Went in to have some posters shipped and get an estimate on a book that is headed to Canada. Immediately the clerk behind the counter was heavily sighing, saying that he hates sending poster tubes out and what a pain they are for him to do. At one point he literally said "you just HAD to send posters". I didn't realize that judgment about what is being sent was part of the experience, especially not when I am paying for the service. When I asked about an estimate for the book, he said that he couldn't do it without the person's phone number and that it might not work to just use my number since Canadian numbers are different. You would think that there may be people living in other countries who may still have the typical US phone numbers. An older gentleman came in during my transaction, who spoke limited English and seemed confused about where he was, and the clerk kept raising his voice and saying "do you have a question? SIR? What's your question?? WHAT IS IT??" This is an absolutely atrocious way to speak to people, regardless of whether or not the man was in the right place. I came here because it was conveniently located to my workplace but I will absolutely never return to this location. Horrendous service. Go literally anywhere else. read more

Greedy. I went to ship a pre-paid package for work. They said they couldn't scan my QR code but they could print out the label. I sent an email to them and they printed it out. After printing, he said he wanted $1.32 (something like that) to print one piece of paper. I was ready to pay by credit card and the clerk said there was a $2 minimum. He then suggested I buy something (at their inflated prices ... see other commenters that share my opinion) if I wanted to use the card. When I told him that was crazy, he said "we charge to print. how can you expect to get copies for free". I told him I'm not asking for something free, I'm shipping a package that you can't scan and say you're required to print. I'm using a service I already paid for. I left and went to the Walgreens up the street. No problems with getting a label done at no charge there. This place is a rip-off and I hope they go out of business so that some new and more useful business will open there. read more

He has the ability to check prices with many different carriers so I was able to choose which one fit my budget and time constraints. It was possible for me to get packaging and bubble wrap also! Do yourself a favor and just go to a standard UPS or FedEx location. They wanted $40 to ship something small through UPS. I said no and went to the UPS Store down the road, where they charged $14 and got it right on the truck. I also couldn't leave without paying $3 for a 20-cent plastic bag they wrapped around my package before weighing it. I normally wouldn't say anything, but at a 3x markup, I won't be back. He only charged me one dollar to print a label, less then half the price UPS charges for UPS packages! Can't recommend this store enough, they will take care of you. Not sure I've ever been ripped off like this before. Today I had my boyfriend drop a few things off for shipping. Two of which actually needed labels. One was bigger and the other was smaller, 8 bars of hand made soap. I told my boyfriend "go in and ask for whatever's cheapest, I know the big one will be more but the soap will probably be a flat rate box or something" Well they REALLY took advantage of him asking that question. He left paying $82.92. They charged $33.31 to ship the soap via fed-ex. I weighed and measured the soap just now and with the box size and weight rounded up I checked it on Fed-Ex... $13.55... I double the box size and weight... $24.62. Sadly I don't have the larger box to measure and weigh and compare like I did the other batch of soap, I would be interested to see that difference. I tried to call and stop them from sending it, get my money back but it was too late and they were already picked up. I confronted him and he just told me "that's how much it costs" "you have to figure in weight" "Texas is far away". 3" x 3" x 6" and 1lb 10oz of soap.... $33.31 HOW!? We said cheapest not overnight. To make it worse, I feel terrible because I'm livid and so my poor boyfriend feels guilty, despite my reassurance I don't blame him. I'm an essential worker and Covid hours have made impossible for me to go myself. He was trying to help and just did what I asked, I apparently sent him to the wolves. Next time I'll be going to the post office. Update Out of curiosity I called the Mill Creek location and asked the same question "shipping with fed-ex what would be cheapest" I told him the weight and dimensions. They're great! FedEx lost my package and refused to admit it. I had to go back to PostNet, and the staff there helped me find the paperwork with driver's signature and proved that Fedex has already received it. It helped me a lot to file a claim and get the refund from Fedex. read more

I have been here twice now and both times they were nice and helpful with great customer service. The first time I dropped off some HP cartridges for recycling. They were helpful and cheery. Recently I was in there then two other customers entered after me. The guy there helped me in a timely manner so that the other customers did not have to wait too long. They offer more than notary services. They have mailing services, computer use, printing, mailbox service, and much more. They are very convenient. They have a sign that says if you do not fully pack your box then they will charge $2 (I think it was) which is not surprising. Make sure you pack your boxes and tape it before going there. Way Way Overpriced! Crowded and un-helpful. I needed a short section of tape to finish sealing my package. They refused to help unless they could charge me $1. When i complained, they insisted $1 is their minimum packing charge. Oh, also there is a 10 cent extra charge for tax. I didn't want it packed, i only wanted a 6" section of tape. I insisted that i am *not* paying a dollar for a piece of tape. Alas, they were totally unyielding. So, they get yet another review complaining about their over charging and the other store gets my business. They are usually very crowded. Do them and yourself a favor; take your business elsewhere. There is another postal / UPS store down the street by the Albertson's that will get all of my future business. read more

I went here to mail a present to Oregon. The service was bad, they made me fill out a slip with my address and phone number in order to ship something. I still get e-mails and things in the mail from them. They even charged $2 me to tape up my box! I have consistently been impressed with both the customer service as well as the pricing at this PostNet, owned by Chris Sohn. I've gone there to fax documents and ship items on multiple occasions and prefer this business over going to UPS or the post office because of the kind, considerate and pleasant manor the staff have given me their full presence while thoughtfully assisting me, particularly when I've arrived disorganized. I prefer supporting small businesses and had been going to an alternate location on Harbor Pointe Blvd to fax, copy and ship items for years, until I discovered this postnet who charges nearly half of what I'd been paying the alternate local business for the same services. I appreciated that the prices were so reasonable and the service so pleasant when the local competitors likely receive considerably more traffic. The management of this company clearly values establishing quality human connections with the consumers first and foremost, what I most appreciate about customer service, and the trait that distinguishes this store as the best place to get all shipping or office needs met. read more

When I first moved to Mukilteo in September I chose to use this Post Net because I really like to support local business. I mail a LOT of things and used it quite often, sometimes a few times a week. Today I went to mail a package (all of the other things I had previously mailed were smaller packages and envelopes). There were two small packages. One that contained a framed 8x10 picture and another that contained two small 5x7 framed pictures. My son had taken the photos and framed them for his grandparents who live in North Carolina. When it was time to pay, I was very shocked at the price. He said the total would be almost $80. They were very light, and I couldn't imagine why it would cost so much, but since I trusted this place I just paid and left. When I got to the car my husband was also shocked and said if I had gone to the post office or another ups and FedEx store it would have been no more than $8 or $10 dollars per package. He, being upset that I had been taken advantage of went in and asked about it. The man was very flippant and said that's just the retail mark up. He refused to even do anything about it. I would have continued supporting this business and encourage everyone I know to, but instead I feel very taken advantage of. I don't mind paying a mark up (although I had no idea businesses mark up shipping prices) but this was excessive and I feel that they didn't value my business or loyalty. I will never use this business again and am sharing with everyone I know to please be cautious of their business practice, as they do not care about loyal customers. read more

I wanted to write a follow up to my 10/30/13 review - mind you this package was mailed in early July. We have finally been reimbursed for the shipping cost and enough to almost cover a replacement for the "lost" package. While this is what should have been done immediately and I'm appreciative it has been done, I had to spend a lot of time making requests and repeatedly stopping by to push for some sort of reasonable resolution.
