I called Advanced and they had the exact part I needed. It was 14' long and the lady answering the phone was very cordial in explaining that she could have a truck drop it off when in the area if I did not have a way to pick it up. That was thoughtful. I was able to take my trailer to their shop and retrieve the product. Pricing was decent and in line with other areas I price shopped. I turned to Yelp and found this company and sent them a note for a quote. Early next morning I get a text to set up an appointment. They sent a fair price and wanted to set up an appointment for the following Monday from 10-noon. "5" stars to this point. I scheduled some personal time to be home for the appointment. This is where it gets a bit hairy. At 12:20 I send a text to see if they are still coming. Response back is that tech was delayed and will be there in about an hour. 2:08 pm I send a note to see if everything is okay? Another apology and they think he is almost done at the job before mine. ETA of 30-40 minutes or an offer to re-schedule. Cannot really reschedule since I took time off. 3:20pm I send a note that no tech has showed up. He arrives about 5 minutes later. Tech has the job done in about 40 minutes. I go to pay him and he tells me he doesn't have the ability to take Venmo or a check. I reach out to the anonymous text and am told they can take a CC for a 3% fee. Woof. Instead they email me a bill and I go find a checkbook and a stamp. The actual spring replacement was great and quick. I really didn't like being the one chasing down my appointment and felt that if someone is going to be late (or late again, or again) they should be reaching out to me.

To my surprise they called back early Monday morning and were able to fit me in by 8am. Impressive! Our van was free to leave within 45 minutes and I was at work at a reasonable time. Total cost was about 250. I did not call around so I'm not sure if this was reasonable or not. When you're in a pickle sometimes you overpay, which may be something I did. The two guys who fixed the garage were professional and fast. I highly recommend this company with any garage door spring fixes.

I called Pioneer Overhead Door out to repair my overhead garage door because I had them do a repair…read morea few years ago and they did an excellent job. I again had them come out a few weeks ago because I had one of my automatic door openers fail. While out here I had them do their 29 point safety inspection. I had them do the inspection, safety checks, lubricate the door and service the door. They did a very poor job. They lubricated the overhead door spring by standing 3 feet way and spraying their lubricant in the direction of the spring. it did not look affective and so I got a ladder and looked closely. There was a light spray on the wall, but I could not see or feel any lubricant on the spring. The technician also lubricated the door rollers by standing 2 to 3 feet away and giving it a little squirt. There was no noticeable lubricant on the rollers or the roller bearings. I asked if he could give the door a little more lubricant and he said no, that is all they do. I asked the technician if he would connect the door opener to the door button in my car and he said no, read the manual and do it yourself. I was very disappointed with the service and so I called the office and talked to the owner of the company. He said he would talk to the technician and call me back to address my concerns. It has been over 6 weeks and I have not heard anything. I went to Lowes and purchase a can of garage door lubricant and lubricated the door myself. The auto button in the car is still not connected. I will not use Pioneer Overhead Door in the future.

Using Paintsmith was a negative experience our family and neighborhood won't soon forget…read more When Matt negotiated the paint job on our home we specifically requested top-of-the-line premium paints to be used, and he "gave us his word" that he and his crew would, and we were quoted for the difference in price. But then after starting the job my wife watched his workers, at his direction, pour paint from one entirely different generic looking bucket into another, and bring it into the house to continue painting. And when I came home at lunch, and asked Matt about it, he got condescending and started making some excuse about my wife being confused or that his workers were confused, even though they were only following his orders. But Matt kept insisting it would be fine. As I was walking back out to my car to return to the office I noticed the two "other" buckets of paint at Matt's vehicle, so out of curiosity I went to home depot where he said he bought his paint, and sure enough the other paint was significantly cheaper than the paint he promised to use in his bid and according to employees was not even close in quality to the more premium one that was supposed to be used in the job. I'm no paint expert, but the rooms they painted with the second paint even smelled different that night from the first where they started the job. Typical bait-&-switch of an unprofessional businessman, and had my wife not stayed home that day and been paying attention we wouldn't have known. The following day before settling the bill with Matt I again questioned the paint switch, and told him I wasn't comfortable paying full price for a job he used lower grade paint. He immediately got indignant and threatened to place a lien against our home if we didn't pay the bill in full, raising his voice at me in front of my wife and children. Even the neighbors heard him. Somehow I was hoping I was wrong, but now a year later the hallway and rooms that were painted with the cheaper paint are showing definite signs of wear, and you can even scrape it off with your fingernail. Needless to say I won't be using his services again, and rest assured being as his unsavory rant and threats turned into the buzz of the neighborhood, neither will a lot of other people.

We seriously had the best experience with Robert and Kasi. They really make a great team…read more I'll be honest we were concerned at first when we found out that the "crew "was a one man crew. But man do I tell you Robert can get so much done even in a day ! We were thoroughly impressed with his work. If we didn't like something or if we noticed something and pointed it out to him, he would fix it. Another thing that we really loved about them is their communication. We always knew when Robert was coming or going. There were no surprises of what time he was gonna show up, which with another company, we had nothing but issues and had no idea when they would show up and do work that was not the case with these guys!! They were both very professional and anytime we made adjustments They provided an updated estimate. Robert would even show us what he did at the end of each day as well. We initially contacted them for one big job in our basement, and we were so impressed with their work that we had them come back for 4 different jobs. I believe them to be extremely reasonably priced. They were a tad more than another company that we looked at, however, we are so glad that we went with these guys over them. I really only had one single complaint if you can even call it that. But sometimes Robert would use things without asking. (One Example: our nice kitchen broom to clean up construction dust) we just bought a new one and didn't say anything cause it's not a huge deal, but do wish he would have asked as we had another broom that could have been utilized for a dirty job. But seriously I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!
