Had a very great time with my family at this Pour House restaurant in Siren Wisconsin. This place has delicious appetizers and mouth watering burgers, I highly recommend everyone trying this place out !

Pizza, drinks, & Badgers Football. Cool sports bar with a liquor store connected. Pizza was very thin, cheesy, good sauce. A very good pizza. We sat & ate at the Bar. If in the area again would stop back. Go Bucky!

My compliments to the Chef! My Hot Beef Sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome! And for only $7.99! Again, KUDOS to the Chef for their Fresh Walleye Sandwich ($11.99)-the panko encrusted fish was lightly breaded & perfectly crunchy! It had a delightful walleye flavor (not too fishy)! Salute to the friendly waitress, Amber, who let us sample the Mango Pineapple Beer before ordering an entire pint!

I'm officially calling rural Wisconsin "Hidden Gem Country". Another unassuming little joint sits in the middle of Siren, WI called Pour House (not to be confused with the Minneapolis clubby joint by the same name) We hit up this spot for some patio dining on the way back from the cabin and it's huge menu, tasty burgers, and beyond reasonable prices didn't disappoint. Pictured is their staple Pour House Burger w/ two 1/4 lb. flame broiled patties, hickory smoked bacon, tons of melty cheese throughout, and extra onions by this guys request

Fantastic breakfast served until 1pm for us late morning people. Best Bloody's in town! We come here for breakfast every weekend!

It was decorated in cute farmhouse decor mixed with a cozy country feeling and was giving me some fun Mexican vibes. As our server was giving us a run down of the specials, she mentioned they have special date nights dedicated to serving only Mexican dishes and tasty margaritas! We'll have to come back to try it! As for the breakfast we had, it was served quite promptly, despite being busy. My husband had the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs and hash brown. It was one of the best he had! He asked for extra crispy hash browns and it was made perfectly! I had a simple breakfast of easy over eggs and bacon. It was quite delicious! Our server was very friendly and warm. They had a couple of people walking around making sure our drinks were always full. I highly recommend this cute cafe and will definitely be coming back!

We made our stop about 8am on a Sunday in June. We didn't go to the sit-down restaurant, just the bakery counter. We picked out an apple fritter, maple fried roll, and cinnamon roll. My husband had a coffee, too. I'm very glad they had napkins and also packaged moist towelettes for us to take as we headed out. Everything was quite good. The apple fritter was special because it was still warm, and so fresh that it still had an airy texture. The bite of maple fried roll I had was good. The bulk of the cinnamon roll was mine, and wow, it was fantastic. I loved the generous amount of frosting, and the bread was soft and good. There are many more things here I want to try, but they will need to wait for another trip north!

Inside was clean and it's super cute! Definitely coming back.

If you're vegan, vegetarian or need GF options, this is a perfect spot for you! The service was very friendly and collaborative - meaning we were offered great hospitality from all of the staff members. There are additional seating in the back of the restaurant and it was quite roomy. We really enjoyed the food and experience! We will definitely come again when in the area! Quick tips: - You order in front and will seat your party once everyone has ordered. This may have caused some bottlenecks in the line but we got there when it wasn't as busy. - Your food items will be delivered to your table. - Their hot chocolate and coffee drinks were so delicious! - Their cookies and treats are also a must try!

Note that you have to order here before being seated. Not too bad but does put the pressure on to order quickly so you can be seated before others. I went with the turkey melt and upgraded to fries and my partner got a turkey club with a fries upgrade. Together, this meal totaled just over $40 (no extra drink, we got waters). I feel bad giving a low score because of this but I do have to mention that the prices feel much higher than the quality of the food. Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified. Additionally, the food was good but not great. My tuna melt lacked a bit of flavoring and only tasted of mayo. Normally this would be fine for me but not when I paid above average for my food. This really is a nice restaurant and in an area that doesn't have too many of those. Our waitress was very attentive (almost too attentive) and the service was good but I don't think I'd choose to visit again.

I've also had the French toast, which is probably one of my favorite things there. The (pecan) waffle is also a highlight, even though I don't usually like waffles, but I like this one. The sausage links are my favorite protein there. Even though the omelet is a popular choice, it's personally not my favorite. They have booths and tables and also a counter. 8/10 Over all: maxine's is definitely a Rice Lake staple and serves delicious food no matter what you order. They serve like 3 variations of country fried steak. I chose the benny variety, my husband the sandwich. Both were good. Something I've definitely enjoyed in Vegas restaurants too. The pancakes are huge, but nothing special. I found the whole menu decent, but not notable by any means. The waitress and staff were very kind, as usual for the midwest. I was too embarrassed to ask for new silverware since mine were dirty. Lackluster diner with midwestern hospitality and average breakfast. I give it 4 stars since it probably is the best in the area.

Less Uffda, More Lefse: that's what this place is about! We…read morethought the service was lacking, especially for a Saturday morning (a relatively popular time for them). Since this was our first time, we had no idea that it was a 'seat yourself' type of place and there were no signs indicating so. We stood at the door being stared at by the patrons and the employees. It took several minutes for someone to tell us we could sit wherever. Finally, our waitress stopped over, took our drink order, but because we weren't ready, she left. She didn't come back for more than 15 minutes. She did apologize, but it was far too long. Prices were reasonable and two specials were offered - our kinda place! My husband took part in one of those specials and ordered the country fried steak and eggs. I ordered the regular steak and eggs. We did substitute an order of toast for the Swedish pancakes (gotta!) It took a really long time for our food to come, which was disappointing. Food did come out hot and my husband was a big fan of the country fried steak. I didn't think the Swedish pancakes were anything I would HAVE to order a second time, but I'm glad we tried them. The hashbrowns were probably the highlight of breakfast. A waitress did stop by with a dum dum for kids, which was a cute added touch!
