Walked in to gather information as I have Kaiser insurance and my plan allows for in-network chiropractic care. I have Kaiser because as a disabled veteran, I don't trust the VA and chose different insurance. Due to my service, started feeling minor sciatic-type pain and just wanted a reliable place near my work place to possibly get adjusted. Well, I walked in today at approximately 3:40pm and instead of being greeted, I was approached by the rudest receptionist. I must've confused the office I called bc I told her I was the one who called and she's like "there's like different people who answer the phone so it wasn't me, who'd you talk to?" And proceeded to explain that I had Kaiser insurance. She cut me off and proceeded to smirk and say, "we don't even take Kaiser so it wasn't us." She was snarky and rude. I just walked out. I've been seeing a chiropractor since 2010 in the Bay Area and since we moved here in 2023, finding a chiro that has exactly what I need was challenging at first. I've tried several in the area, all served it's purpose. I drove by Rhino and been a patient here since Nov 2024. I suffered with lower back pain since giving birth to my 1st child (she's in her 30s now), and the DRX 9000 helped me! This is the real deal!!!! This place will ripe you off. They change 2500 up front. Then after it's 190 dollars a month just to get your neck cracked for 5 mins. They will continue to change you even after you tell them you no longer want to continue your treatment plan. They have literally been changing me still to this day, almost three months later. So I am now 5 months after treatment. Let me tell you I wish I came here when I fist had my hip pain. Because I think I could have avoided a my surgery. However I didn't and I broke my disc. So surgery was my only option. When going to the the Rhino chiropractor I was told I might not get full relief due to only having half a disc but it was worth the try. I am glad I took the risk and spent the money because let me tell you I feel normal. I do not have any pain. There are day I need an adjustment. But the 10/10 pain I was having on a daily is gone! I recommend all my friends and family who have back issues. And I know I'll sign up for treatments in the future to assure I maintain myself. This is not a cheap process but it's worth every penny!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! They like to take advantage of the elderly! My elder father, 85 yrs old, went here for care, and they convinced him to sign up for a program that cost him over $1200 after medicare. When he got home and talked to me about it, he realized how much it was out of pocket and said he didn't have that much money. So when he returned to their office, they told him it was too bad. I went through a 6 week intensive for decompression and adjustment and saw improvement in the before and after x-rays, particularly in my neck, which only got adjustment and not decompression. I decided to continue going weekly and can tell by the end of the week I would like to get back. Doctor always wears a mask when working on me when I ask, as would the attendees. The other two Chiropractors were neck crackers and Dr. Hansen is far from that. He takes regular x-rays to see what kind of treatment would be best and to calibrate the treatment he's been providing. My mother had a personal injury incident and the gal, Sabrina answering the front desk took all my info and details of the accident and told me she'd call me back. After a few minutes, she called back and stated they cannot take our specific personal injury case. That's very suspicious leaning; perhaps borderline racist, after taking down my name and info along with my mothers. Shouldn't Sabrina have a general idea and/or a list of injury cases that her office takes on? I wouldn't recommend this place for that reason. Perhaps if my name was Bartholomew J. Smith they would have stated otherwise, but it seems highly unlikely. You can call my review fake for calling it out as racism but this is the way I'm objectively seeing it. Who cares what the injury was? An injury is an injury and a Chiropractors duty is to manage and get to the root problem of a patients pain. Not worth it. My husband went here after tweaking his back. The first appointment they took x-rays but didn't even look at him but charged us for the x-rays. Then second appointment they went over the x-rays and adjusted him and charged us for the adjustment even though they said insurance would pay for the first 20. Then they proceeded to try to get us to pay for a full 76 adjustment plan up front. Definitely only care about the money and not finding out why people are there in the first place. I realize my husbands x-rays showed more than the initial reason for the appointment but he in now in more pain than he went in with and can barely stand or sit without pain, numbness, and dizziness. I had to stop my treatment that I had already paid for because I couldn't bring my autistic child into the office with me without his self esteem being torn to shreds. He was told that the fundamental part of him that makes him special