Very typical southern BBQ place. Rustic with no trace of fancy. There were tables in front under the covered porch as well as indoors. It was a little dark inside. There were a couple of tvs on showing sports. We had stopped in to buy one of their funny shirts but they were sold out. We decided to stay for dinner. We both ordered pulled pork plates one with loaded baked potato salad and yellow squash and one with hash and rice and collards. The meat was "pulled" really fine but had a nice taste. I really liked the rice and hash but it was a bit spicy. DD liked her sides. We had a lot of food left over for lunches the next day. Pot Smokers isn't my "go to" BBQ place, especially since their North Augusta location appears to be closed now but it's pretty good.
Great pulled pork! Didn't even need sauce. I loved the green beans and collards. Very tender and flavorful. Would definitely go back again.
The "free" smells are outstanding. Our family got the brisket plate with cucumber salad and baked beans. The full rack of ribs with the cucumber salad and coleslaw. My husband said he would go back just for the coleslaw. It was some of the best he has ever had. The brisket sandwich with fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were a little pricey at $39 but the taste of everything was amazing. The employees were all very friendly. Inside was small and dark but the outside seating was covered and extremely clean.
Tuesday night dinner. Double order of smoked wings. Very large , good tasting wings. 10 large wings and a ice T , under 20 bucks. I left fully and satisfied.
It's easy to find just look for the billowing smoke. They have indoor seating as well as shaded picnic table outdoor seating. Traditional BBQ menu and fairly priced. Portions are good sized and all platter come with 2 sides. I had the brisket upon recommendation and it was good but lacked a smoke flavor. The collard greens were also good a bit on the sweet side and the cucumber medley was a better healthy option. Service is friendly and once you order at the counter they bring you your food. There are various sauces available at the tables to try. I would say this is average bbq at best.
Great food and great service. The meat falls off the bone. The hash and rice tastes amazing. The mustard sauce is really good.

Besides I got macaroni and cheese and greens were really great but the brisket was less to be desired. It just had too much fat on it and I couldn't eat it plus it just tasted a bit rubbery to me. Honestly I experience better at other barbecue restaurants and this one is not one of them. I don't think I'll come here again but if I do I'll try something different on the menu.
1/4 bbq and pork were AWEFUL. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and the pork appeared to be sitting for a while, not edible to me. The kids meal was probably the best part of the meal. At least the kids tenders were fresh and had flavor.
The ribs looked like they came out of the oven! They tasted like the came out of the oven! Worst ribs I ever had in my life. When I asked the cashier she told me that the ribs was smoked for 12 hours at 250! Any one that smoke ribs know that you can't smoke ribs for 12 hours they will dry out! No bark was on the ribs! After asking the manager she continue to lie and say they cooked them for 12 hours! Below is a picture of the oven ribs!
This place is a solid bar b q joint. They use real wood real smoker and have great service. Brisket sandwich was a lil dry. The mark of a good bar bq place is tender smoky brisket. The mac and cheese was good as were the green beans. The inside was nice w tables and picnic tables outside. Gives you feel of being at a bar bq spot. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to you. Drinks are self-serve. There are about 9 tables inside and about 6 outside. The people are friendly and the meat has a good smoke ring. You put your own sauce on the meat. Fries came out hot, and they had a light batter on them. The squash was a bit mushy for my taste. The chicken had good flavor, but the breast was a little dry. This location is mostly known for the brisket and ribs. read more

Just picked up lunch to go. I am so happy with my experience. The person who took my order was so nice-- I asked her for some recommendations and she didn't disappoint! I got the pork plate with Mac and cheese and fries. The portions were amazingly generous for lunch. The fries were good and the Mac and cheese was awesome! The bbq was perfectly smoky, no fat in it either. For $10, I will have plenty of tasty leftovers. Will come back soon! read more

This place has great bbq. The brisket the first time was fatty but I had it a second time and it was good. They have a variety of bbq sauce vinegar based, mustard based, spicy and sweet. Hash and rice is my favorite side! The pickled cucumbers and peppers and coleslaw was good too. I would pass on the Mac and cheese as it's just plain. They put a regular slice of break on top which I would rather have corn bread or a roll. They have a drive thru that is quick and convenient. Nice outdoor picnic style seating as well. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time because they have brisket! The brisket is tender and really good. We got take out, so it was sitting in its juices/fat and seeing all the drippings made me feel a little guilty! The collards were yummy and the mac n cheese was pretty average. The pulled pork and hash were ok. The ribs were really tender and flavorful. I would definitely eat here over the other bbq joints in Aiken/New Ellenton. read more

Update: I'm giving this place 5 stars because it was that good and I didn't feel that 4 stars was enough justice for the friendly staff and amazing tasting food. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is only because they ran out of the ribs before I could try them. If it wasn't for that, 5 stars easily would be given. So, with that being said, if you want ribs get here before 6:30pm. (I'll be back to try them) I had the pulled pork, beef brisket, mac and cheese, and loaded potato salad, and pecan pie. The meat was perfectly smoked and seasoned and not dry at all. The BBQ sauce wasn't needed, although if you add it, it will add that sweet flavor you might be looking for. But, I suggest you try the meet "dry" first. The serving size was surprisingly large, bigger than most places around here. The Mac cheese was cheesy with an extra layer of cheese baked on top. It complemented the meat very well. The potato salad was impressive. The shredded bacon (not bacon bits) was an awesome addition. I could definitely eat that again, and I don't normally get potato salad! If my Grandma's pecan pie wasn't the best, Pot Smokers would win that position. If you're in the mood for fast and delicious Smoked BBQ, come here. read more

Really good bbq ....and man the sauces....while I grew up on Carolina mustard style all of their offerings were amazing! Sweet style, vinegar based, mustard and the hot all hit the taste buds in a good way. Oh , and the sides ! Wow! Way above par bacon potato salad and creamy cole slaw. I'm loving it ! Well hats off to you, Pot Smoker BBQ. Truly a return visit is warranted. read more

Was in the mood for bbq and just happened upon this restaurant. My husband and I ordered the pork and rib combo plate. Ribs were fall off the bone juicy and delicious, most other places over cooks the meats but not here. Food was fresh and hot. Sides were very good, the only problem I found was the squash was peppered a little more than I like but over all it was a fantastic meal. For dessert we got the cheesecake was big enough for 3 people. Prices were affordable, restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure that you try the "Help Me Jesus " hot sauce. We will definitely come back again read more
