Note: I went to the branch in SM MegaMall but there's no Yelp for that location. I'm assuming menu items are about the same. I was pretty full from lunch and wanted to order something light for dinner, so I opted for the Bacon and egg sliders. It was actually pretty good for something simple! It's hard to mess up bacon and egg though. The bacon was thick and was a good portion with the bread. The egg was cute (do they remove some of the egg white?) but again they are sliders so the size is fine. To share we ordered the Truffle risotto tator tots (mouthwatering) and the T.E. poutine (yum). Everyone else enjoyed their food as well (Amsterdam burger and Crispy chicken burger). Prices were very reasonable. Nice place to eat! Will be back!

The backyard burger with caramelized onions, fried egg and gruyère cheese!

So, just to be clear, I am reviewing the one in Greenbelt 2f. Well, since I am a huge fan of burgers, I can tell you that this dish was qualified as a good burger. It was well cooked at medium rare and it was rather small. It was tasty and I have absolutely no complaint. I was rather decided with the carbonara flatbread because it had a dough that was undercooked and it was rather bland. I think that the strength of the restaurant was the burgers. Maybe they should be careful for their flatbread menu. Staff: I felt like the waiters were attentive and I tip my hat to the cook because he delivered on the burger. The vibe really felt cozy and laidback! We were not pressured at all! Final grade: It was worth 20$ Canadian for two people and I would recommend just to give it a try. Especially their burgers because it was actually really delicious. However, there is much to be desired with their flatbread and I would strongly make sure that the dough is cooked.

A plethora of food

Cool setup for a burger joint has a very American vibe going on that of course attracted fellow cohorts and I easily. The food was good I ordered way too much stuff and really went with recommended stuff like Truffle fries- very regular fries imo but I ran thru them. Todd english chicken sliders- a little gamey for me but that's the way chicken is prepared here. and the backyard burger- cheese meat and bacon the usual. Nothing life changing but very delicious compared to what I've been eating before visiting the Philippines. A definite place for tourists not wanting to venture out in the culture of makati and all the real food they have. Btw there cups are pretty cool. They look the the ones for Moscow mules but they serve everything in them.

Burgers in a fancy place. They serve their burgers in a tray like In-N-Out, but wooden and not plastic. Their burgers didn't amaze us nor did the rest of the menu entice which is quiet limited. They only offer soda, we like to pair our burgers with a thick and rich milkshake, something I get at 8 Cuts. We'll give Pound another try, since I felt the same way with my first impression of 8 Cuts they're also a burger place by the way. T.E. or Todd English Burger (195 PHP) This their basic burger; Beef patty, tomato, lettuce, crispy onion, T.E. sauce, and mustard relish. If you're not sure on what to have this is your best option. Not the best in the market, just best if you just happen to be eating here and want something that's not too pricey. Remember none of their burger include fries. Amsterdam Burger (280 PHP) Beef Patty with Pastrami on top, gruyere cheese, Sauerkraut - finely cut cabbage that has been fermented, fried onion, T.E. sauce, and mustard relish. For the price and taste it's not recommended. Sweet Potato (150 PHP) Delicious thick cut sweet potato fries, but rather pricey for the serving size. Ambiance is sophisticated and calm for a burger place. The black furnishings and interior make the place feel premium in a good way. I still recommend this place for a good and quick lunch, but it won't compel you to return anytime soon.

Nice touch to keep with the theme.

Coming off of an intense workout yesterday at the Milo Fitcon and a quick one today at the Under Armour Test of Will 2016, I thought to treat myself to a meaningful meal before the work week starts. A friend recommended this place to me, since I told her I was craving specifically for beef. After fumbling around a bit, I found the place, which had a considerably intimate atmosphere to it. I ordered their entry-level T.E. Burger as my "treat myself" meal, and their T.E. Poutine to bring home to my family (I'm still on my way home as I type this, so my review will focus on the burger). The T.E. Burger, for its price (slightly more expensive than your premium fastfood burger at 195 PHP), offered exactly the artisan experience--superior/thematically-sound aesthetic (just look at that hashtag-seared bun!), quality ingredients, and definitely exquisite flavor. The patty was cooked medium rare, allowing for maximum juiciness. The mustard relish and caramelized onions played off each other rather well to provide good texture. The bun, while a bit oily, was soft to the bite. All in all, the burger went in smoothly. However, that brings me to the one issue I had with my burger (which I was half-expecting given that I was going into an artisanal burger joint): For all its great flavor, the portion size was just a bit undersized. As can be seen in the pictures, the burger does look a bit tiny--around 3/4 or even just 2/3 the average size of a premium fastfood burger. I was literally done with my burger in less than 10 minutes, and that includes the time I took taking pictures and chewing very slowly! All in all, however, the conducive setting and the well-cooked burger did still make for a worthwhile experience. I would recommend this place for a night out with friends.

Not bad. When you're craving for some burgers, this is the place to be. I wish they have beers on tap though to go along with their burgers.

