I came here with my son after franchise Chiropractors didn't really get the job done. They have the nicest staff that remembers your names and always is friendly. They are very organized and take my insurance. Turns out my whole family can come here 15-20 visits per year and I was paying out of pocket before. It's always good to ask. They always have the TV going and clean restrooms l Dr Potter has the most kind and calm bedside manner and they always work with you to get you in. I am so glad I found a small family owned clinic in town to support. I've been on the look out for a chiropractor that I could go to. When I called in to see if they had appointments the receptionist was very kind & helpful. Bonus points already. When I came in, the service was just as warm and welcoming. I didn't get her name, she was a middle aged woman with curly hair. She was the same one who took my phone call. She sat down with me to go over the intake paperwork because it can be confusing and she even sat next to me to ensure I didn't have any questions. Service, I saw the next time she provided the same care to another new client. It just goes to show she loves her job and the welcoming environment she creates made me comfortable. I was referred here after being rear ended and experiencing some pain to my upper body as a result. They were able to get me a next day appointment. The clinic is located in a small strip mall just off Elk Grove Blvd. I arrived to a busy waiting room. They are popular! And based on the conversations it sounded like a lot of regulars. It took a while to fill out my paperwork, but eventually I was put on a muscle stimulation machine and then waited in Dr. Potter's office. He examined me thoroughly, adjusted me quickly (telling me he was starting light since it was my first day but would go into a treatment plan on my next visit), and after I scheduled my next two appointments, I was sent home with some reading to do. So far so good for a first visit. Dr. Potter is friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to have nice perks like the muscle stimulation machines, massaging chairs, and even a masseuse on site. read more

Amazing care, really listen to you. They offer chiropractic adjustments and massages. The space is large, many patients attend, wait time can be a little long due to the volume of patients. The office staff are really lovely and make you feel welcome and explain the process thoroughly. It's a family practice and you are made to feel a part of a lovely group of people as soon as you leave. Dr. Potter did my adjustments and he was really attentive and explained the process. This is my second visit to Potter Chiropractic and both visits have been amazing. The front desk is always so helpful whether if I'm calling over the phone or in person. Dr. potter takes his time with each exam and asks plenty of questions to make sure he knows exactly where the pain is. I have only gone for check ups and pay a copay of $15. My visit only lasts about 15 minutes but I always leave so much better than when I arrived. Most of the times I get seen early if i arrived earlier. I look forward to coming back! read more

He put so much pressure on my back that I am still suffering pain after 3 months of walking away and going to another Dr. I felt like you were rushed through like cattle. I went here a few times for back pain because they took Kaiser insurance. The staff were really friendly and the office was clean. They seem to have good Covid protocols. I liked his upper back and neck adjustments as they helped relieve tension. I didn't think his lower back adjustments did much to help me. My biggest frustration was that despite having appointments they were always running behind schedule. I'd wait at least 20 minutes to go in and have my back cracked for about 60 seconds. That was it. Other chiropractors I've been to would at least do some sort of therapy on your muscles but here it was just in and out. I wound up going elsewhere because I didn't think the service I got was worth the money. Side note: one review talks about how she's been coming twice a week for years because of how great they are. If you're coming twice a week for years shouldn't you get better at some point? read more

I first saw Dr. Potter back in 2014 after a car accident and recently went back after I somehow tweaked my back. There are positives and one big negative for me. First, the office is clean and the staff is suuuuper friendly. Andrea has been with the office for a long time (she was there before I started seeing Dr. Potter to my recent return this year). It seems she remembers every patient that walks in by first name. Very knowledgeable and seems to be a very strong worker! They are very flexible and accept same day appointments. They also offer later appointments after 6, which I appreciated. I feel the furniture and equipment can be upgraded most seem to have been there since the early 90s. They do have an in-house massage therapist, which is covered by most insurances if I'm not mistaken. If not covered, its $35. So! Dr. Potter is very nice and he really did help heal my injuries. My biggest issue, which I never spoke with him or his staff about, was that EVERY single appointment felt rushed. I am referring to both of my experiences from 2014 and 2022. In 2014 I had to see him weekly for several months until better. This time around I only saw him a few times before deciding not to return. At each appointment I did not feel my concerns were completely addressed because any time I asked a question he was very short and eager to move on to the next patient. He would literally be walking out the door while answering my question. He'd come in say hi, tell me to lay on my stomach, side or whatever adjust me and say come back in a week, bye. I don't know if my expectations are too high? I've worked in healthcare for 12 years for different specialties and I just feel that delivering good patient care should always be placed at the forefront. There was no real patient doctor relationship built after so many visits so I just did not feel like my worries mattered and that I was just another patient. I moved to Oregon and saw another chiropractor and my experience with him was night and day so when my most recent incident happened I was on the fence about scheduling with Dr. Potter again because of the previous experience with him. Seeing him again, it was the same as before, rushed, bland, and on to the next patient. I cancelled my last appointment and did not make another, because though he's super nice, does a great job, I just felt like I was an annoyance if I asked a question and that he does not really dedicate time to show empathy or just time in general. Seems like his template might be overfilled hence why it was always on to the next? Again, he's super nice, staff is so friendly, flexible schedule and you will get better under his care. I personally just didn't receive the type of care that I preferred. read more

