I have NEVER had an issue here. I have always been able to see the doctor within 2-5 min of my appointment time. The doctor that I see is VERY thorough and never rushes through my concerns. I have been waiting for 2 months to get a call back on a test that I don't believe they correctly ordered.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!! Admin. staff at this office (Frederick) are an abomination to health care! My PCP was my sister-in-law, and I got excellent care from HER, but she recently retired. Before she retired, I was at least able to get the admin staff to respond, but only after raising holy hell. Since then, I cannot get my "new" Dr/PA (whoever they shoved me off to) to return my NUMEROUS calls, even after receiving alarming bloodwork results that I don't understand. Finally gave up and found a new practice that actually cares about its patients and is responsive to my requests and concerns. Potomac Physicians was bad enough before, but since they were taken over by Lifebridge Health, it has gotten FAR WORSE. I had been going to Dr. Tesfalidet for a while. I liked her because she seemed to care about your issues. The problem is the office staff is the worst I have ever dealt with. First of all the front desk staff is very unfriendly and rude. I wanted to make my next appt. and they would say call back. I also had to wait at times at least an hour to see the doctor and when I said something to the doctor she said some doctors are on vacation or we are backed up today. The last thing that got me is when they called the name Marianne another woman went in and it was suppose to be me. She happened to have the same name. When I finally went in the doctor did realize it was the wrong Marianne. Talk about an incompetent staff. They should have said the whole name. I also wanted my medical records sent to another doctor and they never did. I am so done with the office. The communication is that office is horri ble. They need a whole new staff. Dr. Tesfalidet is the Best! She is very thorough, does not rush and is very careful to explain what you need to know so that you do not walk out of the office wondering about anything. She did call an ambulance and sent me to the hospital for my own good during one office visit. I guess she did not like what she saw or heard and within two hours at the hospital they found that I had a pulmonary emboli. I have been seeing Dr. T since I moved to Frederick in 2016 and she is wonderful. I do not wait more than 5 to 10 minutes to see her at my appointment time. That never varies, I am always seen on time. The office staff have always treated me kindly and with respect. I have never noticed them treating anyone who comes into the office any other way. read more

Zero stars should really be an option...this place is gives medicine a bad name. I don't know who or WHY these people work here, but they clearly hate their jobs. If you like disorganization, rudeness, waiting over a week for medication refills, then Potomac Physicians is your place. Forget the fact the Dr. Ahmed is consistently late to the office 45 minutes every single day (prior to COVID). I don't know how this stuff is able to fly. Stay away from this place! Every time I call to make an appointment for my son the staff is so rude! They shouldn't be working with children at all. Oh and they REFUSED to see my son because he has a cough. They said just to take him to urgent care. Maybe I'll just do that from now on instead since they don't want to do their jobs. I understand the issue with COVID however I explained to them that he had already been tested for COVID and was negative. Seems like they just don't want to see sick kids. I see Dr. Tesfalidet and my husband sees Dr. Ahmed. Sometimes they run behind but I honestly think it is because the office schedules appointments every 10-15 minutes but the doctors care enough about you and your health that they don't stop you and say "time is up!". Both of the doctors we see are thorough, kind, caring, supportive, and go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of. For me, it is worth the wait. Occasionally we have had issues with refills but now we make sure to be seen before we run out of refills to avoid this. I also agree with another reviewer that the office staff is nice to you if you are nice to them. I imagine with their location they have a lot of difficult patients. read more

You can expect WORSE health after visiting this place. My doctor, Ainee Ahmed, is a compassionate person, but she can't do her job. She's always overwhelmed, and she ALWAYS forgets to give the pre-authorization necessary for my insurance to cover my prescriptions. The office insisted that I get her physical signature, even though the doctor only works part-time and is always busy. My pharmacy was upset with them, I'm upset with them, and as a person who has serious health problems, I feel much worse off after visiting this place; they have failed me. read more

I had an initial appointment scheduled this morning with a new doctor, which was scheduled 3 months ago and was confirmed last week. When I came in today they said they couldn't find it. "Oh, we just switched systems...here it is, sorry we can't see you today. Let's reschedule for...does 3 months from now sound good?" This office is a mess, I don't even know where to begin. First contact, they said they didn't accept my insurance, had to get my old doctor's office to call them (the Potomac Physicians in Hunt Valley). First appointment, they left me sitting in the exam room for more than 20 minutes waiting. They sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy twice. Second appointment, waiting to get lab work done and no one takes me, finally go in to see the doctor and she's mad that I don't have the lab work and can't do anything for me, tells me *I* wasted *her* time! Third, and final appointment, didn't even see my doctor, I sat in the waiting room for 35 minutes (timed it) and finally left in frustration. read more

