I needed to print something, photocopy, notarize and send out through Fedex. The staff was super friendly, helpful and responsive. The print and copy rates were super reasonable (infact cheaper than most places) !! After I got home, I realized I made a stupid mistake in my package and had to re-package it (luckily their pick-up time was evening), so I ran to the center again to fix it! I think there was a guy there that maybe got angry at me (not his fault, my mistake), however the other staff calmed him in a few seconds and were super helpful to me and helped me replace the envelope with a new one too! 10/10 would visit again for future needs. These folks are literally gold. I've had to have a number of documents notarized that needed to be done the traditional way for a state form. Every time I've been in, they have been kind, attentive, and super to deal with. We're lucky to have them in the neighborhood doing what they do. How disappointing.. I am a semi regular customer and went in simply needing a few items to be sent with great care. The owner is overwhelmed and after I kindly asked that my items be handled with care, he said go to the post office, I cant do it. And walked away. The owner knows what he's doing and is super chill, and with his equally chill daughter helping him run this ship, PostNet will do it all - copy, help you print stuff in whatever color, notarize, send out packages, and solve your life's issues all under 10 minutes in their brightly-lit, cozy yet spacious place. I even paid over $10 to send out some documents here rather than go several blocks to the grand ole dump known as the Jersey City Post Office (some pretty rude clerks there) because I love their no nonsense service and fair pricing. This place is convenient. It's also a place where you ship items/make copies/get a passport photo. That's it. They do the job. I've never had any complaints with rudeness and such. It's a mom and pop store, they seem old school. No full length review really needed here. I will continue to use 'em for all my mailing needs. *** I do have to say that they don't give receipts when dropping off boxes for returns and such. Scary. I'd like one. Pros - The prices are really affordable - They maintain COVID occupancy rules and make people wait outside if they're too crowded - The employees working there are very knowledgeable and helpful Cons - This is my reason for two stars. I've been in here several times since the pandemic started and I've NEVER seen [I believe the person who is] the owner wearing a mask properly. It's either under his chin, dangling from one ear, or under his nose. PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK PROPERLY. He's like the oldest person there all the time, his employees are all younger than him, he's the highest at risk and the most negligent. It's absurd, as the owner, you should be setting a good example. The back of the store is still right next to the printing area and it's well known that the droplets spread easily indoors. Finally a competent shipping service - I wish I had found them sooner!

Came in for a passport photo. Nice quick and easy, in an out in 5 minutes, no line, and price was not too crazy. Much better than other options in the area. Would come back in a heartbeat. Had tried the Duane Reade and CVS in the area first. Those places require you to bring in your own photo. The Duane Reade requires you to flag someone over a couple of times to put in a code and they have one machine in a cramped area. The CVS has much nicer machines, also required you to bring in your own photo, but you don't need to flag anyone down and can do it by yourself. Once I got the machine to upload my photos (does not take it from the cloud had to be on your phone and all my pictures apparently go to the cloud by default), it told me that they were all incorrectly formatted because they were too close. These machines also charge $1 more than the PostNet even though you have to do everything yourself, which makes absolutely no sense. Why go through all of this trouble when you can just go to PostNet and have someone do everything for you. read more

DHL website tells us to bring our packages to this place to have then sent, but staff don't really feel the same way. I went there after 4pm, and the owner told me the truck has already passed, "so either go after the truck or come back tomorrow ". I went there early the next day, only to be told they didn't take prepaid packages. And that I was told that the day before - I wasn't. In fact, the guy said "I'm the king of DHL, you come back tomorrow". Only to be shoved away again. Don't bother bringing tour dhl stuff there, you won't be serviced and they'll make fun of you. read more

