I cant speak for the venue, but they are incredibly rude to their neighbors, blasting out beat-heavy music at high decibels that you can hear through walls from a mile away. What a sweet gem just minutes from downtown! Kick back, decompress, star gaze, hike, fish, zip line or just porch sit and swing. Very attentive staff that loves what they do. Excellent food and service in a rustic but modern resort. Multi function rooms available, even a bunk house room for the little ones. Very clean and quiet. Common areas have pool table, shuffle board, game tables, cornhole boards, human foosball, volleyball, basketball, swimming pool with jacuzzi's. Something for everyone to enjoy, or do nothing at all and just relax in this unique, special place. Highly recommend and we will be returning often! While this facility looks nice, there is more to it! We were there for a couples retreat. There was no WiFi all weekend and because it is so remote no cell service either. The food was terrible. No one cleaned our room for 3 days. The hot tub was not hot. There were weddings both Friday and Saturday nights. The reception was so loud it was hard to hear the speakers in our meeting. And, they put the brides dressing room in the same building as all of the couples in our group, which made for very noisy nights. Guests were loud and drinking both outside our window and in the main area where our door was located past midnight. read more

I recently attended a wedding held here. Half of my large family flew in to attend. And while the minimalistic hotel and grounds were not to my taste, the reception was gorgeous and the bride very obviously loved her wedding. My overall experience was good, all the service I received was polite, quick and check in and out were a breeze. I really liked the cabin style lodges and really enjoyed the social areas at either end of our lodge and below downstairs. However the hotel has some rather serious drawbacks. They lock their front gate at night, which many guests are not aware of, and they mixed up and or lost several reservations from some of our party, leaving some without beds. Of the amenities, the pool was quite cold, as it is not heated (or was not that day), and our room (lodge 2) was exceptionally small and minimalistic. Almost cruise ship like. It was clean and well lit, but the bed was rather uncomfortable and the water would not stay hot for all that long. They do have drinks and some snacks located at the front check in area, but no food is available on site, other than what you bring. The chef they employ is on call only. It is a gorgeous retreat and I really enjoyed my weekend spending time with my relations. And especially for the price and setting, I quite understand why it was chosen, but, and this may be because I am a Californian, the minimalistic style of the lodge rooms would really keep me from recommending this space to anyone beyond locals of Tulsa and those coming home to get married. read more

This place must be THE prime site for weddings near Tulsa. After just having been at a wedding at the Post Oak Lodge, I can see why. It's located in a beautiful secluded place that separates itself from the rest of the world. It comes with eight lodges to stay in. Each lodge has four rooms that each contain two double beds and a bathroom. There's a communal kitchen between the four. The beds are extremely comfortable and each room has a TV. There's also outdoor seating on porches. The wedding in the main lodge was beautiful with separate rooms for the dinner and cocktails. It also has an exercise room and pool! We got a whole lot more in these rooms than others in the area. I believe a room cost around $119. I would recommend this venue to anyone! read more

This venue was absolutely perfect for the wedding I attended. I am not sure how many people were at the wedding, maybe a little over 200, but the space was plenty big enough, and we never felt crowded at all. The bar was stocked with a great selection (available to any guest of the lodge, even if you aren't part of the wedding... Kinda complicated to explain), and the employees were incredible and even set up quite a few outside tables for anyone that wanted to sit outside under the trees! The ambiance is wonderful and secluded, as this little lodge is set outside of Tulsa with trees everywhere! While it is fairly easy to get to due to nearby highways, the feel of the venue makes it seem like you are hours away from the big city feel! While I did not stay in the cabins that are available to rent (the wedding party stayed there), I did have the opportunity to checl them out and I must say they are EPIC! I really hope I have the opportunity to visit again! read more

I went there recently for a wedding. The views were spectacular. The vistas were just breath-taking. The inside was equally outstanding. I really enjoyed the paintings, especially the one of Haystack rock from Cannon Beach, OR. The food was just fantastic. And seeing 2 friends getting married was a pretty good thing as well. My only complaint has to do with some guests who didn't respect the peace and quiet of others, but that has nothing to do with the lodge, and when brought to their attention the staff did deal with the issue promptly. A super fantastic place, excellent for a wedding, family reunion, etc. :) read more

The venue was very pretty and the staff was friendly enough. The brides dressing room was poorly put together and did not have electricity for us to do our hair as we were getting ready. There also seemed to be an issue with the hot water because there wasn't any in the bathroom where we were forced to get ready. The food was tasty however they repeatedly put bacon in dishes despite the fact that they were told the bride was a vegetarian. Although these aren't the biggest issues it's important to consider the amount of money the brides family has put into this day and that the venue should be the least of their worries on a special day. read more