I never ever write reviews. I understand these people are human and especially right now with the pandemic it's more challenging. That being said- the experience I had today was so awful, I absolutely had to say something. First off, my appointment was at 11 AM today. I got there on time and checked in the front desk lady was nice and helpful. However I waited over an HOUR AND A HALF to get my height, weight and blood pressure checked by the nurse. By the time I actually got back to the room I had to wait even longer to see the doctor. At this point I was so angry I checked my phone at 1 PM and still no sign of the doctor. TWO HOURS I was in that office for a scheduled 11AM appointment. I left without even seeing the doctor because I was so angry and I had another appointment to go to. They do not deserve even 1 star as far as I am concerned. I stared going to them last year for the first time. The Dr. was nice enough and pretty thorough, but evidently mis coded my condition for the labs she ordered. I ended up spending hundreds out of my pocket and even brought it a letter with all the pertinent attachments in early February. I was trying to make an appeal to my insurance. All the dr. needed to do was write something up and then give it back to me. They gave it to the Dr. I presume. I did talk to different people a couple of times, but to no avail. I was told the letter (that I wrote) was in my file, the dr and financial or office manager would get back to me. The last 4 weeks I have called numerous times and have not received any call back. I just had an appointment with another dr in another practice and that is where I will be going. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone I cared about. read more

Myself and my wife have been going to Pot. Phy. for over 10 years now and it has always been a great experience. We have never had any issues like the other reviews have stated. Lucky? Maybe, but over the years we have had two different docs and they have both been great. They both worked with us for the betterment of our health. Most importantly they listened to our concerns and found solutions. Every time we needed to schedule appointments and even when we had urgent needs to see the docs right away the staff found a way to accommodate us. Any requests for records or referrals were answered very quickly. The staff is persistent about follow up calls and visits which is great. The only reason this is not a 5* review is the facility itself. Its a bit older and could use a makeover. The condition is understandable considering how long they have been open and the number of patients they see. I will recommend this office to any of my friends and plan to be there for a long long time. read more

I've been on hold for over 20 minutes just trying to leave a simple 30 SECOND message concerning lab work. I simply wanted a COVID T-cell antibody year added to my bloodwork ; I specifically told them that yesterday when I called... today they called and asked if I wanted to be tested for Covid ? Practice run by IDIOTS! I wish I read the yelp reviews prior to choosing them. Will be going elsewhere ASAP. Dr Ahmed is very kind, attentive, and thorough during examination but I am not happy how she's only there a few days a week. Afterwards, getting an answer from her takes a long time and that's if she's relayed the information from her staff. I don't know where the disconnect is.. is it the staff not cooperating with each other to get information? Are they understaffed? Or not cooperating with other medical professionals? Or just not relaying information to patients?? I'm so fed up with them.. -They suggested me go see Medoville downstairs to get my knee brace but then gave them the run around when asked for additional info. -Trying to get 1 prescription has taken three months and still counting. - At one point, their office called me several times, speaking with me each time to get the same exact information I give the previous person, asking the same exact questions regarding an injury I had. (Which not only was annoying but leads me to believe they were not recording/relaying the information I was giving them.) -Giving me my X-ray results was like pulling teeth! I ended up asking my PT to get it for me and she received it via fax within the hour. The staff is horrible at their job. I gave one star because of the front desk; they don't care about the patients. The ladies at the front desk are rude, unkind, bitter and unprofessional, OH! when they pick up the call, they are laughing or talking to someone else in the office while you are waiting and if you have an accent, they will put the phone off on you several times. When you keep trying to call them again, they won't pick up the calls. I don't know why they let this keeps happening. They keep these horrible people in that office. They are supposed to help the sick people see their doctors. One of the ladies there is so loud when she takes your information; there is no privacy. Well I don't know where to begin either. I read each of the reviews but unfortunately it was too late. I went to my 11:00 appointment to see Dr Brinkley, and at 12:15 asked is there any reason why I'm still sitting here an hour and 15 mins after my scheduled time and they told me that that doctor always runs late. I said well I wish you would have told me that ahead of time and I would have chosen another dr. No apology no expression no comment from the receptionist. I walked out. And on the way out I used their restroom and it was disgusting. No soap no paper towels one flimsy little hand dryer that took 6 minutes to dry. Not that I was in any Rush but I was already frustrated. Never would I recommend this practice. I too didn't even want to give the one star. read more

