We didnt really feel like as if we were treated as a customers instead being rush and being dismissed. I had a custom design made on etsy but then didn't know how to elevate the rest of the invite to make it a real wedding suite. After having a mini melt down, I'm so glad I came to my senses and went IN PERSON to Print Icon instead of just trying to figure things out online as we are conditioned to do these days. I walked into Print Icon and was instantly at ease as you could tell they have been in the business for years. I showed them all these ideas I had for inserts and they calmly said "sure we can do that, we can do anything" and they weren't kidding! I think for me the best part (other than the speedy return) was being able to literally sit down next to the designer and work through any and ALL small details, from wording, to paper, to colors and fonts. No emailing back and forth over the span of weeks just working with a real human and getting it done quickly! I was then prepared for it to take at least two weeks to make (because again we are conditioned by all these online wedding sites that there will always be a delay) so I was thrilled when Print Icon said "okay they'll be ready in a few days". This is a small reliable store that has been in the business for years and you can tell because they definitely have regular return customers that use them as their go to. Original review: Duggal did not produce to requirements. Product was to be bound along the short edge but they bound it along the long edge, ruining the design and making it harder to read. Colors were also too dark in areas. Ruined my portfolio so I had to get it reprinted elsewhere. A slimy employee also tried to rip me off by charging me without the discount when another employee temporarily left the room, although this was immediately corrected on her return. I used Yelp to quote from 12 firms and manually queried 4 others in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. The prices were mostly in the $400s with some in the $800s, but Advanced Printing stuck out not only for price but details, honesty, forthrightedness (for competitors, the more the quote says upfront to address the customer's request, the better customers feel and might buy), and overall polish (proper format, punctuation, gives me confidence they'll handle the job accordingly) and understanding my specific quote (I wrote a long detailed request and their quote reflected a complete understanding) won the day. After our non-profit's board overwhelmingly voted for Advanced Printing, I sweated it as I wanted to submit payment asap so they could meet our tight deadline of what was now the next day which most NYC print shops either won't do or charge 50-100% more to do, if they even accept the such request. No Chinatown one would even dare try under a week and all of those needed extensive in person visits as they're not much beyond email and only speak Cantonese familiarly and Mandarin begrudgingly. Payment was easy as they within mere minutes (7?) of asking by email replied with a pdf invoice which had a link for online secure payment by card, truly a glorious pleasure as I was unable to submit payment in person due to a family commitment. Paul L. then handily sent proofs and although it was incorrect due to a change I made after the request for quote but then didn't tell him about the update mere 3h earlier, he was a true professional and even comforted me about my frustrations with our lawyers who forced the design change and made new proofs within 30mins. We are forever grateful for his accommodation, even if it's normal in the industry. I then emailed a written confirmation of proofs and off it went to run. Merely 3h later, the job was done. I've walked past Advanced's storefront many times over many years as I work 3 blocks away and found them without GPS or apps. I should've taken photos of their officespace to help customers see their very modern, digital production line and organized clean space, but it's fairly a limited floor 1 view with their workstations for Carlos C. and Paul L. there. Its location on W 37th St between 8th Av and 9th Av is so very convenient for so many midtown needs and workers. I wish I had time to thank Paul personally also but know they hear me so thank you both/all!

I really wish I could give this place 1 more star because the recycled paper options! I chose Advanced Printing NYC specifically for this reason. i needed to print my portfolio and they have 100% recycled Cover paper. This type of paper little bit more weight and thickness to it so your portfolio can be legitimate! I dropped off my portfolio to be printed around 1pm. Paul helped me out! He told me that it would get done latest by the next morning. After, he said that it could be done in 2-3 hours and they would call me when it got done. I was secretly hoping it would get printed the day of and I would get a call. But I didn't get a call, so I called them the next morning. It's really easy to pay! If you forgot your wallet (it was a hectic day), they can email your invoice and you can pay online! When your things are printing, cross guidelines are also printed to see where to cut. But Advance printing does not have a cutting board for public use. I will probably come back to print on that recycled paper and hopefully update the review.

I was walking my dog Gerbert so only had my credit card and keys on me, and Delroy actually waived the dollar temporarily (too low for a credit card purchase) and said to come back and give it next time.