Went in for unknown pain and he figured it out pretty quick it was a tweaked hip, walked out and felt a bit better, two other sessions and I feel back to normal! He helped adjust me after a car accident about 10 years ago and he is still the only person I trust to make me feel better when life's aches and pains get me down. 3.5 Stars I'm here for basic tune-ups. Dr. Potter and his staff were really sweet. The first visit (Friday evening) with the consultation was really nice he adjusted my neck, mid back, lower back, and behind my shoulder blades. It was one of the most detailed spinal adjustment I have had and I've been to 4 throughout the years. It felt great! A little pain afterwards, but that's normal. However, the second time (Tuesday evening and I ran 5 minutes behind)... he had 4-5 patients piled up and he didn't really have much time for me and just cracked my mid back. I was running behind for my dinner date, so I was like eh okay. I'm hesitating to give this place another try. I work in a really fast pace medical office myself, but no matter how far we're running behind we perform all of the steps. I'll update this if I decide to go in next week! read more

I have had hip pain for about 6 years, and it was progressively getting worse. It got to the point that I couldn't move freely and I was suffering through it. I've been to several different chiropractors with the hopes of this being alleviated. I decided to try Potter Chiropractic. The building may not come off as fancy, but the staff are wonderful and Dr Potter was amazing. He took the time to understand where my pain was coming from, and I didn't feel like another dollar sign like previously experienced in other offices. He did an evaluation testing my range of motion, followed by a short heating session and massage chair, and then I was adjusted. I have not found anyone who could successfully adjust my hip area. Dr. Potter was able to and it was such an emotional release that I cried. For the first time in several years I have hope that I'm going to be able to manage this pain and get my life back! read more

Review based on several visits... I have been very pleased with my progression since I have first started seeing Dr Potter. I was recommended to this location after considering different alternatives to increase my recovery time for my lower back due to a weight lifting accident. It has been a great experience with the staff, availability, rehabilitation, and overall cost. The staff is always very personable and adjustments only cost $35 per visit. They also offer other types of treatments including on site massage therapists. Appointments are usually easy to set up, and they are open until 7 for later appointments. I would highly recommend seeing them as an alternative form of treatment for anyone having back or neck pains that have not received the results they expect from any current treatments. Dr. Potter was able to do do a crucial adjustments to an extremely stubborn area on my lower back where other chiropractors have tried and failed. Came in the office regarding real bad lower back pain. The staff members at the front desk were very friendly. The first visit was a bit disappointing. Came in 20 mins early to complete paperwork. And then waited another 30 minutes before my initial check up. And this was me scheduling 4 days in advance. Dr. Potter does have a friendly demeanor, but the service provided didn't even last more than 5-8 minutes. The treatment is generic, he will twist your body and crack your back, mind that you could do this yourself at home. He has a pretty busy schedule and I felt I was rushed throughout the whole process so that he can see his next patients. On the way out "oh btw here's a pocket size booklet on some stretches you can perform at home". Thank you for coming in and we'll see you again on next appointment. Thought I'd give him another chance. Mind you I scheduled early morning, and it was not busy at all. Process again didn't even last 10 minutes. Couple twist and turns and your done. I was expecting at least 20-25 minute session, but I feel its more about quantity instead of quality. $70 - initial visit application fee with very basic and limited treatment. $30 per for future visits. "mind you sessions barely last 10 minutes" due to rushing to the next patient. My back was still giving me horrible pain. Did a little bit more research and decided to go to PT (physical therapy). After two sessions with PT I felt 70% better. And they work with you one on one between 30-60 minutes "depends on where you go" I really am not bashing this place, but I feel that Dr. Potter may need little work on quality, not the quantity of people that rush through the door. read more