is just a disease caused by vaccines, and Dr. Hansen was constantly pressuring me to let him "cure" my son every time I went to get adjusted. Chiropractic care can do wonders to help people on the spectrum with certain challenges that they face, but to tell my little boy that they want to change something that he's very proud of being because it's a bad thing to be who he is? If I could give a minus star, I certainly would. I am not going so far as to say that this "doctor" is a charlatan, but I can certainly say that he took nearly $5,000 of my money for what he basically referred to as an "essential promise" to reduce/eliminate my back pain (his words) that did NOT occur. In fact, I would say that my back pain is worse now. I agree that the staff is warm and welcoming - and indeed very accommodating regarding patients. My "beef" is that after looking at initial X-rays, he (Dr. Hansen) essentially promised that he could reduce my chronic back pain. That did not happen. In fact, I would say that the pain is worse now. Maybe if you have insurance that will pay for the approximate minute the "doctor" spends "adjusting" you, go for ir, But, please do NOT buy into the 18 month spinal "expansion" I believe they call it - that provided me no relief whatever. Read the other reviews; perhaps their back pain was less chronic than mine or was/is less severe. I wish .you all the best of luck. Like most people who want your business, the office will be very friendly. We started out with a family and was given a package for unlimited visits at a discounted price. We had 4 family members as patients for over a year. When only one member was able to continue, the staff became very unfriendly and inflexible. The charged me about 3/4 of the price it used to cost for all four of us and told me I was now limited to only one visit per week instead of the twice a week I had been going. I was also told that if I choose to make that 2nd visit on any given week I would have to pay an additional fee up front before the treatment. This did not seem right, so I asked for Dr. Hansen to call me and he never did. I wrote letters and emailed asking to speak about a compromise in the plan and price and never received a response to many attempts. I guess the business practice of this office is that if you are on a higher paying group package, you are a welcome patient. If not, your business is apparently not appreciated. We took our entire family and signed up with Greco for a fraction of the price and were treated like we were welcome to come in multiple times as necessary. Wish we found Greco earlier instead of giving the years worth of business to an office that in the end did not appreciate it. read more

My daughter had a back spasm, and was looking for some relief. We made an appointment and went in. The "free consultation" is actually $70 because they insist on taking x-rays (which I'm against for kids who are still growing, but they refused to give her an adjustment without the x-rays so we felt we had no choice). Then they told us that we would have to make another appointment and plan to be there for 2 hours (!) so they could review the "findings" with us, and THEN on the third appointment, if we signed up for their plan, they'd adjust her. They also made us watch a video that claimed that people get cancer because their spine is out of adjustment, and people who go to the chiropractor don't get cancer. Which is a statement that is so irresponsible and lacking in any scientific basis, it's almost breathtaking. Bottom line, this is a money-making racket. We did not go back for their 2-hour meeting. Instead, I chalked the $70 visit for nothing up to an expensive lesson, and we found another chiropractor who adjusted my daughter right away to give her some relief. (After 2 visits to the other chiropractor, she's feeling good as new, by the way.) read more

When I was there, neither the office staff nor the doctors wore masks. Clearly, they aren't willing to endure a little inconvenience/discomfort to ensure patient safety or comply with a county health order. This is unacceptable for a health clinic of any kind. We saw many specialists at the top facilities like Children's Hospital, Shriners hospital and so on and it wasn't until we met him that our lives changed . He took my son from not walking & wasting away in a brace & a hospital bed due to almost paralyzingly spinal fractures to walking, standing up straight and smiling again in a matter of days. The service is very good, but what I was promised by Dr. Hansen did not happen. I have cervical disc herniation and lumbar scoliosis, after seeing my radiographs, Dr. Hansen did not promise me a cure, but said that at the end of his indicated treatment, I would be about 85% better, which did not happen. The improvement was around 30%, despite the expansive price charged to me and it didn't work as promised. I recognize the feeling of improvement during treatment, despite many ups and downs, I recognize the sympathy of everyone who works there, but unfortunately for me after the end of treatment everything came back as it was before. read more