Best experience ever! I was doing a cross-country trip from Massachusetts to Arizona and found this place on the way. If you're looking for a cozy place to disconnect this is it. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms, clean pool/hot tub area, etc. Complimentary breakfast to-go bags waiting for us at check out. Even during COVID-19 I felt safe and relaxed here. After a 10 hour drive from Colorado we got here for our family reunion! We saw a lot of wildlife such as deer and turkeys on the short ride up to the actual lodge part. The lodge was almost ready but had to be finished being cleaned. We decided to change in the bathroom which was very clean. Within 10 minutes of swimming the lodge was ready! It had a kitchen which was awesome to store the food and drinks for the next night. Our whole family had the rooms in the lodge so it was just us. The down stairs was perfect for everyone to hang out! It had a pool table a poker table and a shuffle board! We had a great time in the down stairs but the room started a bit of concern. As soon as we got into our room there was a scorpion in the bathroom, and 5+ spiders in the bunk room. The lodge can't control wild life but it definitely shaped our stay a bit! If you have a big family or a big party this lodge is perfect for you! read more

We stayed at the Post Oak Lodge this past month for my nephew's wedding. First of all, the setting could not have been more beautiful. The location was very convenient, considering we are from CA and went directly there from the airport. We had many family members staying for the weekend and we chose to do four separate 4 bedroom lodges(that were right next to each other) rather that the big one that would have housed all of us. It was great to swing on the porch and just relax! The housekeeping staff was very friendly and patient with our chaos :) My 15 year old son especially like the pool and spa! The wedding was in the main lodge. There was a room right off the main area which was set up for the ceremony, then the reception was in the main part of the lodge, which has a very romantic atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff was amazing. All in all it was a great weekend with the family. I would love to visit again! read more

The venue is very pretty but that's as far as it goes. Son and daughter in law were married there. I am not sure what happened in the beginning but I know her mother was threatening to forego her deposit and do a destination wedding. First issue for myself and my family started when they decided to give our room to a family member of the staff. We rented cabin #5 and #6. We would have had one extra room in #6 bc we knew someone would stay that had not made a reservation. My room (which I had confirmation, as well as the bride rec'd my confirmation with my room# on it) was given to the family before I arrived and I was moved to the empty room in #6 which we needed for other family members. The staff at first tried to say the brides mother changed my reservation. She was standing there when that occurred and assured the staff and myself she did not do that. I can't help but wonder how someone who does not have my credit card number could change my reservation. The bottom line from the front desk was too bad we don't have to reserve specific rooms for anyone and because they put me in a room that would have to do. So end result was a stranger stayed in the cabin that I should have been in with my family and we had to rent another room for our other family members bc they put me in the extra room that should have been empty until that day. To top that off, guest that was in the cabin with my family of course smoked and stood next to the door to do so. His right to do so, but at the expense of my cousin who recently overcame cancer and was staying in that cabin as well as our children. Second issue, grandfather of the groom had agreed to pay $500 towards the bar at the reception. A week before the wedding they are wanting paid. Not an issue, I give her the grandfather's credit card over the phone. Wedding planner states that the total is five hundred sixty something and some change. She explains that the extra amount is the tax. Fast forward to the reception, within an hour the bar tender informs me the $400 is running out. I state that we should have $500. Turns out somewhere in all that is a service fee and that they took it upon themselves to take that out of the $500 rather than add that in or mention it when we gave them card in the first place. We ended just opening up a tab to make sure the wedding party at least rec'd a drink with their dinner. At this point, it becomes a cash bar. I opened a tab with my credit card for myself and a few others. The end of the night comes, I sign my receipt for $180. A little while later a guest comes up to me and states he thinks that my tab was put on his card and his tab on mine. Sure enough... Poor guy had a $30 tab... So we go to the bar and the bar tender assures us she will refund his card and charge mine. Third issue, today I get a call saying that I have a disputed charge on my credit card from the bar. I call back and tell them I didn't dispute anything and have in fact already paid the balance with my credit card company. Turns out they never took the charge off of the other guests card and I am assuming he disputed as well as he should have. The accounting lady wanted me to screen shot my statement showing where I was also charged. My phone will not allow that due to security reasons. She decides she can figure it out by cross referencing the card since I paid for the room with it. Again, the venue is very pretty but unless you want to be nickel and dimed to death for everything (25% service charge on everything they do) and also don't mind that the staff does not have any idea what is going on, then I would strongly suggest going elsewhere for wedding events. It would probably due for family reunions and business functions as long as you rent the entire property or don't mind strangers being in the same cabin. read more

Charged 300$ for a single liter of scotch, was told they'd have bonfire setup with more wood for my guest... again.. wrong.. enough wood for a 30 minute fire, ended up not being to enoy it. We had our wedding here... top notch. I can't say enough about the staff.. so friendly and helpful. Our dinner was amazing. I had several people approach me at the wedding and tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had. My day was magical and the venue is absolutely beautiful. We stayed onsite in the small lodges (4 rooms total) on Friday and Saturday night and the rooms are clean and have a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The pool and hot tub was very refreshing. There is so much to do.. ziplines (must make reservations ahead of time), several trails, fishing and a small obstacle course...tons to do here if you are an outdoor person. The ONLY reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the rooms are a bit dated and there is no onsite restaurant (they cater but only for events) and the lodge is not in close proximity to the shopping districts (downtown Tulsa or Sand Springs is where you have to go for food). I didn't see any outdoor grills to know if that was an option but cooking inside your room is not. read more