This practice is best summed up with two words; dog sh*t. I've never in my life seen ANY group of individuals fall short on so many consecutive tasks. I've gone here for years due to the fact that my parents had chosen Pot. Phys. As our primary care. I am happy to say that I am taking over my insurance in the next few months and simply can't wait to find a competent doctors office!(: Honestly, jokes aside, the previous reviews speak for themselves. This office lacks in literally every facet of the business. Management is clueless, front desk is rude and incapable, doctors guess about patients conditions leading to bogus prescriptions that make little sense. I won't list all the proof I have that this organization is f*cked up like a soup sandwich, however I will tell you one example. I requested medical records for the duration of the time I had been visiting the office, per request of an employer. I was told this would take an "unpredictable" amount of time. After 6 weeks I had them. Well, part of them. It seemed that I was missing extensive medical history in those records. In fact, I was told I had been attending the office for only 3 years when in fact I've proven it was actually 7. So where are the 4 years I'm missing? Nobody has an answer. My employer specifically requested all information on my chronic migraines, yet all notation of prescriptions (I've tried several over the years) has magically vanished and I have no way to prove my medical limitation in a physically demanding job in high heat that could not be performed during a migraine. Thanks for nothing Potomac physicians. Worthless staff. They obviously don't read reviews at all because both google and yelp have like 10 or more reviews and they're all garbage. Those people aren't lying. Staff needs cleaned out top to bottom with the exception of Dr. T and I've also heard all positives about Dr. Brinkley. I am currently waiting to see the doctor at Potomac Physicians and it has been over an hour and I still haven't seen the physicians assistant! I'm sitting in the waiting room listening to others talk about how they wait at least 3 hours to be seen. One woman's appointment was at 2:15 and it's 4:19 now and she still hasn't been seen. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and the front office staff was nice; however, the wait time has me walking out the door right now without being seen. Employees could care less about the customers that come in there. They're just there to collect a paycheck and have no care in the world about the customers well being. They Canceled the appoint that I was waiting for over almost two months the day before i was supposed to go in than proceed to tell me I'd have to wait another month before being seen as to if I was of no importance to them. I had an appointment at 6 and it's 7 and I still haven't seen the doctor. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Front desk receptionist just left for the day and no one is out here. Every time I come in here it's a horrible experience. Last time I got blood work done and I was never contacted with results. When I called to ask they refused to give it to me said I had to speak to the doctor only. I'd give zero stars if possible. I switched to this practice a month ago and it's been nothing short of a disaster since. They are a 'for profit' practice as opposed to a 'helping patients' practice. The office staff is rude and not helpful with the most basic questions. When you question their reasons behind needing to come in multiple times for the SAME information they turn it on the patient and accuse them of trying to make multiple unnecessary appts and wasting time. If I could give this place zero to negative stars I would. I actually created this yelp account today just to put up this review. I usually let negative things roll off as life is too short. However, the repeated bad service I have received at this office leads me to post. Stay away. Poor management. They do not honor appointments, and are very disorganized and some staff seem incompetent to basic knowledge of vaccines. I was charged for a visit where nothing was performed; they did not have the vaccine I scheduled the appointment for in stock. THIS IS WHAT THE APPOINTMENT WAS FOR. They should ensure that if they do not have the vaccine, order it - or at least call the patient to inform of a possible delay. Do not wait until I am sitting in your exam room after waiting to be seen for 45 minutes to then tell me you do not carry this particular adult vaccine. If you knew that, then why did you not order it when my appointment was booked? Piss poor organization. I had to raise a fuss to get my co-pay reimbursed. They "voided" my copay but a refund never hit my bank account and I gave them upwards of a month to let it show up. Now they dodge trying to fix it. As far as appointment times, they cancel frequently and when they are there, I have waited upwards of 2 hours to be seen. Today I had an issue with my insurance at check-in (which I am trying to rectify on site). They had the audacity to get sassy about my appointment starting late. I have also been prescribed meds for a condition which I did not end up having. Luckily, I advocated for myself, and waited to get test results back--low and behold I did not have the condition. Good thing I did not start the medicine as they prescribed because one of its adverse effects is to actually give you the condition if you are taking the med unnecessarily. If you do not watch out and do some of your own research, you could have some real problems (although I would say this about any medical practice; you must advocate for yourself and do your research). So, I have tried to give this practice the benefit of the doubt...way too much. I am finished, my time is precious and so is my health. Much more to express, but you get the point. I receive a letter indicating that my provider joined this practice and some other doctor was welcoming me. in the few years that I've been associated with this practice I have encountered more negatives then positives. on a couple of occasions I have called to speak with the administrative offices and all I got was an answering machine. Apparently the concern is turn around and not personalized medical care. The patient has very little to say in his or her care. To summarize the level of care received from this practice, I can't. There are better choices when it comes to health care so do yourself a favor and research the people you are trusting your lives with. I finally had enough and decided to find myself a new provider and called for my records. let's just say that answering machines seem to be the standard practice of Potomac physicians. I don't think they are HIPPA compliant. forget speaking with your position over the phone regarding serious matters. routine medications for blood pressure are often met with demands to set an appointment while Pharmacy requests go Unanswered until the patient actually calls. this practice will allow you to run out of medication when their calendar is booked and they are unable to get you in for refills. my final straw was a third time cancellation by my provider on the day of the appointment. Physicians somehow think their time is more valuable than yours. I took a vacation dayon all three occasions. now some people may think that this is disgruntled but I assure you this review is only in the interest of current and perspective patients considering this Medical Group.
