst part of the experience is that many of the tenants kept their offices open while on Zoom or telephone calls. I now know Alan's pitch for his company's product like the back of my hand, LOL... but in all seriousness, multiple loud phone calls were extremely distracting and I'm surprised this is allowed. Most spaces require calls in conference rooms or to at least have the office door closed to minimize noise. If you're passing through, I simply can't recommend Aura Office. Sadly, a coffee shop would be more conducive to getting work done.

Terrible experience. They falsely advertised 24/7 hour access. Owner was incredibly unprofessional…read more Avoid at all cost.