Postnet is a family owned staple in town with some of the nicest and most professional people to greet you and help you with whatever you need. They are extremely efficient and their prices are more then reasonable. Went to drop off a DHL package at 4:30 pm and was given an attitude by a man that all DHL packages have to be received before 4 pm. Not sure how I was supposed to know or why I was given an attitude. Go to drop off the following day and a woman tells me that they stop accepting DHL at 2 pm and they won't accept my package. On the third attempt I call to make sure what time they receive DHL and then I'm told that they don't even accept DHL drop offs. First off the staff is very helpful and attentive. I got really good customer service here. Though the place looks small but it does all the services offered by big players like offered by Staples etc. Best part is that their prices are lower than Staples and service is way better. For a work related errand this is the perfect spot. It's about a 2 second walk from my apartment, the staff is friendly and the prices are fair. I came in to make a large amount of copies and the owner was super helpful. He took a few extra minutes to help me play around with the color and settings to make sure that my copy came out just right. I'm always rushing around and was grateful for the fact that I was in and out in ten minutes. This is a quick review but it was a quick and easy service. Sadly, while I should've written a good review long ago, times have changed. What used to be a family-run store has become as corporate and greedy as any other big chain. Having to wear masks long past this fraud has been exposed, significantly rising costs, shortened hours, and now $5 every time you receive a package which doesn't fit in your ~$250/yr mailbox makes me regret renewing for the umpteenth year. The rising costs in the neighborhood has at least resulted in regentrification and (thanks to the mayor's packages being stolen) a crackdown on porch-pirates, and this bs lockdown means I can receive my packages directly - 8 blocks less to carry them. All for a mere $5: I understand for folks who leave their packages there for days, or for folks who don't listen, but I started using them over a decade ago SPECIFICALLY so I could have packages accepted - that was why I paid for the mailbox. That new cost wasn't made clear to me, it's more than I want to pay, and it has ruined what I thought was a friendship. Price = cheap for lesson-learned: I've paid a lot more to dissolve friendships. Great place for what it does, not the best deal even if it is the best deal in town. read more

I retired June 2015 after hectically working for three attorneys in the legal department of a major corporation in the city and I now rely heavily on PostNet at 344 Grove Street in Jersey City for printing from my email account at their computers as well as copying, faxing and sending overnight correspondence. When I occasionally need help in printing a particularly intricate attachment, a staff person is always there to patiently assist me. During this pandemic, the owner and his crew have been vigilant in following all protocols above and beyond the safety rules to ensure their clientele (and themselves) are protected at all times. This includes monitoring that there are no more than four customers at a time in the store as well as requiring mandatory mask wearing for themselves and the customers. I love this place! Its been a life saver on countless occasions. I used to get my packages stolen ALL THE TIME. Then I got a box at PostNet- smartest thing I ever did! This is sadly a much needed store near where I live but their costumer service is just rude. I had never experience anything like it. I rather find something else even if I have to drive but the way this business is handled is just a shame. They make you feel like you work for them or they are doing you a favor for free. I went in with pretty low service expectations from the other Yelp reviewers, but was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted right away, and was promptly assisted in reprinting a letter on resume paper. The gentleman (Rich?) also helped me locate the USB on the computer to print out additional documents (it was $2 for up to 7 minutes of computer use, including Internet access, and $0.10 for each black & white page). There's also a $5 minimum for credit card purchases. All in all, great and efficient service for the simple copying jobs I needed done. read more

Having moved from Jersey City last year, one of the places I really miss is Rich and PostNet. I would stop by, talk about the Mets for a bit with Rich, and he was always nice and accommodating to anything i needed. i know there are some people who complain about the UPS drop-off policy, but I've dropped off tons of UPS packages with Rich and never had any issues. If they don't want people dropping off packages they should not allow people to drop off UPS/FedEx parcels. Just because someone isn't a paying customer at the moment doesn't mean that they won't return some day to pay for your services. Unless you treat them like crap... then they won't. I went there to get something notarized and in mid sentence the woman walked away from me and completely ignored me because I did not have the right ID with me and was trying just to ask a question. When I pointed out that her behavior was rude and that I was the customer she proceeded to argue with me. I work in customer service in the city and I have to say that is not any way to treat people if you are running a small business in this economy I do not recommend this place and I will not return!!!