2 Mini Burgers and a fries with bacon toppings. Good for 2 for only Php 400.

Plus, who doesn't love Bacon? Seriously. The place is small and cramped. There are a couple of high stools and three small tables under the "Long Live Bacon" sign. If you need to use the comfort room, you have to enter the secret room called ABV. It's a speakeasy and I will definitely talk about it more in another review. The food here is perfect for after a long night of drinking with friends. They offer a breakfast menu where you can customize your own plate. Want a bacon and egg sandwich made with 2 waffles? Go for it! But, in my opinion, the definite Must Try here are their Hotdogs! All their hotdogs are bacon-wrapped and deep fried! YUM! I recommend the Chili Dog (Php220) and the Kimchi Dog (Php190). Next time, I will have to try their Tater Bombs (bacon-wrapped potato tots)! But, it's always sold out when I arrive! Huhu! I can't wait to see what Lazy Bastard will "baconify" next! :D

I heard about hotdogs sold at Php 100 but never at these prices. My siblings and I decided to be adventurous and tried their hotdogs anyway. It was in Jupiter street and we found parking around the area. We saw their big sign that said "Bacon & Burgers this way". When I took a bite of their hotdog, I was enlightened. I tasted the hotdog sandwich's full potential. I experienced Lazy Bastard's BACON WRAPPED hotdog in a bun and topped with a load of toppings. I particularly found their Con carne and parmesan hotdog sandwich to be their bestest. On my next visit, I'm planning to try their AVOCADOG. On the other hand, I found their burger to be okay.

So that's when the burger frenzy started. I tried restaurant after restaurant, I think I was making up for lost time. Fast food burgers are okay and reliable for the most part, but sometimes we just want to eat something that's... I don't know, a little bit loved when it's cooked? I'm being funny here. I don't know. As for 8Cuts, well, for starters, the prices are a little higher than other budget burger houses. High price is pretty much a burger place understatement nowadays so nothing really surprising about that. At the very least 8Cuts doesn't charge too much on their burgers. The cheapest starters I could find was called The Dip of Warm, which is made of artichokes and spinach. So no I didn't get that. I got their mozzarella sticks Php 255 which was okay. They taste good and nothing out of place. For the burgers, they have Classic and Tributes. The classic ones are well, classic hamburgers and cheeseburgers while the tributes have some other knickknacks added to it. I got Hangover for around Php 295. That's a quarter pounder, by the way. I was satisfied with it although I didn't get to finish the whole thing. It was just too big for me. All in all, 8Cuts would be perfect if you're looking for a fries-and-burger-and-shakes fix.

It meant only one thing: Hawaiian food. In the Philippines. Oh my god. I must have it! Teddy's Kailua Burger is good if you like burgers with some awesome sauce beef, and I definitely recommend it. But to all my fellow non-burger-loving people out there, I ask that you try the Loco Moco or Western Loco Moco at Teddy's. Now you might be thinking, 'Loco Moco? What the heck is that? Will it turn me crazy?' Yes! Sort of. The Loco Moco is a modern Hawaiian dish with a sunny side up egg resting on top of a hamburger patty, which happens to lie over a bed of hot white rice, all slathered with their special gravy, and yes, it's amazingly simple. Slice through that egg and tender beef, mix the yolk with the sauce and the rice for a taste of paradise! And to take it up a notch, add bacon and onion rings with the Western Loco Moco. Either way, the Loco Moco is a mountain of awesome, like a burger without a bun and those pesky vegetables. Sorry, vegetables. Whether you're hankering for local Hawaiian food or simply curious about what something called a Loco Moco would taste like, Teddy's Bigger Burgers is the place to try it. Mahalo, Teddy's! (Four stars because their salmon poke isn't that good, though.)

They don't just offer your regular run-of-the-mill cheeseburger. They have different kinds of interesting specialty burgers. Their bestseller is Kailua Burger which is basically a cheeseburger with Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. Personally though, I like the Fire Burger. It had onion rings, bacon and the fire sauce which gave the burger a little spicy kick - just the way I like it. Also, the bun was super awesome and the new shoestring fries are addictive. Highly recommended. Go give it a try. And don't be afraid to go for the 9 oz. burger. It's not as big as the sample says it is. They have the pre-shrunk raw patty size on display. The patties aren't that thick.

This is how a burger should be done. Period…read more Nowadays, people take the simple burger and try to make it complicated. It's a burger patty and a bun. Do those 2 things correctly and you're 95% on the way to a good burger. I mean, what did the burger ever do to you? Okay, enough of my ranting. I'm just happy to have stumbled across The Beef a few weeks ago. I've been to Hole in the Wall 2 or 3 times already yet I've never tried The Beef. It's an inconspicuous looking black and gray colored shop with a sign stating "The Beef" overhead. Maybe the reason I overlooked it the first few times I visited. Their menu is intriguing because it consists of only 3 items: burger, cheeseburger and fries. I went ahead and ordered a cheeseburger with fries and waited patiently. Little did I know what was waiting for me when I took my first bite into this burger. The burger is delicious and everything I look for in one: juicy, huge beef flavor and I particularly liked the salty, seared crust on the outside. The bun holding the burger appears to be brioche and is soft and spongy, which absorbs all the juices as you consume it. These 2 components alone make this possibly the best burger I've ever tried in Manila. The burger is also dressed with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and other condiments which only enhance the experience. This thing literally had me daydreaming about it after my first visit and I kept bothering my girlfriend that we had to return and trust me, I will. Pros -One of the best, if not the best, burgers right now in the Metro. -Simple menu. Cons -Pricey. Burger and fries will set you back at least P350. -Fries are meh. Last but not least: Dill pickles on a burger? Yes. Raw cucumber and/or sweet pickles on a burger? NO, just NO. Just wanted to get that off my chest.
