Finding that all in one company is nearly impossible -- but I found it with Jose and J. Gudiel Landscape. Jose came out to see my house and discuss what I wanted. I was away when they first came to work but when I got home, even in the dark, I could tell they had been at the house and did a great job weeding, trimming trees and mowing. I am very happy with the quality of their work and attention to detail. I then asked Jose to help clean up an overgrown section of the property to prepare it for a playground. Jose made some suggestions and was able to start right away. His team worked long days in the heat and everyone was very nice. My kids and I liked watching the trucks and tractors and seeing the progress. We were very happy with the outcome. I am very happy with J. They also made a support wall to ensure that the steps stay in place. Throughout this whole project, Jose was easily approachable, communicative and friendly. He is a supplier who does what he says he is going to do thoroughly, without cutting corners, and his price is more competitive than anyone I interviewed. I was afraid that because I had paid less I might be losing out on value. Instead I got first rate service at a steal. Erick knows gardens and even though I tried to pay him extra for a small additional project, he said, "I'll take your money if you really want to do the other project, but you don't need to waste your money." Most importantly he was right. He is a trustworthy, honest person who is building a business that provides excellent landscaping services to his customers.

We waited a full year before writing this review because we wanted to see how our new lawn would…read morelook over time. Unfortunately, we are extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the lawn installation and overall workmanship. We paid over $4,200 for a new lawn installation with cultivation, grading, loam, seed, and follow-up overseeding. One year later, the lawn is patchy, uneven, and full of different grass types and dark clumps throughout the yard despite having a brand new irrigation system. Vinny promised the lawn would look amazing by the following year, but that is absolutely not what we got. Our overall ~$50K project included paving, irrigation, and landscaping, and there were problems throughout the process. Luckily, I was working from home because I constantly had to supervise the crew and catch mistakes myself. At one point the crew had the wrong patio layout before installation. Downspouts that were agreed upon were initially not installed. The pavement was also installed incorrectly, causing major water pooling and dangerous ice buildup in winter before they eventually redid it. The irrigation system was another issue. Our contract clearly included Wi-Fi controls, but they were not installed initially and Vinny tried to claim they had been removed from the contract. Before the controls were installed, the irrigation system ran nonstop and resulted in an additional ~$1,800 water bill before we were able to monitor it ourselves. Our experience was that Vinny is a great salesman who will do everything to win your business, but the execution and follow-through did not match what was promised. We regret giving this project to this company and would strongly encourage others to carefully evaluate other options before hiring them.

Maple Tree should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. They are the most disgusting group of people you could…read moreever meet. They hire illegal immigrants and treat them terribly, including but not limited to: hiring undocumented individuals and then paying those people almost nothing, berating them on job sites, and berating customers (not to mention lying about their rates and trying to get away with it). Two of the young men who worked for Maple Tree told me that they didn't have any papers and that this was the only work that they could land. It's not right for a company to treat immigrants this way. This is a dishonest company that blatantly tries to deny any wrongdoing, so it really doesn't matter what they tell you, and there are far better companies to hire out of Wayland.

By the time I had noticed this there was a significant pile of snow deposited on my section of the sidewalk. I went to go talk to them and asked them to deposit the snow on the strip between the road and the sidewalk (which is what everyone else in the neighborhood does) and remove the pile they had created on my portion of the sidewalk. The worker became argumentative and combative, ignored my request and ended up driving off shortly after. I tried to call, message, and email the company to resolve the issue. All to no avail. One thing to note is it is illegal to remove snow and place it on someone else's property or public way.

For years our driveway would constantly flood and push water into the garage and basement. We spent so much energy, frustration, and money trying to remedy it ourselves which ended in gross wet basement floors and tons of pumps & heavy duty fans. We finally called in the professionals. They were responsive with a resolution & fair quote. On the day of installation, they were on time and did exactly what they said they would do for the exact amount of time they said it would take.
